Tudumo is an excellent tool to organize all sorts of tasks, from business meetings in your company to final papers for your university courses. It's similar to other task agendas, in the sense that it displays the task list on the main interface and uses icons to distinguish them. However, it has some unique features that make it a great app to optimize time management and improve productivity.

Among these special features, you'll find the possibility to organize tasks by tags instead of typical categories such as "Personal", "Work" or "Urgent". With tags, you can create as many categories as you want and then search through your pending tasks much more easily.

Notes (referred as "Actions" in Tudumo) can have a brief description, plus starting and ending dates. The program also enables you to divide the list with headings to make it clearer. It's a bit tricky to learn, but fortunately there are some sample notes that work as a tutorial on how to create and edit notes. Tudumo can also print your task list on paper and supports some basic customization.

If you're constantly looking for new ways to organise your life, then you might find that Agenda MSD Personal fills a gap that other programs have failed to.

Photoshop is the World’s leader in digital imaging software. It has been the industry standard design application for years, and with each new iteration it pulls further ahead of its competitors thanks to its huge user base and professional experience.

When digital photography was in its infancy and image editing wasn’t high on many agendas, Photoshop didn’t stand out much from the alternatives such as Paint Shop Pro. Having nailed the interface in previous versions, CS3 keeps to the same winning formula, meaning that anyone who has used Photoshop before will immediately feel comfortable. Changes come in the form of Adobe Bridge, a replacement for the file browser, more photography filters and the star of the show, the “Vanishing Point”. This filter lets you edit, clone, and retouch images while keeping the perspective; great!

Without going in to too much detail, Photoshop is a program for professionals and as such has a steep learning curve. Anyone who is willing to devote the required time to learn the basics will definitely be rewarded with a much higher degree of control over their images and will also find it easy to tap in to all the great resources throughout the web, be it in the form of tutorials or plug-ins, that will extend the functionality further. The flexibility of the program lets you customize the interface, the brushes, the fill patterns, tool presets, filters, and practically anything else you may find within the software.

With all the power that you get, it’s testament to the Photoshop team that it runs so smoothly on any modern PC, although if you start getting heavy with layers or high resolutions, there will be a noticeable hit to your system’s resources. As you become more accustomed to the operation of the program, you will pick up more efficient habits such as the multitude of keyboard shortcuts. Each one is customizable, and there are key combos for every operation to save you from time spent trawling through menus and toolbars.

Adobe’s Photoshop CS3 is another giant leap forward for digital imaging software and it remains a long way ahead of the chasing pack. It may overwhelm beginners with the sheer quantity of tools and options, but ultimately it will reward anyone that doesn’t mind putting in the ground work to learn the basics. Highly recommended for everyone with time, money and an interest in imaging, particularly photographers and designers.

Organising contacts is an increasingly difficult task no matter who you are - if you add together all of the contacts on your mobile, e-mail and other external devices, it would probably be enough to go round the moon twice - or something like that.

Open Contacts Portable is portable version of Open Contacts which is a brave attempt at trying to tie all these contacts together. Of course, if you're on the move a lot and making contacts all the time, then this version is much more suitable because it fits neatly on a Pendrive. The first thing that strikes with Open Contacts is that it's not exactly the best looking program you've ever seen. It's more like an Excel spreadsheet with a few tasteless looking pink fields here and there. However, once you get working with it, you realise that it's not just an ugly face. The application has presets for various types of contact namely People and Companies. Both follow the same principle and the default layout gives you four fields within each one which you can move about. Each field expands into a whole page which allows you to enter more details although the portable version is more limited than the original which is no bad thing. Few people will want or need to go into so much detail about their contacts as the original allows and so I'd rather use this version anyway. Although it's simpler to use as a result, the program could still have done with a few wizards to take you through the whole process a few times to begin with although the help file is extensive.

Open Contacts does help link and divide your contacts but it could do with a much better looking interface although the simpler data fields in this portable version are actually an improvement on the original.

ReminderCube is a simple personal agenda that includes the most common productivity tools for your daily work at the office: a calendar, a task list, a reminder app, a program launcher and even a mini-reader for your favorite RSS feeds.

All these tools are displayed in separate windows which you can show or hide at will. In this way you can leave opened only those that you really use. However, it seems that the program doesn't keep this configuration and shows all of them again when you restart it.

Regarding appearance, the interface looks a bit clunky despite the author's efforts to make it attractive by using skins, themes and gradients.

The data on my mobile phone is in a right state and I can never be bothered to sort through everything in order to manage it more effectively. Using Mobile Master finally brought some order to my cellphone though, thanks to a bevy of handy tools for synchronising my contacts, agenda, calendar and messages between my PC and my phone.

What I liked about the program is that it comes with a number of filters that help you to prevent information overload on your mobile and to concentrate solely on the data you really need to manage. Its functional interface lets you see incoming and missed call lists, access and publish calendar data, as well as to manage your text messages, to write up notes and to navigate your phone's folders.

Keeping track of friends and family names and addresses is always tricky and I've never come across an app that really integrates well with my online activities. As far as offline apps fgo however, LS Addressbook does a good job of organizing your contacts in a compact and simple agenda. It has fields for the name, telephone number, address, e-mail and notes, etc.

There are many more options than you'll find in an agenda of a modern mobile phone, but the interesting thing is the export options. It supports TXT formats and XLS so you can export the data for simple backups at anytime or for printing. You can also import data from MS Access if you use it for contacts.

Simple and comprehensive with some useful export options, this is a solid contacts organiser.

Trog Bar is a convenient Windows sidebar that helps schedule your daily tasks. It automatically recommends and prioritizes tasks and emails so that you don't have to. You can change your schedule at any time or if you think of an idea or task, capture it immediately in the always-available scratch pad.

Meetings are also catered for. Trog has an easy to use one click agenda at your fingertips and a search as you type tool for scanning it. You can also plan projects and budget your time with drag and drop tasks in a pop out calendar. Trog continually keeps appointments connected to their tasks for easy note taking and project management. If you use Outlook a lot, then you'll also be pleased to know that Trog automatically integrates task with it so there's no need for importing, exporting or synchronizing.

At the end of the day, Trog helps you concentrate on your work rather than your upcoming tasks although it tries to pack a bit too much into an application so small for my liking.

OrganizeME is essentially a program that aims to be all things to all people, allowing you to create a database of contacts where you can store all manner of information about your friends and family, a calendar for programming alarms and reminders and a tool for opening files automatically.

Although not particularly advanced, the built-in email client is useful for sending out information from within the application. It's particualrly great for jotting down your thoughts in the text editor then sharing them with others without having to wade through multiple programs. Handily, OrganizeME places itself in the System Tray, meaning it's always on hand whenever you have an important note to take down or if you quickly want to send an email. What's more, the easy-to-configure alarm is great for reminding you of tasks or appointments throught the day.

Runaway: a road adventure, released in Europe in 2003, injected adventure games with new life by becoming one the biggest hits of the year. If you’ve already got a heavy schedule in college, what with your social life, part time job and other extra activities, you can insert that into Student Life too. It will all appear on the appropriate date in the in-built calendar.

Honestly, if your Student Life is as exciting as this program’s interface, you’re in for four dull years. The windows are often cluttered and adding simple information like your degree is hindered by the positioning of buttons and entries. There are multiple “add” buttons and you’re puzzled as to which one actually adds your new entry. I’ve also had the program crash on me quite a few times when adding a new task.

Student Life is not a powerful, full-scale personal organizer. It does the job, but nothing more. If you’re looking for something more professional go for WinOrganizer or Essential PIM.
