In this game, you're in charge of...yep, you guessed it, a Little Empire! It's a lovely-looking game, with funny medieval music and lovely, detailed graphics. In Little Empire - which the developers says is a cross between a tower defense and strategy game - you'll have to build castles, wage war against your enemy and, of course, raise the funds and resources that you'll need to do this. Money is called Mojo, and although you'll start out with a certain amount, you'll have to buy or earn more.

Gameplay in Little Empire is a little complicated. There's a very quick tutorial when you start, but from there on in you'll need to click around in order to find out what you need to do. The main aim is to build profit-making ventures to gather resources, recruit an army, kit them out and march into battle. You can play one of 3 main characters, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

Little Empire takes a long time to get into. It's real time (unless you pay to speed things up), so there's a certain amount of waiting around for your strategies to take effect. There's also a strong social element to the game - supposedly, Little Empire is the first location-based 3D mobile game - and it's certainly got lots of opportunity to meet other players and share your victories and defeats.

If you like MMOs, and you have time and money to spare, Little Empire is a great way to waste time on your Android phone.

First launch Graffiti Anywhere and tap the "Enable" button. Go to the MemoPad application (or any application that needs text input) and create a new memo. The default activation button is the Datebook button (except for Treo 600 and 650 for which it's the Phone button). This game, simply called Sudoku, is one of the most in-depth incarnations of the puzzler I've seen and gives you lots of freedom over how you play it. When you start you can choose to set up the game board yourself, placing numbers on the 9 x 9 grid simply by clicking on a square and selecting one from the pop-up keypad, or using the Palm handwriting pad. It's great because this means you can effectively set the difficulty level of the game manually (there's also an auto option if you can't be bothered to do it yourself).

Once you're happy with the layout you press 'Go' to start playing. One of the most innovative things about the gameplay is that you can choose whether or not you want to 'set' a number. So, if you're not sure if the number will work in a certain square but want to mark your intention to play it you can do so by unselecting the 'Set' option. The number is then displayed in minature and you can add multiple numbers to one square to play around with possibilities.

There's lots of ways to customise the Sudoku board to your tastes, although strangely you can't play around with grid sizes. The only other niggle I found was that the handwriting recognition is a little iffy.

On the whole though, this is an enjoyable Sudoku clone with plenty of options to keep you amused for a long time.

The more fruit you eat, the longer the snake becomes, and therefore the more difficult it is to turn steer him around the screen. Controls are as simple as can be, and merely involve tapping one side of the screen to make the snake turn in that direction.

There are plenty of power-ups to collect in Snake Deluxe, too, such as presents which shorten the snake and clocks that give you more time.

The full version includes 32 levels set across four worlds, each with a different boss to defeat. There's an adventure mode, with a story you need to finish, and a free mode, where you can choose where you want to play.

If you're a fan of the motorsport and want to follow the season's thrills and spills on your Palm then you really shouldn't be without F1 Season 2010. The program contains a wealth of information about the calendar, courses, tracks, drivers and teams.

The menu structure in F1 Season 2010 is clear and simple: from the home screen you're given the option of choosing from the five aforementioned categories. The Championship section provides a ranking of the top drivers for the season, which is updated as the season goes on.

The Calendar menu gives you a run-down of the order and dates of the races, providing you with details of each course, such as the circuit length, web address, lap record, plus a basic illustrated map of the course. You also get the facility to enter the final positions of the drivers in each race. F1 Season 2010 is updated after each race but you'll need to download the updated program file every time.

Clicking the Drivers menu option in F1 Season 2010 gives you a list of all this year's drivers and even test drivers, containing info about date of birth, nationality, height, weight, number of races/podium finishes etc. For some reason it doesn't show you how many Grand Prix wins they have, and it would've also been nice to see photographs of the drivers.

Likewise, the Cars and Teams sections in F1 Season 2010 don't have an option for viewing photos of the vehicles either, which I found was a glaring omission.

Despite the lack of photography, F1 Season 2010 is full of stats and makes for an ideal companion to the motorsport season.
