Tetro Challenge is a remake of the popular Russian puzzle that features the same playability and addiction level as the original game. In fact I've had to force myself into writing this review before spending too much time testing it!

This colorful Blocks clone features several different gaming modes (Challenge, Destroyer, Panic and Bricklayer), a decent soundtrack and sound effects and quite a few challenges to keep you hooked for a while during a pause from work. So, depending on the type of game you choose, you'll have to fight against extra blocks, weirdly shaped pieces and other obstacles.

On the downside, I missed having two ways to rotate bricks like in the original game (in Tetro Challenge you have to choose between clockwise or counter-clockwise). Also, I didn't like the fact that the game opens up its own website every time you play it.

Despite these minor flaws, Tetro Challenge is a very entertaining, decent puzzle game that will keep you amused for hours.

Although it's what would traditionally be called an "Action Puzzle", BoXiKoN is a bit different. There is more of an emphasis on planning, organization and selection and less on arcade style quick reactions.

BoXiKoN consists of 15 levels and more than 60 shapes of increasing complexity which you can position anywhere on the game grid. This requires a bit more creative powers and strategic planning than you get with standard falling shapes style puzzle games.

BoXiKoN is a lot of fun although it's probably a bit too taxing for kids. The sound effects are also rather limited and you may experience some bugs when lifting blocks from time to time.

Overall though, BoXiKoN is a decent attempt at making puzzle games a little different.

The only slight difference is that ClickTris adds a new block shape, in the form of a cross, which adds a little bit more difficulty to the challenge.

While you can customize the game board to your liking, the various themes are all pretty hideous. Although the presentation is poor the game itself is still a winner and it's testament to ClickTris' longevity that it took me four hours to write this short review!

Downfall is actually a lot lighter than that - a fun arcade puzzle game, that pretty much rips off Tetris and the Columns game by Sega. If nothing else, Downfall is remarkably easy to learn - you simply have to drop stacks of colored blocks to form lines that then "connect" and disappear. Downfall has 30 different formats and playing boards to play on and the 3D graphics and animations are very smooth if not particularly impressive.

Each different playing board is littered with potential stumbling blocks such as sticks of dynamite, snow shovels and wrecking balls etc. Each Downfall board therefore requires a particular level of skill and presents a different challenge if you get bored with one or the other. You can also import and export high scores from Downfall which is handy for comparing with friends and family although it would be much easier if these were just stored online under a profile or something. It does maintain the highest score however even after it's closed down, meaning you've always got something to aim for.

Downfall is not particularly original or blessed with great graphics but it's a decent time waster that will provide at least a few hours of fun.

CornerChaos consists of 4 corners joined by a deep groove into which the balls fall and slide towards the center. Once the balls have slid down the groove, they rest against each other in the center. If four balls of the same color are touching, they're removed from the game. Once all four balls disappear from the CornerChaos interface, you have more space for more balls - which sometimes allows other balls to fall into their place.

As the levels progress in CornerChaos, the number of different balls increases, making it more and more difficult to create color groups. On the plus side, there's no rush because you have no time limit to adhere to and the controls are very easy to use. CornerChaos starts off quite gently so that only a small range of colors are used - not all of the 77 balls will be used in each pack. However, you will always notice more red and blue balls compared to other colors, so you can plan for this.

Beware that in later levels of CornerChaos, black and brown balls are very rare so be careful with those.

CormerChaos is a fun and easy-to-play strategy game that combines some of the fun of Tetris; although the action is pretty slow paced.
