When I was younger (in fact, it still applies now) I always wanted to have James Bond's Miss Moneypenny as my secretary. As I grow older, I realise this is becoming less and less likely to happen. However, I've just stumbled across a mobile app that will give me almost the next best thing.

Agendus is an excllent personal information manager designed to make you more you a more productive human being through your Windows Mobile Smartphone. The application combines the different standard applications such as address book, notepad, tasks and email, and supports data synchronization with Microsoft Outlook.

It's incredible to be able to manage and access so much information from one place, and it surprises me that Microsoft couldn't have come up with its own Agendus when it developed the Windows Mobile OS. The program centralises a huge range of tasks, including managing contacts, appointments, tasks, notes, SMS and emails.

There's a whole bunch of stuff you can do with this information using Agendus, such as displaying data in daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly views, grouping, editing and deleting. A powerful built-in full-text search ensures that whatever you need is always close at hand. Everything is very simple to synchronise too, using ActiveSync.

Thanks to an intuitive centralised interface and some slick integration with Outlook, this really is a product you can't afford to be without if you have a busy personal or professional life.

The standard Windows Mobile desktop isn't all that bad, but there's definitely a few things I would have done differently if I was a Microsoft developer. Facade provides you with the chance to use the mobile OS in a different way by applying a whole new desktop user environment to the device.

Once installed, the application fills the home screen with several new icons that provide you with quicker access to your applications and system information. This makes it great for quickly checking the weather, jotting down notes or viewing calendar events without having to wade through the menu system. The installation of Facade also applies one of a choice of three new skins to the desktop, which are all pretty classy.

The only downside of the app is that it tends to make the screen look a little cluttered, but if you're delving into lots of mobile applications and checking system information on a regular basis, it makes sense to install Facade.

There are plenty of list managers around so, to be good, new software packages need to offer either something very different or lots and lots of options. ListPro has always offered both of these things but now it has some great additions. Firstly the new formatting options make it easy to arrange all your plans exactly as you want including with bullet points and numbers. You can also now quickly access websites if you need to get some more information.

One of the best features is the 25 new templates that are provided to get things done extra quickly so you don't have to start from scratch the whole time. This can prove a bit disappointing as they are not always exactly how you want them, but in terms of getting lists finished quickly they are a great addition. Also you can now share your lists with other users which is a great idea in theory and especially helpful for 'favourites' lists with subjects like music etc.

We often take the Moon for granted, although, of course, it is actually very important to life here on Earth, controlling stuff like the tides, menstrual cycles and werewolves. As a result, it can sometimes be useful to check on the phases that the Earth's only natural satellite is in.

I would've liked to see pictorial representations of the Moon's phases, or the ability to create tasks and appointments and use this as a normal calendar too. After all, how many times are you actually thinking about the Moon?
