You do not need to register to download software from Softonic.

Simply click on the Free registration! link at the top right of any page and follow the onscreen instructions.
Please note that it is important to use a valid email address because you will need to confirm your registration by email before it becomes active.

Once you have confirmed your registration, simply enter your email address and password in the fields at the top right of the page and click on the arrow button next to the fields or press Enter on your keyboard.
You will know that you have logged in successfully when your username is displayed in the top right corner.
You can logout at any time by clicking on the X next to your username.
Back to topWhat is the User Control Panel?
The Softonic User Control Panel is your own little spot on the Softonic web site. From here you will be able to modify your personal information - including your password - and view your subscriptions, favorites and browsing history.
You can access this section by clicking on your username that is in the top right corner of the page once you have logged in.
There are four sections in the control panel:
My Details
On this tab you will find all of your personal information. You can change any of the information at any time but be sure to click on the Save button before continuing to another page.
This is also where you can change the email address you use to login and your access password.
Click on the appropriate links near the top of the My Details tab page.
My Subscriptions
From this tab you can add or remove subscriptions to the various Softonic newsletters that are published.
Be sure to click on the Save button before continuing to another page to update your information.
My Favorites
One of the best features offered on Softonic is the ability to bookmark your favorite programs directly on the site. This is a great way to keep track of any software that catches your eye and that you may want to revisit at a later time.
To add a program to your favorites, simply check the Add to My Favorites box that can be found on every program description page. A small window will open and then simply click on Ok to continue.
By far the most useful feature is Version Alerts which can be configured to notify you when there are new versions of your flagged applications.
On the My Favorites tab page, you can check the box in the Version Alert column next to a program that has already been marked as a favorite. Another method is to click the Alert me to new versions check box that appears on every program description page which will automatically add the program to your favorites and activate the version notification for this program.
You are also able to activate Opinion Alerts which work very similarly to Version Alerts. These alerts will tell you when another Softonic has added a comment to the corresponding program.
My History
Did you see a program yesterday that looked interesting but didn't have time to download? Can't remember the name?
The My History feature is designed to keep track of the latest programs that you viewed on Softonic. Simply click on any of the links on the My History tab page to access the program description page.
I registered but I can't log in. What do I do?
Upon submiting the online registration form, an email is automatically sent to the email address that you specified in the form.
In that email you will find a link that you must click in order to confirm your registration.
If clicking the link does automatically open your browser window, please copy and paste the link into a new browser window.
