The result is the most detailed GPS maps you've ever seen. The good thing is that it doesn't even require you to upgrade to the premium versions of Google Earth to use it. Normally, GPS support is only available on the Plus and Pro editions of Google Earth, and it is limited to Garmin & Magellan devices. GPS and Google Earth fans will genuinely love the way that you the program allows you to look at routes and locations for real instead of plain road maps. The great thing for someone who's terrible with maps, like me, is that you can use buildings and reference points to direct you instead with geepeeyes. Asa result, wrong turns, missing street names or the absence of reliable directions are much less of a problem than they used to be. Even if you don't use it for navigational purposes, it's fun just to watch the maps unveil before you. The only problem you may encounter is that it is prone to bugs due to the fact that it is still in beta testing phase.

A classy little utility that will save you hours getting lost not to mention the money you'd have to spend on Google Earth to support this sort of thing normally.

The interface is split into two - on the left you can compose messages and enter the recipient's number. On the right, you have your inbox where messages are received.

The program assigns you a random number to receive messages. You can give this number to anyone and all messages that they send to it will be received in your Virtual SMS inbox.

WebMail Notifier is very discreet on your browser - just a tiny little envelope indicating the number of new mails. Right-clicking on the icon will bring up your accounts and the number of new mails in each. Clicking on the account names will open them, either in a new window or a new tab.

This and other WebMail Notifier options can be changed in the Options area, accessible either via the icon context menu or Tools > Add-ons from the main Firefox toolbar. There are a few interesting options here, including the facility to add or remove accounts, change the schedule on which WebMail Notifier checks for new mail, as well as customizing the notification options.

WebMail Notifier is fast and functional. It's also very easy to configure and set up, but even so, it has no revolutionary features and isn't very slick looking. It does what it says it will, but nothing more and, for now at least, wouldn't convince me to give up my current method - notification via an instant messaging service.

I'm pleased to say that isn't the case with Yugma which is quite simply the best teleconferencing and screen sharing software I've tried. Yugma makes it extremely easy to conduct video teleconferences long distances and in this free version, there's a generous allowance of up to 20 different users sharing at one time. Even better, it doesn't matter if the participants are based on Windows, Mac or Linux - it works on all platforms. Whether you want to conduct a meeting or simply help someone troubleshoot technical problems on their computer, its ideal.

To start a session on Yugma, you need the host to send you an invite code. The procedure to start a meeting is very simple. In the login panel, you have two options - Start Meeting and Join Meeting. You need to have signed-up for a Yugma account to do both, the page for which can be found in the registration link below. If you're joining a meeting, the host will send you a 9 digit code either via Skype or e-mail which you can use to share the users screen. New participants can be added at any time. If you're using Yugma to troubleshoot problems on someone's computer, a new "Take Control" feature allows you to take over control of their machine.

The stability of Yugma is excellent and only rarely will you experience the odd timeout but usually, within a few seconds, the connection is reestablished. The only downside is that this version of Yugma doesn't support audio but if you need to speak, simply use Skype at the same time as Yugma.

Yugma is an excellent application for anyone that needs to perform free and fast teleconferencing, screen-sharing or troubleshooting.
