Depending on the ShoZu services you use, the ShoZu phone application:

Displays videos and photos on your phone so you can send them to Share-It destinations

Displays ZuCasts so you can enjoy downloaded photos, videos and sounds files

Monitors your phone address book for changes

Transfers photos, videos, contacts and other data to and from your phone

ShoZu gives you the following options:

Saving to Flickr

Once activated, each time you take a new photo, ShoZu will give you the option of uploading to Flickr (You may turn this off if you wish). If you click OK, the photo will be uploaded quietly in the background, leaving you free to do other things.

Descriptions and Tagging

You can also save items to Flickr later, from within the ShoZu application. This allows you to take your time to choose which images to upload or add a description or tags to each image.
eWallet (Professional Edition) 6.1.3

Highly customisable personal data store

The virtual wallet market is popular with software developers. Nearly all PDA users make use of some sort of virtual wallet program to store their credit card numbers, email passwords or other personal data. eWallet, already regarded by most as the leader in its field has improved on its already excellent reputation with version 4, a feature packed virtual wallet application which is near perfect.

Whatever information you want to keep safe, eWallet is designed to help you entering and retrieving your data with the least hassle possible. Like most virtual wallet programs, it includes a range of categories to choose from as well as a ‘custom’ category option. However, because eWallet’s range of categories is so expansive (check out the ‘internet settings’ option with space for IP addresses, default gateways and more), you may find that you never even need to create a custom category.

When you create a new card (a card can represent an actual credit card or any other record), you’re immediately given a range of customisation options which exceed the offerings of other programs. Change the colour of your card, add a custom .ico icon file, or even a sound effect to make each entry unique and easily recognisable. Cards can be created in the main set of your data store or in unlimited levels of subcategories, offering a level of organisation which is simply unavailable in other applications.

eWallet’s level of security is also impressive. With frequent requests for your passcode, you can be sure that no one can simply pick up your PDA and gain access to your cards. eWallet offers 256-bit encryption where some of its competitors still don’t encrypt your data at all. It also offers you the option to set password hints on individual items, a handy and popular data-protection technique often employed on websites. With top level stability, eWallet can be relied on to stand up to the job, even if you use your virtual wallet application frequently.

As you may be able to tell, we were pretty happy with this version of eWallet! It has so few flaws that the biggest issue we had was with the non-alphabetic listing of icons in the card-editing screen – hardly a critical issue. Synchronisation via SyncPro is actually far better than using ActiveSync, given that it doesn’t need to upload/download the entire database each time it syncs: SyncPro is capable of only updating the latest changes you’ve made, saving you precious time.

eWallet performs its core role with simplicity and ease of use and then offers you a higher level of customisation than any of its competitors. It’s not only the best in its category but one of the few absolute ‘must have’ programs for Palm, Pocket PC and Windows Smartphones. With practically no negative points, it just can’t get a higher recommendation!

Download eWallet (Professional Edition) 6.1.3 in Softonic

If you find yourself getting lost on a regular basis, or if you're a keen traveller then this Smartphone download is the one for you. Besides offering digital urban road maps and satellite views, Google Maps for Windows Mobile furnishes you with a bevy of other cool features.

Built on the popular online app, this program includes an address search with location determination and a built-in route planner. The zoom function is arguably easier to handle than on a PC though clever use of the joystick or soft keys. If you have GPS functionality on your phone, the Google Maps is even better because it can show you your current position on the screen.

The search is as straightforward as ever and also allows you to look for points of interest such as cinemas, shops or restaurants, although the frequency of these will vary depending on where in the World you're looking at. You can even program your own favourites, so that you never need to forget where that nice bar you visited was.

This may be of good use if you want to get your point over, and simply don't want to waste time talking to your contact. VR+ has simple playback features that can be executed without needing to dig into the menu.

The program records in MP3, which should give you good enough quality, however it will also depend on your device and the amount of noise in your surroundings. Your voicemail can be sent as a message or as a URL to your contacts.

We were impressed with all the little helpful details in the application. Pop up tips appear every now and then, and you can even choose the amount of memory you allocate to your recordings. These can be organized in categories or by date.

One of the problems of using your mobile phone for day-to-day tasks has always been that the screen size is very small, and the fact is, that will always remain the case. However, there are ways that you can access your mobile on the big screen by hooking it up to your PC.

MyPhoneExplorer provides you with a complete suite for controlling and managing your cellphone from your home computer. Connection is established very quickly, and the package detects the device either via USB cable, Bluetooth or Infrared.

Once you've synched, you can pretty much access everything on your PC. Perhaps one of the main uses for it is to co-ordinate your contacts. This is made very simple through MyPhoneExplorer and you simply need to click the 'Phone' or 'SIM' option under the 'Contacts' tab. Likewsie, the app gives you direct sync to Outlook, Outlook Express, Lotus Notes and Thunderbird.

