Smart Educational Games consists of a series of four mini games that test different aspects of your mind. Although the main interface is a little bland, the inclusion of a searchable index means that it's pretty easy to find your way around this guide.

I'm fed up with having to carry so much with me every time I visit a city, so I've started using mobile travel guides rather than lugging books and maps around all the time.

This Palm-based guide to Paris is based on the popular Dorling Kindersley book on the city of love. After installing both the travel application and the Paris pack you'll be presented with a series of icons representing different sections of the guide, such as Highlights, Around Town, Metro guide, and Street Index.

Although the icon-based navigation isn't quite as intuitive as the more traditional one-screen menu-style interface, one tap on any of the images will take you to that particular section. Once you start using the guide you'll be bowled over by how much data and useful information is in here, from quirky facts about the Louvre to details of some of the best hidden cafes in the streets of the French capital.

What I particularly like about the DK Eyewitness Top 10 Travel Guide & Map series is the inclusion of a huge database of top ten lists for the city, and the Paris version is no different. So, if you want to find out the ten best Da Vinci paintings to see, or are wondering what are the top walks to do, then look no further.

Another thing worth mentioning is the street and metro maps included in the guide, which are first rate, as they allow you to search for the quickest route between two places. Be sure to check the prices for the trains though, because those in the guide could be out of date.

If you want to discover Paris without having to carry a lot with you, this represents the perfect way.

I don't know about you but when I was at school, which wasn't so long ago, I had terrible troubles with fractions - and maths in general. I did alright in the end, but I could have done with some help.

BlueMoon let's you keep track of when something occurred last and when it's due again. Unlike a repeating event on a calendar, BlueMoon events "float" - they are relative to when they last occurred.
