http://fotobounce.en.softonic.com

Fotobounce lets you manage and organize the photos stored both in your hard drive and your online albums on <taglink type="program" country="en" id="118150">Facebook</taglink> and <taglink type="program" country="en" id="110351">Flickr</taglink>.

With Fotobounce you can easily download all the photos uploaded and shared by you or your friends both on Facebook and Flickr, either one by one or in batches – including complete sets and albums. After the usual request to access your Facebook and Flickr's accounts, Fotobounce will immediately display a list with all your friends, each one of them with their correspondent photos.

Fotobounce's interface is not very user-friendly, and the program doesn't include any editing tools either. Also, it displays banners on top of the window, a small detail that doesn't interfere with the program's functionality but which is a bit annoying.

That said, the truth is that Fotobounce is quite useful – and also surprisingly fast – when downloading pictures from both Facebook and Flickr. Plus it has some nice features such as the ability to tag people on pictures (by automatic face detection) and the possibility to browse images by album or by date.

Do you need to manage dozens of photos from Facebook or Flickr? Fotobounce can lend you a hand with that.

Download Fotobounce 3.7 in Softonic

FastPictureViewer Professional 1.6.226-Minimalist photo viewer to quickly browse image folders

http://fastpictureviewer.en.softonic.com

If you're tired of the Windows native image viewer and want to use another tool to browse through your photos, look no further. We found it for you: FastPictureViewer.

FastPictureViewer is a fast, straightforward photo viewer that lets you scan the contents of a whole photo folder in a very easy way. You can move along pictures with many different key combinations (arrow keys, + and – keys, page up and page down keys) and also the mouse wheel. Plus the mouse buttons can be customized to quickly zoom in a photo.

FastPictureViewer works only with JPG and HD photo formats, and also supports XMP ratings which are compatible with popular photo tools like Adobe Lightroom.

That said, don't expect to find many other features in this program. FastPictureViewer doesn't include all the bells and whistles you could expect from an image viewer. I would say FastPictureViewer is especially addressed to users who just need a tool to quickly review photos and pick those which need further editing.

The program features a sleek, dark interface with a minimalistic design that contributes to put all the attention on the photo itself.

FastPictureViewer is an attractive, easy photo viewer that's mainly focused on browsing large picture collections and doesn't include any extra tools like the ones you find in similar apps.

Download FastPictureViewer Professional 1.6.226 in Softonic

IrfanView 4.32-Try a fast and flexible image viewer and editor

http://irfanview.en.softonic.com

In these days where most things have been commercialised to the hilt, it’s always refreshing to come across a free piece of software that performs as well as its pricey rivals. Irfanview has long been a shining example of such a program, and I’ve been using the app for some time for perusing and managing my ever-growing photo collection.

Amazingly, since Bosnian developer Irfan Skiljan released the image viewer back in 1996, he’s generously kept it free of charge in spite of its massive popularity. Perhaps even more incredibly, the app still stands at just over 1Mb, bucking the trend of programs that swell immensely as the feature updates go by. In fact, it’s Irfanview’s slimline qualities that are its greatest asset, helping to make it the fastest image viewer in the West. Images load almost instantaneously when you click on them and you get rapid-fire results when cycling through a directory of photos using the Back and Forward buttons. It’s only when you’re flicking through vast amounts of images using the thumbnail viewer that things get a bit slow, which could easily be remedied do with an improved caching function.

Another of Irfanview’s crowd-pleasing talents is its ability to handle an enormous range of different file formats, including g, somewhat rarely, icon (.ico) files. Unlike many of its rival tools, Irfanview doesn’t try to impose itself as the default viewer for all image types, giving you the option to specify the formats you wish to associate with it for yourself.

The program’s functionality can be expanded by installing plug-ins that allow Irfanview to open other file types, such as movies and audio – again a unique feature among photo viewers. You also get a smattering of basic editing features such as crop, rotate, flip and resize, along with some bread-and-butter effects like blur and sharpen, plus a smart crop function.

Upon first try, many users might be put off by the somewhat basic interface and the fact that it loads new images externally, rather than within the GUI itself. Nevertheless this is a small sacrifice to pay for a program that proves to be probably the quickest way to view images on your PC.

Download IrfanView 4.32 in Softonic

Picasa 3.9.1.535-The latest Picasa, packed with new features

http://picasa.en.softonic.com

When it comes to photo viewers there are many alternatives to choose from. Picasa has always been a favorite here at Softonic, and this new version has made it our absolute top choice.

