Yellow Line Parking 1.0.1

Yellow Line Parking is an iOS app that aims to help you park in the urban jungle of London. It's a spectacularly impressive attempt at a very complex subject, and we reckon it's going to go down a storm.

Packed with clever features

Obviously, Yellow Line Parking's main aim is to help you find a parking space. In a city beset by parking restrictions, congestion zones and a whole lot of people, a little help is virtually essential.

To achieve this, Yellow Line Parking offers a number of different options. It's integrated with Google Maps and uses your phone's geolocation features, so it knows exactly where you're looking.

Once it has identified your location, it lets you know the status of the kerb around you, informing you of restrictions, road markings, time limits and more. You can also search a theoretical time and location in the future, so you can plan ahead.

Yellow Line Parking has more nice features once you've parked your car. You can mark it on the map and then set an alarm, so your phone can warn you when your time is up or your meter is running out. It will also provide a variety of routes to get back to your car, so when it's time to go, you won't waste time looking on the wrong road.

This app is also packed with other features designed to make London parking a little less terrifying. Thre are parking tips, golden rules, explanation of parking laws, and a borough-by-borough rundown of parking regulations. These (and the options) aren't yet complete, but there is plenty of information in there as things stand, and when it's finished, it's going to be a humdinger.

You'll soon get the hang of it

Yellow Line Parking looks a bit chaotic when you open it first, but it won't take long to get a hang of all the icons and buttons. Bear in mind that as well as the map, clicking on the icon in the upper left corner will take you to the Alarm, Borough Info, Golden Rules and more.

If we're being strict, we found Yellow Line Parking's controls to be a little imprecise. You sometimes have to press or swipe several times to elict a reaction. We also noticed that upon exiting a menu, the app threw us back to our current location, which was not where we were looking for spaces. On the move, this won't be a problem, but it you're trying to plan ahead, it could get irritating.

Decent quality that could be improved

This app is pretty good, and everything works more or less how it should. As we mentioned above, however, we thought some areas of the app were a little shoddy, with menus that looked odd-sized and controls that didn't respond quickly. We're confident that these are teething problems though, and are pretty sure that future versions will be much smoother.

An awesome app that could get even better

Yellow Line Parking is the kind of app that doesn't come around very often. It's useful, well-planned, packed with features and easy to use. Even if you only occasionally drive in London, you should install Yellow Line Parking, and if you drive frequently, well, frankly we're impressed that you've survived this long without it!

Download Yellow Line Parking 1.0.1 in Softonic

Cinemagram 2.1

If you have been a Vine user, Cinemagram is another good alternative. Unlike Vine on iOS, the app allows you to take four second videos, instead of six, that can be uploaded to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr.

Cinemagram has editing options like effects, looping, and variable speeds giving users more control over the final animated gif that you can share online.

While it has a shorter recording time, Cinemagrams extra features make it a great app to use.

Record an original gif

Using Cinemagram is straight forward. When you open the app, you are shown the feed of your friends who are using the app. If you want to record, the option always exists bottom center of the screen titled "Capture."

Recording is as simple as holding the screen or the tab at the bottom. Cinemagram only records as long as you hold the screen so you can add as many scenes as you can during those four seconds.

After recording you can choose different editing options.

Cinemagram also allows for different filters to be applied to the gif overall, but they do not add much in terms of customization and sometimes distorts the clip if recorded at a low resolution. You can also adjust the speed of the clip.

The last option is to mask areas. By swiping the screen you are able to designate specific areas to animate. So if you only want a specific object to animate, you add the mask and only that area will play.

Simple and complicated

Overall, Cinemagram is a simple and easy to use app. The interface is easy to understand. Recording video and adding effects to the gif takes little effort.

The problem with the app is that video quality is dependent on the device you are using to record. Low resolutions distort the recorded video and high resolution video has a tendency to display shaking hands if you are not careful.

It is built for casual users who want to record interesting things to share, but advanced users will find more ways to create creative "Cines" and share them.

