The program looks really simple and works in a very simple way as well. Simply run the JAR file (no installation required) and you'll be presented with a fairly basic interface divided into tabs.

Conversions are done in real time as you type your values. Although there's a wide range of measure units covered, you can add your own, but only by editing a text file.

The program is coded in Java works in a very simple way: you only need to select the source and target units and see the result in real time. There's also the possibility to add results to a text list that you can later on export to a file.

Numerical Chameleon includes other original tools, such as a phonetic alphabet converter (which translates any word into the "alfa-bravo-charlie" alphabet and other similar codes) and a color picker. There are many things I like about this little tool: first, you don't need to install it; second, the measurement units are conveniently classified by areas and it makes the program really easy to use. Finally, conversion is done on the fly, without having to press any key or click on any button. In fact, there are only two buttons: one to launch Windows calculator and another one to copy conversions directly to the Clipboard.

The only thing I found to be a bit annoying is the fact that Unit Converter Expert doesn't show on the taskbar, so if you lose track of it you'll have to use the Alt-Tab shortcut. Another option is using the program's "Always on top" option.
