Stickman opens with a selection of options, including tutorials, videos and the option to open existing programs. We'd recommend watching some tutorials and classes first - Stickman's a great program, but you'll need to put some effort in before you feel comfortable with the program.

In general, animation programs are hard to get a handle on, and Stickman's no exception. It offers huge possibilities, but becomes a little complex as a result. You'll be able to create fun animations, that's for sure, but not without putting some work in. Digicel Flipbook enables you to create animated movies using three different methods (2D, 3D and stop-motion). Although it includes a very complete user manual, it does require some talent and certain knowledge about drawing and animation. Plus, the author recommends using a graphic tablet for better results.

The program features all the tools you need to create your movie, including support for scanners and webcams. However, we found the drawing tools to be too simple. Once your creation is finished, you can export it ad AVI or GIF, or even save the frames as independent files.