Organize your photos

The all-new Google Picasa keeps the same interface structure of previous versions, but features new enriching options to manage, edit, and show off your photos in an even more comfortable way, both offline and online – thanks to the Picasa Web Album syncing tool.

Picasa displays all your indexed photos in a handy folder structure. You can let the program scan the whole drive in search for pictures or select specific directories. A double click on any image will display it in full screen and let you access to a handful of basic editing tools: cropping, straightening, adjusting color and light or fixing red eye, among others.

New features

The latest version of Picasa includes a couple of exciting new features: facial recognition and geo-tagging. The first one means that Picasa can now scan your photo library, recognize and extract people's faces, and finally let you add a name to them. The process takes a while to get started – loads of faces to tag and names to write down – but if you go to the Unnamed tag under the People album, you'll be able to add new names and faces in batches and get the job done much quicker. As for the geo-tagging function, it's now easier to use thanks to the embedding of Google Maps in Picasa: simply select the photos you want to geotag, open Google Maps by clicking on the 'Places' button, navigate to the appropriate location and click OK.

We especially like Picasa's Photo Viewer, which you can configure to replace the original Windows default image viewer. It offers more tools and displays photos on a much nicer interface when viewing them directly in Windows Explorer, so when Picasa asks you if you want to use it, don't hesitate!

But Picasa is not only about viewing and fixing images. You can also give free rein to your imagination with its tools to create posters, collages, screensavers and even movies. The greatest thing about these tools is not only the fact that they give you the ability to create something unique and original with your photos; it's also that they're surprisingly easy to use, and don't require any tech abilities or photo editing skills at all.

Conclusion

The all-new Picasa has successfully completed what seemed a difficult task: improving a software app that was already very good.

Download Picasa 3.9.1.535 in Softonic

Once they end up uploaded to your computer, it can be easy to get them mixed up pretty quickly. Having a tool that will help you organize your photos is of utmost importance as a consequence.

Thanks to Orgfoto, users can avoiding having hundres of pictures with unintelligible file names like DSC04897 or similar. Orgfoto will rename your digital images if you so choose. Orgfoto can also add the date they were taken, the author's name and the model of the camera that took the pictures. avoid having hundreds of pictures with names like DSC04897 unintelligible or similar.

Unfortunately, Orgfoto only has a few options, and nothing's very advanced.
http://jetphoto-studio.en.softonic.com

Picasa may be the leading photo management app on PC but JetPhoto Studio is a nice alternative if you're looking for something different.

JetPhoto Studio doesn't really compare with the big boys but it does offer a greater degree of control and processing power over your images in certain areas. JetPhoto Studio will import pictures from your camera as soon as you connect it. Alternatively, you can browse to albums on your PC or allow JetPhotoStudio to perform a full scan of your system.

The main interface is well presented and allows you to browse photos by date. There is a set of basic editing tools which allows you to crop images and add a few effects such as sepia, black and white, image contrast, and auto enhancing. You can also batch resize your photos and protect them with a watermark. JetPhoto Studio also enables you to rate your own photos via a star system, as well as tag them. However, tags are not transferable from one album to another and you have to create a new one every new album you create.

One of the better aspects of JetPhoto Studio is the ability to create screensavers, wallpapers, slide-shows and Flash movies from your collections. Unfortunately, however, there ¡s very little control over the types of animations and speed of the transitions. Finally, it's worth adding that you send JetPhoto Studio images via SMS or infrared, to your friends’ mobiles, although this only works within the US. The developer has also recently added geo-tagging for GPS recognition in Google Earth. The best way to share your photos in online though and JetPhoto Studio makes this relatively easy via Flickr or the JetPhoto server.

Jet Photo Studio is a comprehensive photo management tool that's a bit bloated in areas but offers some interesting features.

Download JetPhoto Studio 4.11 in Softonic

http://acdsee_photo_manager.en.softonic.com

ACDSee Photo Manager lets you take full control of your photo collection from start to finish; it helps you import them to your PC from various sources, organize them in folders, fix any that need repair, add a few special filters and effects and finally share them in a variety of ways.

The new version of ACDSee Photo Manager has improved its interface design, making it even easier to use. You still have a tree-like folder structure on the left side and the contents of the selected folder displayed on the main area, but there are now four tabs on top of the window: Manage, View, Edit and Online.

Each one of these tabs in ACDSee Photo Manager serves a different purpose: Manage lets you browse and organize your images in an intuitive file explorer; View is the perfect tool to view your images in full screen; Edit includes a bunch of tools to repair and optimize your photos; and finally Online lets you share your photos by uploading them to ACDSee Photo Manager’s image hosting service, ACDSeeOnline.com.

