If you like Notepad++, you'll love Notepad++ Portable. It keeps the same great functionality of its big brother, but in a new edition specially designed to be stored and used in a USB memory key.

Once installed, the application hardly takes 2 MB of space, so it's suitable even for the smallest removable drives. Should you wish to specifically save a reference point you can add up to nine bookmarks, although you can’t assign names to them - an addition that would have helped clarify what function each snippet serves.

To use the run and preview feature you must install PHP on your PC, a simple operation when compared to setting up your computer as a server that can process PHP. With a syntax check also included, this tool comes highly recommended to anyone that will be writing significant bodies of PHP. DzSoft PHP Editor may be a little rough around the edges, but with its outstanding functionality, that can be forgiven.
