With Sharepod you can easily copy music from the computer to your iPod and viceversa. The program works like a charm: simply plug the iPod in, launch Sharepod and you’re good to go. It doesn’t even require installation! Besides adding or removing music, you can also copy videos from your iPod to the PC, back up photos, and edit tags. Sharepod also imports and exports album art, ratings and playlists.

The interface in Sharepod features a simple, clean design that makes the program a pleasure to use. It supports drag-and-drop, includes a search tool and also has a built-in player to listen to the music on your iPod.

On the downside, and though the developer claims Sharepod works with iPhone and iPod Touch, we couldn’t use all of the program’s features when testing with an iPhone 4.

The moment you discover that you have accidentally deleted the photos of your brother's wedding, or reformatted the memory card containing your cousin's party is heartbreaking. When that happens, there's relatively little you can do to save them without resorting to a photo recovery program like Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery.

First, the good news. Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery provides a simple interface for rescuing your images. You have three options - Data Recovery, Resume Recovery or Create Image. The application recovers your images by scanning your hard drive. If you know a little about where the images might be located, or what type of file they are, you can filter the search by hard drive sector or camera/image type. If you know this information, use it - if you don't, the scan can take a very long time.

Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery also allows you to save the results of the scan for later use, or create an image of part of your hard drive. This will be a help if bits of the drive are corrupt, and may allow you to recover images at a later stage. The program also provides decent offline help, and despite not having many configuration options, is very easy to use. Now for the bad news: Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery doesn't actually allow you to repair/recover your files in trial mode.

Although this is disappointing, Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery gives every indication that the full version would perform perfectly. Add this to the fact that the program recovers much more than 'just' photos, and it begins to look like a good option for a specific task.

Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery is an efficient program - it's just a shame about the trial limitations.

We were also well impressed with the export function. The application provides a list of many mobile manufacturers and models to allow you to export to the format which most corresponds to your device.

Overall, the structure of the interface feels great, especially the timeline view, which really makes it easy to edit your media. We did feel however that some elements, like the media selection part at the top, felt a little bit crowded. It's a shame that you can't resize the interface window. Similarly, the installation process was a bit lengthy.

On the whole though, MAGIX Ringtone Maker is a great application to create and add media to your mobile device, providing a very accessible interface and loads of advanced editing tools.
