Best of all, its absolutely free and a pleasure to use. It is supposed to be designed for use with Griffin Technologies iKaraoke hardware which unfortunately, is discontinued. However, there's absolutely nothing to stop you creating your videos, exporting them to iPod, iPhone, QuickTime or AppleTV format (which TunePrompter automatically does for you) and then burning the results to disc.

Once you've opened TunePrompter simply load your Karaoke track which can be in MP3 format. Then, use the "Search Lyrics" tool to automatically search the web for the right lyrics. Paste them into TunePrompter and then click "Sync Lyrics". You then have to listen to the music and tap the spacebar at the right tempo with the lyrics. Once you're done, go to Preferences, select the format you want to export to and you're done!

The only drawback is that you need Karaoke tracks of your favorite songs to load into TunePrompter. It's obviously no good loading in the original MP3 because the real vocals will drown-out yours!

TunePrompter is about as easy as it gets when it comes to creating your own Karaoke videos.

RadioSure Portable allows you to browse through a huge variety of stations, sorting by language, country, genre and title. You can also add new stations and toggle a variety of configuration settings that run from enabling hotkeys to recording radio.

There are various ways of listen to RadioSure Portable - via the main interface, minimized to a smaller bar, or minimized completely to the taskbar. The taskbar option will let you carry out the majority of actions you need by right-clicking.

Even though RadioSure Portable has lots to recommend it, the problems Elena mentioned in version 1 still stand. Some radio connections are dropped and some won't connect at all. This is a common problem with streaming music apps, however, and RadioSure Portable has so many stations available that you won't be stuck for music to listen to. There's still no in-built payer to listen to your recordings though, and I felt that the search function wasn't as good as it could be.

Despite a few small problems, RadioSure Portable is still a great option for listening to internet radio.

Archibald works like a sequencer, so if you're familiar with those you'll feel at home with this. The emphasis with Archibald is very much on creating realistic drumming, so there's not many drum tracks for techno. It features an interesting "Humanize" tool, which drums your patterns with a bit of "human" inaccuracy. If you have a band and your drummer is unreliable, this might be a good alternative (and probably cheaper than a real drummer too!).

Setting up a basic drum pattern with Archibald is pretty easy, and then you can choose from a bank of drum sounds to get the feel you want. Registered versions have access to a much larger library of sounds and can import them too, but in this demo the choices are fairly limited. To speed up your beat making, Archibald offers a creator, which will build a pattern for you based on a certain style of drumming. You can edit these to make them your own or change parts you don't like.

Archibald is quite a professional package, and not for the casual user. The demo gives you a taste of what's possible, but doesn't let you really explore and play around enough. However, if you like what you see it's not a very expensive package considering how flexible it is.

Archibald is a great drum sequencer, though it isn't very accessible for the novice and it's a shame the demo is so limited.
