The game is set in a wonderfully colorful cartoon world with great sound effects and a cracking hillbilly-style soundtrack. If you've ever dreamed of moving to the country and living the simple life, then Farm Frenzy 2 might give you a taste of what you can expect.

Farm Frenzy 2 starts with you rearing a few chickens to produce some eggs and the levels progress to the point where you own bakeries, factories and keep cows, pigs and other animals. Each extra level adds one more thing to think about than the last, whether it's shipping products into town, flying resources in by plane, or caging and selling the pandas (?!) that prey on your animals. After a few levels the action in Farm Frenzy 2 can get pretty frantic.

Luckily, the controls in Farm Frenzy 2 are simple and largely require nothing more than pointing and clicking on a part of the screen you want to apply an action to (i.e. clicking the well to fill it up, clicking an egg to collect it, etc.)

After a while, Farm Frenzy 2 starts to get a little too difficult to keep up with and after playing a few levels your head gets a bit scrambled from all the fast-paced action, the infectious looping soundtrack and the sheer repetitive nature of the game.

Farm Frenzy 2 is very well presented and great fun to play, although enjoyment quickly turns to frustration as the levels get more hectic.

The game takes place in Hell where you play Ash, the Prince of Hell. While taking a relaxing bath, a picture is taken and uploaded to the Hell-ternet and Ash decides to find the demons who took the picture. Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit features impressive visuals and an old school gameplay style that quickly becomes addictive.

Gameplay

The best way to play Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is with a PC controller. The controls require careful aiming and platforming skill that cannot be accomplished easily with a mouse and keyboard. In Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit you have to explore each level and defeat the various monsters that might have seen your picture.

With your saw jetpack, you maneuver everywhere, drilling through rocks and dismembering monsters every single moment. Using weapons like machine guns and rocket launchers, you kill everything in your path. You have to have friends in your pursuit for vengeance. Weapons can be upgraded with loot that is found in each level and at the end of each level you have to kill a boss monster.

Even though Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit can get repetitive, the game has a great variety of different levels and monsters. You have to use more than just your guns to kill them like using the environment or your jetpack to saw them into pieces.

Each mini-boss encounter ends with a quick mini-game that finishes the monsters off. After you defeat them you can send them to a camp where they are tasked to mine for money, research new weapons, or look for special items that can be used in Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit.

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit's gameplay is a platformer at its core, but the insane style of the game always keeps it interesting.

Graphics

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit uses a slick cartoon style in all parts of the game. It is almost too bright to play in long periods because of how much is happening on screen at all times. The foreground is where you keep your attention, but the background also has smaller animations keeping a lot of action on screen.

All the monsters and animations in Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit are impressive. The game does not suffer lag or dropped frames even when there is too much going on screen. It is actually hard to focus on one thing because of the speed that the game plays at. Even the mini-games pop up so quickly it is difficult to figure them out immediately.

The variety of levels adds to the excellence in the art direction of the game and you will never get bored, but your eyes may start hurting.

Sound

The game also has a lot of audio. While there is not any voice acting, there are a lot of character sounds, mainly grunting or other strange noises. It adds to the atmosphere of the game. The shining part of the game is the soundtrack which is fast paced and almost aggressive to keep your mind on completing levels quickly.

Each level in Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit has a slightly different tone, but each moment has a core theme that follows throughout the game.

Overall

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit is a great 2D platformer that brings the old gameplay style with a new visual design. It has an insane presentation of color, action, sound, and gameplay. You can get frustrated with some of the boss encounters, but once you find the perfect strategy it becomes a lot easier.

Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit was a surprise. The tongue-in-cheek style is great and you just have a lot of fun playing.

Stickman opens with a selection of options, including tutorials, videos and the option to open existing programs. We'd recommend watching some tutorials and classes first - Stickman's a great program, but you'll need to put some effort in before you feel comfortable with the program.

Getting help

In general, animation programs are hard to get a handle on, and Stickman's no exception. It offers huge possibilities, but becomes a little complex as a result. Visually, Lilly Looking Through is beautiful. The backgrounds are static images that are painted and full of detail. Lilly’s character model does stick out from the environments, but that keeps her in the foreground of all the action. Playing Lilly Looking Through is like watching an animated film.