Cinemagram is not confusing, but users may become frustrated with the results of their work and have to restart.

Made for social sharers

Cinemagram is like Vine and Instagram. It is designed around easy use and to allow people to share not only on Cinemagram, but Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr.

Also be aware that Cinemagram is a large download. It makes sense because of all the effects and memory it needs to make edits, but it is much larger than expected. The temporary memory required can balloon the storage needed very quickly.

A good alternative to Vine

Cinemagram is the best option for a similar experience when taking quick video to share. It may only allow four seconds of recording, but it does have a good selection of interesting editing options.

With sharing to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr, you can still share your gifs to friends on various social networks. It is obvious that Cinemagram has a lot of potential and presents a challenge to Vine to keep inovating.

Download Cinemagram 2.1 in Softonic

Carmageddon is a racing game that adds a destructive element to all the races.

The point of Carmageddon is to win. This is accomplished by completing laps, destroying your opponents, or killing all the pedestrians in a level. Adding other features like a replay editor, achievements, and iCloud support makes the design of the game even better.

Fun at the beginning

Actual gameplay lacks a lot of polish. The driving controls are unresponsive, and the actual driving is very imprecise. To make things more difficult, the lack of an in-game map makes finding opponents difficult.

You cannot really win by completing laps, and Carmageddon focuses on carnage. Playing Carmageddon is fun at first, and the many upgrades available make things interesting, but each level can take so long to complete that interest can start waning.

An average racing experience

Carmageddon sounds like it should be a fun game, but it is actually very limited. There are multiple ways to win, but you have to spend a lot of time in the game to really progress a little.

The in-app purchases can unlock more cars and races, but it tries too hard to remind you that the game is supposed to be nostalgic to forgive problems in the gameplay.

A reminder of the past that needed to be updated

While the graphics may represent the original game, the visuals look old. That adds to the frustration because the levels are kind of bland and even with the various environments, they are all basically the same.

A classic in more ways than one

Carmageddon spends so much time trying to say that it's an original and classic game, but the port of the game is missing a lot of polish and proper updating to properly

Download Carmageddon 1.3 in Softonic

Running with Friends 1.50

Running with Friends is a multiplayer endless running game in which you have to run further than your friends at the famous running of the bulls in San Fermin, Spain.

Is Running with Friends different from other endless runners?

The basic format of Running with Friends is the same as the seemingly endless list of endless running games. On first play it will remind you instantly of games such as <taglink type="program" country="en" id="3334904">Temple Run</taglink> or <taglink type="program" country="en" id="3344404">Subway Surfers</taglink>. You need to run as far as you can by dodging, jumping, or sliding under the obstacles in your way.

The setting for Running with Friends is San Fermin, Spain, home of the famous "running of the bulls" festival. So, instead of trying to outrun a hoard of monkeys (as in Temple Run) or an angry stationmaster (Subway Surfers), this time you're being pursued by angry bulls.

Other gameplay twists include the ability to grab hold of bulls and ride them to earn bonuses, plus you can perform some pretty spectacular leaps over buildings.

But the biggest difference between the gameplay of Running with Friends and most other endless runners is that this game is that it lets you compete against other players around the world, be it your Facebook friends, or random strangers. The idea is that you take part in head-to-head battles with your buddies to see who can run the furthest - and this proves very enjoyable and addictive, especially since your friends are represented by runners in the game itself so you know that when you've gone past them you've beaten their score.

There are weekly leaderboards where you can see how you've fared out of all your Facebook friends and players you've ran against during the week.

Running with Friends is free to play, though in-app purchasing is available. Game currency allows you to continue runs from where you fell in order to improve your distance. You can also buy new avatars for your runner.

Is it easy to play?

Part of Running with Friends' addictive charm comes from its simplicity. The gesture controls are much the same as Temple Run and Subway Surfers: swiping left and right allows you to dodge obstacles and turn corners, swiping up performs a jump and swiping down performs a slide to go under an obstacle or break an object. There's a handy interactive tutorial at the start which guides you through everything.

