If you've ever played Battlestations Midway, then you'll recognize much of the gameplay in Battlestations: Pacific but with the added bonus that the latter has more features and depth.

The game is firmly rooted in history requiring you to choose from leading the U.S. armed forces in the Battle of Midway to Okinawa, or taking command of the Japanese forces to destroy Pearl Harbor and expand the Japanese empire.

Battlestations: Pacific requires you to manage several war vehicles such as combat aircraft, ships and even submarines. Whichever you choose to command requires specific skills and strategy and the graphics throughout are incredibly realistic. However, there's no getting away from the fact that Battlestations: Pacific doesn't offer anything radically different from other games of its genre but at least it does it well.

If you like strategy and action with a bit of history thrown in, then Battlestations: Pacific is for you.

Whether its momentous battles from D-Day to Stalingrad, this Call of Duty Demo sees you in incredibly real terrain, fighting to the death. You choose to fight as American and British paratroopers or even a young Russian soldier conscripted into the Soviet Army.

You may find yourself cut off in a village in Normandy, battling to re-take Red Square, boarding and sinking a German battleship or rescuing Allied officers from a German stronghold. The Call of Duty Demo is all about teamwork as you battle to survive 24 different missions on four interconnected campaigns. To spice things up, you can even go online for Axis versus Allies multiplayer mode.

If you're good enough, Call of Duty sees you move through the ranks, taking on more dangerous missions such as sniper missions and ambushes until you are promoted to tank commander. For those with a taste for warfare and history, it's an utterly addictive combination.
