trackIT: TimeZone Edition Lite 2.2.1 - Powerful World time clock and calculator

Don't you hate it when you make a business call to someone in another country only to realize you've got them out of bed because you forgot it was 3 in the morning over there? For the benefit of clients, friends or family abroad installing trackIT: TimeZone Edition might be a good idea.

trackIT: TimeZone Edition is a powerful World clock application for your Blackberry. The program allows you to set the local time based on where you are on the planet then display the time in up to six different cities, within the same window. There are more than 500 locations to choose from.

Besides being able to simply display the current time in multiple cities, trackIT: TimeZone Edition boasts a neat calculator feature whereby you can enter a date and time in your one location and find out exactly what the date and time will be in another place at the same time. There's also a rudimentary meeting planner to help you co-ordinate events and appointments in different places around the globe.

Another great thing about trackIT: TimeZone Edition is that it is highly customizable. You can tweak all manner of display settings, such as the clock type (i.e. analog or digital), background color, screensaver, fonts, etc. In fact the only thing trackIT: TimeZone Edition really lacks is the ability to set up alarms.

If you want to keep track of time everywhere around the World then trackIT: TimeZone Edition represents a clear and easy way if displaying this information.

This latest version of CT Alarm Clock makes waking up a slightly more pleasant experience. You can disable one day's alarm without affecting the rest of the week. Or just define each day of the week separately and store all changes.

Choose how long the alarm plays for and wake up to the sound of your choice. Either use saved sounds or import an MP3, WAV or MID file. 'Can't get out of bed' by the Charlatans? Perhaps most convenient of all is the snooze facility that means you can stop the alarm with just one-click.

Yet again, my alarm failed to wake me up properly this morning and consequently I was late for work (sorry boss, if you're reading this). So I decided to install this application in an effort to properly alert myself to when it's time to be doing something.

Y-Alarms allows you to program and activate multiple alarms on your mobile phone. Besides using it to wake you up, you can set alerts for things like the time you're supposed to arrive at work, the start of your favourite TV series, and the times of meetings, classes, appointments, etc.

Unfortunately, because the app is still in development stage there are a number of features missing, such as the ability to set different alarms for different dates, and the graphical interface is pretty awful to look at too. Nevertheless, it provides a useful way of programming multiple reminders, so I won't have any excuse for being late for work tomorrow. Drat.

The days when I wore a watch on my wrist are long gone and these days my mobile phone is my sole form of time telling.

It's a pretty good alternative to a more old-fashioned timepiece, but I often wish I didn't have to squint at the small clock display so much just to find out what time it is. Well, thanks to Large Time Screensaver I don't have to anymore because the utility shows the time in big, bold numerals whenever the phone is idle.

The screensaver can be enabled fairly easily by enabling it in your themes application. once installed it will display not only the time but also other information such as the date and the number of unopened messages and missed calls.

There's a fair amount of customization available such as the ability to change the background color of the screensaver, although unfortunately at the moment there is no analog clock display.

If you're looking for an even easier way to tell the time on your phone, it's well worth installing this one.

Time is a very strange beast. Sometimes it whizzes past and other times it ticks by at a snail's pace. Why is that? Best Timer won't answer that question, but it will help you control the passage of time by setting up different timers for different events. Its interface is beautifully organised into two windows - one for creating and managing all the countdown accounts and another for viewing the passing of time until the event occurs.

This makes Best Timer very practical for managing baking times, measuring the times of certain processes and logging sporting achievements.

Remind Me 3.20 (S60 3rd) - Get alerts for missed calls, voice mail or unread SMS

Fed up of missing calls or important text messages because you forget to check them? Wish you could have some sort of reminder that prompts you to access them? Well, look no further than Remind Me, which lets you do so with ease.

The Symbian application offers you a sophisticated system of notification, either through a series of beeps or email alerts, including alerts via MMS or notices that change the lighting of the screen.

The app takes a bit of configuring due to its high customisability factor. This is not necessarily a bad thing though as for missed calls, unread SMS messages and voicemails you can set separate alert tones, adjust the volume of each tone.

Another nice feature is the ability to set which phone Profiles to enable the alerts in. This means that if you're in an important meeting, or driving a car the alerts will not sound. Nevertheless, if you forget to set this option, or change your profile when in a quiet place, the tones can be pretty annoying when they constantly go off.

If you're forever missing important calls and messages then Remind Me is well worth a look.

Mobylo! MultiAlarm 4.1.0.4 - Improve your Blackberry's built-in alarm clock function

he alarm that ships with BlackBerry is pretty limited in functionality; we just have one alarm. Wouldn't it be nice if we could have multiple alarms? Each based on a set of rules! So that if you want to set a new alarm, you don't have to loose the old one.

Now you can have it. Mobylo! MutliAlarm has not one, not two, not three, but five different alarms! Each of these can be set independently to fire on specific days only!

For example,

One alarm, to wake me up every day at 5:00 AM so that I can rush to office and (at least once ;) surprise my colleagues

The second alarm, that would fire up every Mon, Wed and Friday at 6:00 PM (so that I know its time to hit the gym.)

The third one, on Saturday and Sundays 9:30 AM; Tennis court with friends

and so on...

So while MultiAlarm will alert you on workdays for office appointments, it will also alert you on weekends for activities, and on each Sunday and Tuesday for the episode of Desperate Housewives that you oh-so dearly love!

But wait! There's more. There are Holidays; you can tell the 'daily morning 5:00 AM alarm' to keep silent on holidays (coz you want to sleep lazily on holidays :) Now you can. Each alarm can be told to remain Silent or Active on holidays!

Oh and did we mention, it has a nice and quick 'Once-off' alarm as well, which goes off once only and then automatically removes itself! Great for setting a quick reminder for a one-time event.

Features:

Frequency: Daily, Mon-Fri, Sat-Sun and a quick Once-off alarm!

Custom Alarms: Set the alarm to run on specific days of the week!

Multiple Ringtones: Set different alarms to different ringtones.

Enjoy Holidays: Set the alarm to Silent or Active on holidays!

Pre-loaded list of Holidays included. Customize it to your Country, or Company’s official list.

Force Snooze: Never miss an Alarm because the snooze was off!