Navigating the menus in Running with Friends is very easy and once you've signed in with your Facebook creditials or registered for an online account, challenging and playing friends is a straightforward business.

How does it look?

Running with Friends is very well presented. The design of the cartoony game world has a distinctly Spanish flavor, from the police cars down to the street signs. This, coupled with the flamenco-style soundtrack gives it real charm and almost makes you feel like you're on the streets of San Fermín.

The verdict

Running with Friends is yet another endless running game and in that respect it is very unorignal. However, the social twist on the genre, coupled with the exceptional treatment of the bull running theme, combines make this a really enjoyable game that's hard to put down.

Download Running with Friends 1.50 in Softonic

FIFA 13 1.0.8

FIFA 13 is a detailed and realistic soccer game for iOS, which mirrors the slick gameplay of the <taglink type="program" country="en" id="3347177">console version</taglink>, and includes many of the same game modes.

As you'd expect if you played the <taglink type="program" country="en" id="333376">last version</taglink>, FIFA 13 features a wealth of licensed teams and players. In fact, there are 30 leagues, 500 licensed and more than 15,000 real players crammed into FIFA 13 for iOS.

Game modes in FIFA 13

Several game modes from the console/PC version are present in the iOS version of FIFA 13. You can play a quick match (including training mode and shootout), compete in a tournament, test your tactical skills in Manager mode, and now compete online against other players around the world. Though the online mode is nowhere near as in-depth as the console version of FIFA 13, it is a welcome addition to the mobile version.

Another fun feature of FIFA 13 is the challenge mode. Here you are thrust into a real life match scenario (based on actual games that have taken place) and must try to turn the tie around in your favor.

Look and feel

The graphics in FIFA 13 are much improved on previous mobile versions of the game. Players look more realistic not just in their facial features, but also in the way they move and collide with each other.

In terms of controls, FIFA 13 is quite fiddly, using an on-screen analog stick and four action buttons, which change depending on whether you're attacking or defending. The most significant addition from FIFA 12 is the Skill move button, which allows you to perform dazzling tricks by touching the button then performing touch gestures on the on-screen grid that appears.

More social features

FIFA 13 has more social features than previous versions. Not only can you add friends and then challenge them to matches, but there is an option within the instant replay viewer that allows you to upload the rerun to YouTube. This is perfect for showing off your silky skills and great goals with the world.

With it's wealth of game modes, polished graphics and realistic gameplay, FIFA 13 is a must-have for all soccer fans.

Download FIFA 13 1.0.8 in Softonic

Robot Unicorn Attack 2 1.0.1

Robot Unicorn Attack 2 is the sequel to the popular endless runner, Robot Unicorn Attack, in which you star as a mechanized unicorn dashing through a dream-like world.

What is Robot Unicorn Attack 2 all about?

The principle of Robot Unicorn Attack 2 is much the same as the first version of the game. Your objective is to run as far as you can by leaping over and dashing through the various obstacles that lie in your way. Besides platforms, these obstacles can include sheets of glass and even bad guys who fire sun beams at you. Unlike the first game, in Robot Unicorn Attack 2 you have the power of flight to assist you.

You get three lives (or 'wishes' as they're called in Robot Unicorn Attack 2) and the idea is that you try to travel as far as you can within these lives. Along the way you need to pick up blue stars, which can later be exchanged for power-ups and upgrades to pimp your robot unicorn. Stars can be supplemented (and generally need to be) with in-app purchases to get hold of items such as new bodies, wings, horns, manes and tails.

Robot Unicorn Attack 2 adds a multiplayer mode whereby you can play as a good unicorn (Team Rainbow) or a bad unicorn (team Inferno) and take part in a global daily challenge of good versus evil. If you win, you'll earn some in-game currency.

How to play Robot Unicorn Attack 2

Robot Unicorn Attack 2 is very easy to pick up and start playing, even if you never tried the first game. The unicorn automatically runs to the right and you can perform a jump by tapping the right side of the screen or a dash by tapping the right side. A combination of a jump and a dash will make the unicorn fly.

