With PasteCopy.NET you can conveniently organize everything you copy to the Windows clipboard, sorting all the elements into customizable categories. The program expands the capabilities of the original Clipboard, allowing you to save multiple text snippets at the same time, and even images.

PasteCopy.NET doesn't require installation, so as soon as you download it you're good to go. Just make sure you create at least one category before you start copying things, because otherwise they won't be saved.

The good thing about this app is that you have a virtually never-ending Clipboard that you can organize any way you like according to your needs. I especially liked the possibility to preview each text string or image in the embedded preview window.

Unfortunately, PasteCopy.NET has one major flaw, and that is not copying text strings or images automatically. In other words, you have to manually open the program's window and hit Ctrl+V every time you want to save something in the program.

PasteCopy.NET enlarges the capacity of Windows clipboard and lets you organize anything you copy into customizable categories. Pity it's not a fully automated process.

You can increase your productivity by allowing PhraseExpress to complete the sentences you want to write. How? The program simply keeps a record of the sentences you write, and when it detects something you have already written, it suggests it in tag form. You can then accept it by pressing the Tab button.

Nothing could be easier as the program does the whole job automatically. Sentences like, ‘I look forward to hearing from you soon’ or ‘thank you for your kind email’ or then again, ‘how could you do that? I cannot trust you, as usual’, will be quickly available as soon as you write the first two words. The program also works with abbreviations, which you can set in the manager. I like the fact that it’s fast and that you can accept the suggestions with the Tab key or ignore them simply by continuing writing.

As we still haven’t achieved a very high level of artificial intelligence, even in high-tech laboratories, you can’t expect this application to guess what you would like to say. It is just suitable for standard sentences that are usually used in commercial style letters. Nevertheless, you might be surprised how often, even in personal letters we repeat certain sentences, and that’s where PhraseExpress will speed up your work.

Although PhraseExpress can’t really write for you, the application can suggest sentences if it detects from the first two words something you have already written. Therefore, it can speed up processes in office work and whenever you need to keep style consistent.

One of the things that annoys me most about using Windows is the fact that the clipboard only allows you to make one copy before pasting. I was pretty excited to test M8 Multi Clipboard because it lets you save up to 25 clips on the clipboard for pasting at a later point. If the clip is text, you can see several lines and if it is a graphic, you can see a thumbnail instead which is absolutely brilliant for working out what and what you haven't used. The program works fairly well too, staying hidden in the taskbar until you need it, when you can access the 25 last captures. Simply by rolling over each one, a preview is generated.

You can make the program even quicker to access through the use of shortcut keys, choosing your own key combinations to access particular functions, such as capturing the full screen, a single window, a menu within a window, etc. to capture the entire screen you simply press Prt Scr, to capture the active window press Alt+PrtScr and to capture an individual graphic point to the graphic, right click and select "Copy" from the drop down list.

Although it contains no editing functions, M8 is great for making multiple captures to your clipboard.

TagKeys is a strange mixture between a clipboard manager, a text insertion tool and a keyboard macro generator. It allows you to create and save text snippets, addresses, signatures and other short fragments that you need to type frequently on any application. These elements may include launching applications or moving the mouse, among other functions.

Then, you can launch them either by selecting them right on the program's interface or by using their associated keyboard shortcut (tag key), which enables you to insert anything on your text without having to stop typing.

TagKeys is really useful for people who need to write repetitive texts along the day, but on the downside, it's very hard to use due to an inexplicably small font size. The overall application design doesn't help either.

QClip is a simple clipboard enhancement that allows Windows users to paste text that was clipped earlier. You never have to think about QClip, but when you want to paste something that you clipped a while ago instead of CTRL-V, just press CTRL-ALT-V and QClip will appear with all of your old clips. PasteLister is a utility that captures and saves clipboard data and allows you to paste to any application. The program works by allowing you to press CTRL-V - or a hotkey of your choice - when you want to paste. When you do so, you can select an item and it will paste directly to the intended destination. There are several options available for each category. Select the Properties tab to modify the properties associated with the category.

You can save and retrieve any amount of data copied to the clipboard (or added manually) and the program automatically adds text and/or images copied to the clipboard to specified lists. Leaving the fancy name aside, this small utility makes copying and pasting even easier by putting everything you select with the mouse right into the Clipboard, so that you only have to use ctrl+v to paste it.

The program also displays a balloon tip with the number of copied characters, words and lines. This tip can be disabled, which you probably will because it ends up being a bit annoying. Ah, the clipboard, that treasure chest filled with those precious clippings that you've cut or copied from your documents. The clipboard manager in Word is alright, if not somewhat limited. Global Clipboard brings some more functionalities, like text conversion tools. It shows the number of words, characters and strings in your clipping and images. All the elements you've copied to Global Clipboard are automatically saved so you don't have to worry about losing them. You can also move elements from slot to slot thanks to the back and forward arrows.

Despite these useful features we were disappointed by this application. Even though it's easily accessible via the tray icon, the program interface is all too cluttered. There's no maximize button and the window only resizes according to the number of clippings you add. The transparency tool is inefficient as once you set it higher than 30% the window is barely visible anyways.

Global Clipboard offers some interesting features but the usability of the application could definitely be improved.