To be honest, we were a little skeptical when we saw Baby Computer Piano, but with at bit of testing, we actually began to see that it might be pretty useful. Baby Computer Piano is easily enabled and disabled with Ctrl then Delete. When enabled, you'll be able to surf as normal with the mouse, while the keyboard is transformed into a relatively realistic sounding piano.

This means that as you surf, your child will be able to sit on your lap, keeping him or herself busy by playing the piano - but hitting random keys won't suddenly log you out of your browser, or send your page to print!

Baby Computer Piano isn't the most advanced program, but it does work well. It's easy to use, has a hotkey for every function and even has a selection of tunes that can be played automatically, either for your baby to listen to, or try to imitate.

The only problem is that Baby Computer Piano is automatically translated into your system language, and you can't turn it back. If you use more than just English, this could present a problem, especially since the translations aren't that hot.

The first thing anyone who's played these games before will notice is that Age Of Empires Online looks dramatically different. They art style is straight out of a Disney cartoon - it is extremely well done, and beautifully animated, but means the game loses its serious tone. The core gameplay is unchanged, though there are more repetitive tasks that mirror the 'grinding' often found in online gaming.

Basic gameplay in Age Of Empires Online is about collecting resources and managing them to build towns that can support armies you will use to expand your influence. While the game is free to play, there are many limitations to your growth if you do not pay for some premium features. While the core gameplay is still fun, Age Of Empires Online doesn't feel like an MMO; the social and multiplayer features aren't perfectly integrated.

Creating animated cartoons sounds a bit daunting, but if you start by creating doodle stick animations with Stykz, it's a different story.

Stykz is a dead easy animation tool with which you can create basic animated sequences with stick figures and other geometrical shapes. You can't use your own drawings or add a background, but on the upside Stykz offers you complete control over each single frame, and a dozen points in each figure to create movement.

Each new frame you insert in the animation sequence shows an outline of the previous position so that you can create the new movement with higher accuracy. The program also includes a built-in player to preview the final animation.

Stykz lets you export your animation to several different formats (animated GIF and QuickTime movie among others) but has one main drawback: the Undo tool doesn't work. The author has promised that it'll be fixed in future releases though. Meanwhile, you can save at different stages along your work and revert the animation at a previously saved point as a workaround.

With Stykz you can learn and practice the basics of animations by creating basic animated sequences with simple stick figures.

Telltale Games are perhaps the current masters of the point and click adventure, but with Back To The Future The Game they step into dangerous territory, and risk upsetting legions of franchise fans. It's a relief then, that any fan of the movies will enjoy this rebooting of Back To The Future!

Whereas some adventures suffer from slow pacing and can be dull for some gamers, Back To The Future The Game always keeps things interesting thanks to it's excellent writing. the graphics are cartoon style, and characters are well animated, with recognizable moves from the original actors.

To survive this time you'll need to balance building and finding food with spreading faith, but Virtual Virtual Villagers 5 is still the same casual game. you start with a group of villagers, and must keep them motivated, train them and much more. It can seem strange at first, but the in game tutorial is very good and if you follow the instructions you'll soon get the hang of it.

Villagers can be picked up and dropped on a part of the environment you want them to interact with. This could mean building a shack, dismantling a heathen totem or even trying to convert a local! The pacing of Virtual Villagers 5 makes it ideal for casual gameplay, but there is much less personalization involved than in The Sims, for example.

The gameplay is also pretty linear - there are lots of things you have to do if you want to progress, so there's not much freedom. Nevertheless, Virtual Villagers 5 is a gently compelling game if you give it a chance.

The biggest criticism of the game has to be the graphics. While the cartoon style is OK, there has been no improvement over the last game and the interface is starting to look tired. The Villagers could be better animated too, as Virtual Villagers 5 looks incredibly basic for 2011.

For fans of the series, Virtual Villagers 5 is more of the same, so if that's what you want you will enjoy it. Overall it's a shame this fifth installment doesn't really include any major improvements or gameplay innovations.
