There are a lot of conversion profiles to choose from, from Apple products, to HTC, LG and many more. You can also change conversion settings manually, and save your video to all common video formats.

Wondershare DVD Ripper has a simple editing function too, allowing you to crop the image if you want, and add watermarks or effects. Once you have chosen a conversion profile and made any edits, just press Start, and your DVD will be ripped and converted. It's a very simple process, but there are plenty of other apps that do the job just as well, such as WinX DVD Ripper. Wondershare DVD Ripper is competent, but doesn't stand out from the crowd.

Aplus Total DVD Ripper is a simple program that doesn't have many configuration options apart from the format selection. The formats supported by the app are listed at the bottom of the main window - if you choose one, a window will pop up showing you the technical specifications and giving you the opportunity to modify them.

Under the more standard Option menu, you can set the application to load DVDs automatically and to shut down after conversion. As Aplus Total DVD Ripper doesn't support batch conversions, however, this is of limited use.

Unfortunately, using Aplus Total DVD Ripper was a disappointing experience. The interface is badly translated and using the ripper was ¡uncomfortable. Although it has a good selection of formats available, it didn't make up for the fact that Aplus Total DVD Ripper seems to be a slightly user-unfriendly app.