Something I especially liked about ACDSee Photo Manager is its set of creative tools. You can easily create a slideshow, a contact sheet, a photo CD, a video DVD or an HTML album with your photos to share them with family and friends.

ACDSee Photo Manager is a feature-rich photo suite that includes everything you need to manage, organize, fix and share your pics.
ACDSee Pro Photo Manager 5.0.110-Comprehensive photo and image management

http://acdsee-pro-photo-manager.en.softonic.com

ACDSee Pro Photo Manager helps you organize and keep track of all of the photographs and other images you have on your PC.

ACDSee Pro Photo Manager includes a useful set of tools that allow you to classify images according to self-created categories, ratings and "auto categories" that are based on the image's EXIF data. A nice search tool is also included - simply enter the first few letters of the file's name and ACDSee Pro Photo Manager will find it in seconds. This is quite a useful feature, as is the ACDSee Pro Photo Manager Help system, which seems fairly complete.

Among some of ACDSee Pro Photo Manager's strong points are the ability to perform batch operations and an interesting develop option that allows you to safely tweak your photos' specifications. ACDSee Pro Photo Manager is also configured to make the most of internet functionality, with good email and online sharing options, including the ability to upload directly to Flickr.

The developers of ACDSee Pro Photo Manager have vastly improved the installation process in this newest version. Unfortunately, you still have to enter your email address to receive an unlock access code to the trial version, which might annoy some users. The interface is a bit cluttered too, and can be confusing when you first get started. The interface includes directory tree structure on the left, the selected folder's contents in the central pane and a handy options menu on the right to categorize, tag and rate your pictures.

ACDSee Pro Photo Manager may appear a bit overwhelming at first, but it is actually a very comprehensive photo management option.

Download ACDSee Pro Photo Manager 5.0.110 in Softonic

Exif Pilot Lite 4.4-Simple application to view EXIF data of your photos

http://exif-pilot.en.softonic.com

If you are a serious photographer, then you'll understand the importance of EXIF files which give you detailed data about the exposure and other aspects of your photos.

Exif Pilot allows you to read the information contained within EXIF photos taken with a digital camera including such things as the date and time the photos was taken, the exposure time, the EXIF version that was used, shutter speed, flash use and even focal length. Using it is as simple as using any file browser such as Explorer - just select a folder with images in the Folders panel, choose some files to use in the files table and you can read all the information you need instantly in the properties panel. If you only want to view those photos with Exif data, then you can always sort photos by clicking on the EXIF column title in the files table and it shuffles them immediately. Unfortunately, previewing your photo is not particularly well taken care of as the preview Window is very small - you may be better to use a third party application to see exactly what your image looks like. What should happen is that by reviewing the EXIF data however, you'll learn under what conditions and focus you are producing your best pictures. Note that in this free version, you can't edit the EXIF data - only view it.

For serious photographers or amateur photographers who seriously want to improve their photo skills, EXIF Pilot Light is a simple but highly useful tool.

Download Exif Pilot Lite 4.4 in Softonic

Pictomio 1.2.31-Spectacular 3D photo viewer

http://pictomio.en.softonic.com

Pictomio is a photo viewer that enables you to search your hard drive for photos and create presentations with them.

The main outstanding feature is that Pictomio turns all your photos into 3D images giving your collection a really cool and unique look. It's great for impressing friends or just breathing life into old images. Previously, from the visualizer in Pictomio you, could only see the photos, their EXIF information and histograms. Up until early 2008 you could only score them and rotate them but now the program has reached Beta stage and it has to be said, it's an impressive package. The program is now a much more serious photo manager contender with completed features such as 3D models for albums and categories, improved models for drives, album/category sidebar to quickly drop your images, automatic upgrade checker and a filter drop down menu amongst many others. This is only a tiny selection of the program's new functionality as other completed features include the saving of user settings (positions and sizes of UI elements, view mode, filter settings, etc.), direct renaming of thumbnails and a new option to show and hide hidden files. Of course, the program is still in beta stage which means that it may be vulnerable to some bugs and errors although none were noted. Of course, Pictomio still also allows you to categorize photos by topics, sort and view your photos by date, rating, or category and view every pixel of your photos using smooth liquid zooming. You can of course still also view your photos in a slideshow presentation.

This is a very easy to use but powerful program and deserves to do well in the 3D imaging market.

Download Pictomio 1.2.31 in Softonic