The first time you play Robot Unicorn Attack 2 you'll be taken through the controls in the form of an interactive tutorial level.

Dazzling eye candy

The presentation of Robot Unicorn Attack 2 is imaginative to say the least. The unicorn itself looks great and can be customized to the hilt, while the dreamlike levels and backgrounds are like something out of The Neverending Story. You'll encounter plenty of rainbows, ice sculptures, space whales, dolphins and Levithian seahorses - all gorgeously designed.

The great thing about Robot Unicorn Attack 2 is that levels change on a daily basis, which helps to add some spice to the repetitive nature of the gameplay. Every day the design of the level will be different, meaning you'll have to learn where all the platforms and obstacles are all over again on a daily basis.

One of the crowning gems of the original game was its soundtrack, which featured Erasure's magical hit, 'Always'. Unfortunately, in Robot Unicorn Attack 2 the song is absent and you need to pay for it if you want (you can choose from a range of soundtracks to buy). The default backing track in Robot Unicorn Attack 2 is infectious and similar in style to Always but the constant looping of it drives you a bit crazy after a while.

The verdict

Robot Unicorn Attack 2 is an imaginative endless running game and this sequel adds plenty of new interest such as the upgrades, online challenges and levels that change on a daily basis.

Ultimately though, it's a repetitive game and once the novelty of flying unicorns and mythical worlds has worn off you'll tire of the monotonous running.

Download Robot Unicorn Attack 2 1.0.1 in Softonic

Iron Man 3 1.0.0

Iron Man 3 is an elaborate endless runner-style game in which you star as the famous superhero featured in the third installment of the movie series.

Endless running expanded

The format of Iron Man 3 is essentially that of an endless running (or, in this case, flying) game. But it's far more in-depth than many popular titles of this genre (<taglink type="program" country="en" id="3334904">Temple Run</taglink>, <taglink type="program" country="en" id="328953">Jetpack Joyride</taglink>, <taglink type="program" country="en" id="128170">Monster Dash</taglink>, etc.), following a story based loosely around the plot of the Iron Man 3 movie.

Iron Man 3's gameplay is based around flying over various different levels, dodging obstacles and shooting enemies as you go. There are lots of objects and power-ups to collect that can help you upgrade your suit, purchase new suits (18 in total!) and weapons, and boost your defenses.

Besides the goal of traveling as far as you can without dying, there are lots of missions in Iron Man 3 which, if completed, give you rewards such as credits and 'ISO-8', the game's currency. There are even daily missions to complete which help you to piece together the story and earn more credits.

Like many games these days, Iron Man 3 relies on in-app purchasing to help you progress through the game. Without paying your progress is severely hampered and you'll be waiting around a lot for Iron Man to be repaired, or left with not enough capabilities to complete the missions. It's frustrating, but it's a fact of life in these days of 'freemium' gaming models.

There's no multiplayer mode as such, though you can pit yourself against others online by comparing your high scores.

Taking flight

The first few times you play Iron Man 3 you'll no doubt be a bit bewildered by all the missions, items to collect, baddies you can shoot, baddies you can't shoot, and the way that Iron Man chooses for himself whether to fly high or low.

What's more, controlling the metallic superhero in Iron Man 3 feels a little clunky and awkward. The default movement controls are based around swiping the screen left or right to change direction but it isn't particularly precise, making it difficult to avoid obstacles.
Mr. Runner 2: The Masks 1.0.0

Mr. Runner 2: The Masks is a sequel to the original Mr. Runner. Updating the graphics to be much more colorful and detailed game, Mr. Runner 2: The Masks retains its addictive arcade gameplay.

Red light, Green light

The core of Mr. Runner 2: The Masks has you guiding Mr. Runner through different stages. He is always running, even in the menu screen where you can access your inventory, store, and different worlds that are unlocked by collecting stars in levels.

As you play, you collect coins, stars, chests, and keys. Coins let you buy powerups, stars open new worlds, and keys open collected chests.

