DesignClock is one of the more useful screensavers available for Series 60 phones. It places an animated digital clock on your device, along with icons that indicate new emails or missed calls. There's also a calendar that shows you clearly what day it is.

There are a number of customization options within DesignClock, such as the ability to set the start time and duration time of the animation, as well as tinkering with the font color and transparency.

DesignClock comes with just two preset backgrounds: a Windows-style grassy wallpaper, and a beach one. You can add your own pictures though, if you're not happy with either of these.

If you want an attractive way of telling the time on your phone, DesignClock makes for a neat solution.

This handy app turns your iPod into a stylish digital clock and alarm. The neon green-on-black clock skin bears a striking resemblance to Night Stand, but this is no bad thing, as it looks good and is easy to see from a distance. Bear in mind though, that you need to keep the app running in order for the time to stay displayed on your iPhone.

The settings menu in Alarm Clock Free gives you the ability to toggle the clock between 12 and 24-hour modes. Here, you'll also find the alarm configuration options. You can set up multiple alarms, give them names, enable/disable snooze, and set the time of the alarms (obviously). There are several different alarm sounds to choose from including Digital, School Bell, Cuckoo and Old Clock.

Ultimately, however, Alarm Clock Free doesn't really bring much innovation with it, and it doesn't do much more than the default iPhone alarm. There are less sounds, and you can't even use your tones or iPod tracks as alerts.

The clock display in Alarm Clock Free is great, but the functionality doesn't quite match up to its pretty face.

There are plenty of alarm clock apps in the Google Play store but none are as complete as Alarm Clock Ultra Free. It includes a timer, stop watch, egg timer, nap alarms, and beautiful home screen widgets. The paid version gets you even more features like social network updates and weather.

The alarm clock function of Alarm Clock Ultra Free is actually very good. It includes a bunch of different alarm sounds and gives you the option to choose songs from your music library to play. There is an option to gradually increase the volume of the alarm for a less jarring wake up. There is a nap mode where you can choose between 15, 30, 60 and 120 minutes for a quick snooze.

The stopwatch and timer included in Alarm Clock Ultra Free work as you would expect. There is even an egg timer with instructions on how to cook eggs. Although you may never use some of the features in Alarm Clock Ultra Free, it's nice knowing they're there.

Lastly, there are some really beautiful widgets that come with Alarm Clock Ultra Free. If you're a fan of the HTC Sense flip clock widget, this will emulate the look. Unfortunately the widget doesn't do much other than open up your alarms, unlike another app, Beautiful Widgets, which gives you a clock and weather updates.

Overall, Alarm Clock Ultra Free is an excellent free application that gives you powerful alarm features and a handful of other useful features.

Unlike the default alarm on many BlackBerry phones, MyAlarm allows you to configure multiple alerts, so you can have different alarms set up at the same time.
