What's inside?

There are four main different elements to Quickoffice Pro: a word processing utility, called Quickword; a spreadsheet application called Quicksheet; a tool for creating presentations, known as Quickpoint; and a PDF editor called QuickPDF. These allow you to import documents created in Microsoft Office (in Word, Excel or Powerpoint format), or Adobe Acrobat, in the case of QuickPDF. You can also export documents you've created or edited in Quickoffice Pro into these formats.

Working with Quickoffice Pro is surprisingly straightforward. You use the on-screen keyboard to enter text, data and numbers, and access each utility's tools using the Menu button.

Although many of the formatting options and advanced manipulation tools from Microsoft Office are missing from Quickoffice Pro, there's enough features in the suite to allow you to create decent documents. For instance, Quickword boasts things like a word count, spell checker (available as a separate download), find and replace and the ability to insert tables, images and bullets.

Another useful feature of Quickoffice Pro is a tool that allows you to retrieve and edit documents that you have saved in the cloud. The app supports Google Docs, Dropbox, SugarSync, MobileMe , Evernote and more. You can save files back to the cloud, as well as sharing them via email, SMS or Bluetooth from within the app.

If you're looking for a word processing or office solution for your Android phone, you'll struggle to find anything better equipped than Quickoffice Pro.

If you're doing lots of work, or if you want to create large sheets then it gets a bit awkward given the fact that typing data is a lot slower and the screen is much smaller than you'd get on a PC.

Nevertheless, for working on smaller documents or viewing Excel sheets on the move, MiniExcel represents a great solution.

However, I feel the program could've gone a little further in terms of making viewing easier. For instance, it would've been nice to have a way of quickly zooming in and out using hotkeys or the directional buttons, instead of having to wade through the options menu every time.

Aside from this point, MobiSystems OfficeSuite is a fast and powerful solution for viewing and editing documents on the move.
