You should be aware that this tool is not a full featured graphic editor, but just a simple app to add frames, borders, shadow effects and watermarks to your images. You can work both with single images one by one or in batches, and preview the final result at all times in the program's interface.

There isn't a wide selection of frames in Framefun. In fact, the only frame available is a plain line with customizable width and color. But the combination of this frame together with a border and a shadow effect can achieve really good results. The program can also add watermarks to your images, either in text format or as a small graphic.

I specially liked the possibility of using FrameFun in batch mode. It takes a while to understand the way it works because it's not very well implemented and poorly documented, but once you get the idea, it really saves you loads of time.

Though it doesn't include many frames to choose from and its batch mode could be improved, FrameFun is still a great tool to add frames, borders and shadow effects to your photos in a snap.

Photo/Graphic Edges is a photo editing tool that lets you add beautiful frame and border effects to your images in a very easy way. All you have to do is load a photo, pick the effect you want to apply to it and enjoy the result.

The best thing about Photo/Graphic Edges is that it's easy enough for the design-challenged, while offering a handful of settings, tweaks and other options for the more advanced users who prefer to control every single detail.

Despite the demo limitations, Photo/Graphic Edges includes a wide array of frames, borders and other effects which can dramatically improve your photos. On the downside, I didn't find the interface very usable: menus are a bit hidden, and most buttons don't even have a tooltip (when the cursor hovers over them) to indicate their function.

The program offers a few simple options to change the transparency and framing of the photos. Alternatively, you can choose a new template or background to place your photos on. There is a huge choice of templates ranging from dark walnut wood, to a varnished look or even a frame based on the design of your specific photo. In summary, you've basically got a choice between a computer generated frame or a fixed frame. If you choose the template option, the program will frame the picture according to the photos dimensions or you can convert the image to fit the frames dimensions although you may lose some image quality doing this. You'll need to register to save and load frame configurations however which is worth doing if you're going to use it regularly.

A simple and effective little program that gives even the worst photos an extra touch of class.
