SpeQ 3.3 - Powerful but easy to use mathematical calculator

I'm no mathematical genius but SpeQ is a rare example of a mathematical calculator that's easy enough for even dunces to calculate complex calculations.

SpeQ is an extremely small but powerful mathematical calculator with an intuitive interface, that makes it clear how to perform just about any calculation. It allows you to add, edit and execute calculations in a few seconds and supports all the common functions you require in a calculator.

Although SpeQ is aimed at those studying maths at an advanced level, anyone that's studying the subject will find something of use in it. If you want to take it with you to school or university, you can also run it directly from a USB stick which gets around those annoying download and install restrictions in most educational institutions. SpeQ is particularly useful for engineers or simply those looking for a slightly more powerful version of Windows calculator.

Quick, simple and packed with functions, if I'd had SpeQ at school, I'd probably have worked out the meaning of life.

SpeedCrunch 0.10.1 - Scientific calculator with more up to 50 decimal precision

If you're one of those mad scientists who don't have enough with the Windows calculator, then SpeedCrunch is for you.

This powerful advanced calculator lets you perform many mathematical tasks with an up to 50 decimal precision which I personally find impressive. Also, instead of a tiny rectangular screen like the one you find in real calculators, SpeedCrunch features a huge, blank space where all your operations are conveniently saved, so that you can review your calculations at any time.

SpeedCrunch supports on-the-fly calculations, includes more than 50 built-in math functions and can be easily customized. You can use it with its virtual keyboard or your own physical PC keyboard, though math functions can only be entered from the virtual one. It would have been a great idea to create shortcuts for those functions.

With SpeedCrunch you can easily perform many different maths calculations and functions with a high precision and the possibility to review results at any time.

AllerCalc, previously know as VersaCalc, is an advanced calculator which allows you to perform complex scientific calculations that other calculators can't handle.

The calculator works with a rotating screen that stores your last calculations and results. It supports more than forty functions including algebraic, transcendental, trigonometrical, hyperbolic and financial. Chances are that if you can't solve a mathematical equation with this calculator, then you won't be able to solve it with anything.

AllerCalc also includes different options that allow you to choose the sources, format (general or scientific) and select the number of decimals to visualize. You can even make metric conversions and much much more. A powerful calculator for that need some serious mathematical power.

Math Solver II 1.1 - An excellent scientific calculator with plotting capabilities

I must admit I'm a very math-challenged person. Numbers were my main weakness at school and even nowadays I have problems to check if my change is correct when I'm shopping. But this doesn't mean I can't appreciate a tool like Math Solver.

This amazing program helps you solve all kinds of mathematical problems, from a simple addition to a complicated geometrical function. Not only does it solve the operation, but also draws a graph based on it if possible, and gives extra information about the generated graph. The program also includes an excellent database with constants and functions.

On the downside, I think Math Solver is not really comfortable to use. Solving expressions and representing functions take too many clicks. Also, as each piece of information is offered in a separate window, your desktop can get really messy. Besides, Math Solver keeps a history of previously entered expressions so that you can review them or reuse them at any moment, but unfortunately they're not saved when you quit the program.

Kalkulator 2.50 - Scientific/engineering calculator

The Mother of all Calculators, a Swiss Army knife for scientists and engineers. Perhaps the most capable scientific/engineering calculator for Windows. On one hand, this is a calculator: it evaluates expressions with more than 100 functions (trig/inverse, log/exp, statisical distributions, Euler, conditional, user-defined). Expressions are entered in the customary algebraic notation, and then simply calculated. After computing the value, an expression can be modified or corrected, and recomputed at will.

There ara also unit conversions, physical constants, computer math (binary, octal, hex), and function graphs included. For more advanced users, Kalkulator provides less trivial operations: numerical integration and differentiation, interpolaton (linear or cubic spline), statistics (mean, s.d., histograms, polynomial regression), column operations on stat data, polynomial roots, linear algebra (vector/matrix operations and systems of linear equations).

Hard-to-find features: systems of non-linear and differential (ODE) equations, multi-argument function extremum search and point or histogram fitting which includes an arbitrary function. Most importantly, advanced features don't obstruct the basic ones. You can use as much of Kalkulator's capabilities as you need, without being hampered by program capabilities you do not need. Disk save/restore, Help file and other niceties are also included.

Kalkulator has been evolving on various OS platforms for the last 15 years, being refined and polished through all this time, and its author has more than 25 years of active experience in numerical methods and software development.