The interface is very clearly laid out and displays all the information from you phone in a format that's much easier to read than on the device itself. For instance, you can access and manage your organizer, alarms, messages and phone settings, viewing everything in large format. What's more, because it has its own caching system, the transfer of files from phone to PC, and vice versa, it very quick indeed.

In terms of its presentation and performance MyPhoneExplorer can't be faulted. In fact, the only niggily thing about the program for me is the fact that it installs an eBay toolbar in your browser by default (it's easy to skip this step though).

If you use a Sony Ericsson phone and need to sync it with your PC, MyPhoneExplorer presents probably the best platform for doing so.

Download MyPhoneExplorer 1.7.0 in Softonic

Having recently lost my USB stick and not owning a memory card reader makes this a bit tricky though. Thankfully, Card Export II addresses this issue, allowing you to copy data from your PC or Mac to the flash card or internal memory on your Windows Mobile Smartphone.

The application is ever-so easy to use: simply rig your phone up to your computer via the USB cable and a few seconds later the memory cards installed in your handset will show up as removable media in Windows Explorer. You can then simply transfer these onto your handset using your phone to slide them across.

If used properly, the program can save you the money because you don't need to buy additional mobile memory. It's ease of use means that if you need to take data around with you, then you need to install Card Export II.

Download Card Export II for Smartphone 3.14 in Softonic

Agendus for Windows Mobile Smartphone Standard Edition 2.21

As I grow older, I realise this is becoming less and less likely to happen. However, I've just stumbled across a mobile app that will give me almost the next best thing.

Agendus is an excllent personal information manager designed to make you more you a more productive human being through your Windows Mobile Smartphone. The application combines the different standard applications such as address book, notepad, tasks and email, and supports data synchronization with Microsoft Outlook.

It's incredible to be able to manage and access so much information from one place, and it surprises me that Microsoft couldn't have come up with its own Agendus when it developed the Windows Mobile OS. The program centralises a huge range of tasks, including managing contacts, appointments, tasks, notes, SMS and emails.

There's a whole bunch of stuff you can do with this information using Agendus, such as displaying data in daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly views, grouping, editing and deleting. A powerful built-in full-text search ensures that whatever you need is always close at hand. Everything is very simple to synchronise too, using ActiveSync.

Thanks to an intuitive centralised interface and some slick integration with Outlook, this really is a product you can't afford to be without if you have a busy personal or professional life.

Download Agendus for Windows Mobile Smartphone Standard Edition 2.21 in Softonic

With so much of our work and home activities based around our PC, it often feels that you're chained to the desk 24/7. Sometimes even while you're out and about you're probably itching to get home and check your emails or finish that Word document. Thanks to Remote Desktop for Mobiles you don't have to worry because the program lets you access your Windows desktop from wherever you are.

Basically, RDM + Remote Desktop can activate a new channel of communication between the two systems. In this way, you can interact with the Windows desktop, from your Blackberry device, starting or stopping services, viewing system resources, restarting or shutting down the machine remotely, among other possibilities.

To enable the connection, the program uses a BES meeting, BIS, TCP / IP or http. It supports password access, includes a system of encryption to protect transfers and has a number of options for rapid mapping functions on the keys of your device.

This software doesn't give you access to all the apps on your computer but ultimately, if you want to control the basic functions of your PC from your Blackberry, RDM + Remote Desktop is a sound choice.

Download RDM+ Remote Desktop 3.7.5 in Softonic

Total Recall 3.0.1

Do you ever find yourself constantly repeating things to your friends only for them to turn around and say "yeah, but you haven't told me that before"? Likewise you may forget the time and date of arrangements you made over the phone. With Total Recall these issues are a thing of the past.

The application allows you to record mobile phone calls with the push of a button, saving them as audio files in either WAV or AMR format. No matter if it's an incoming or outgoing call Total recall springs into action straight away, capturing the sound in the background. In fact, this latest version of the software removes the beep that you'd get in previous releases, meaning that Total Recall is totally transparent.

There are quite a few options and settings to twiddle with, including a facility for auto-recording conversations as soon as you start talking, plus the ability to link saved audio files to contacts in your address book. Once you've finished recording, you can send the file to your pal (or to others, for that matter) using IR, email, MMS or Bluetooth.

It's a decent system and the sound quality is OK, although it only supports WAV and AMR output. Ultimately though, the big argument against Total Recall is a moral one. If you inform the other person that you're recording them then it's fine. If you don't, then you're getting into some murky ground legally, and if your friends/customers/spouse finds out what you've been doing you may see your popularity start to wane.

If you want to record mobile phone conversations, Total Recall makes for a reliable solution. Just remember to ask the permission of the other caller first!

Download Total Recall 3.0.1 in Softonic