There are different types of chests from bronze, silver, and gold, each holding different items. There are collectible masks in these chests that you can wear.

There are in-app purchases in Mr. Runner 2: The Masks, but they are not necessary because the game gives you a lot of coins as you play through levels.

Simple controls, challenging gameplay

Controls are simple, you tap and hold the left side of the screen to slow down and tap and hold the right side to speed up and sprint. There is rechargeable meter for sprinting and it's important to use it carefully.

Each level in Mr. Runner 2: The Masks contain different challenges. The first world has you running through caves that rise and fall. If you do not run carefully, the ceiling will fall and kill you.

In the second world, there is a whale that shoots water and coins out of its spout. The water can kill you so you have to avoid it as it falls. Each world has a different theme.

It would have been easy to copy and paste similar worlds, but Mr. Runner 2: The Masks has a great amount of variety providing a lot of gameplay.

Polished visuals and lots of fun

Mr. Runner 2: The Masks is a big step up from the original Mr. Runner. Just from the visual improvements, the collectible aspect of the game keeps it interesting. It is actually fun to go back and replay past levels to try to collect all the items.

One small issue is that sometimes the game doesn't register the controls so you accidentally die in a level without meaning to. It does not happen often, but at unfortunate times.

There is a lot to content to enjoy in Mr. Runner 2: The Masks, especially if you are a completists and want to collect all the masks in the game.

Good for commutes

Each stage in Mr. Runner 2: The Masks only takes a few minutes and is a perfect pick-up-and-play game. The amount of content in the game is great.

If you are looking for an endless runner, Mr. Runner 2: The Masks is not that type of game because it adds more personality and humor that makes the gameplay experience excellent.

Download Mr. Runner 2: The Masks 1.0.0 in Softonic

WordPress is one of the most popular blogging platforms around these days, and now you can access the service through your iPhone.

WordPress for iOS allows you to access your control panel through your mobile in order to manage your self-hosted or WordPress.com blog on the go. Not only does the application let you quickly add a new post, but you can also access and modify existing posts, as well as manage comments.

Another plus point about WordPress for iPhone is that you can upload photos and videos directly from your iOS device to your blog.

The user interface of the WordPress app is very easy to get around, although ultimately the application lacks potency as a serious blogging tool. The reason for this is that there is not support within the GUI for adding text formatting or inserting links, so you'll need to hand code everything if you want anything more than just plain text, pictures and videos.

It's a handy tool for bloggers who are desperate to add content while they're away from their computers, but WordPress for iOS lacks a lot of the power of the web version of the tool .

Download WordPress 3.5.3 in Softonic

Netflix 4.0

Netflix is a video entertainment streaming subscription service.

Netflix allows subscribers to watch television, movies, and other video content through their mobile devices. Netflix's library continues to increase as new content is loaded into the service. Netflix on mobile is one of the many ways subscribers can access their subscriptions.

The app's interface is broken into different categories like suggested content, recently viewed, and new arrivals. While new content is easy to find, using Netflix’s search tool is a little awkward. While Netflix contains a huge library, it is not a complete database of all video content.

Since Netflix uses streaming technology, the quality of the video depends on a few factors. Whether on Wi-Fi or a data connection, a strong Internet connection is vital for smooth playback. Netflix buffers the video stream so there are usually no problems with watching video.

Quality control is dynamic so Netflix will downgrade the quality to keep streaming the content. Over both Wi-Fi and a data connection, Netflix had little issues with playback, but skipping ahead in video did result in waiting while the video was buffered.

Also with the streaming connection, the source of the video plays a big part in quality. Older video does look aged while recent high definition video looks much better. There is a tradeoff between quality and consistent playback. When there is a solid connection, the app is great, but slower connections will cause the app to slow down while it starts the video.

Netflix is an excellent app for users who enjoy watching television and movies wherever they are located.

Download Netflix 4.0 in Softonic

Injustice: Gods Among Us 1.0.2

Injustice: Gods Among Us is a collectible card game mixed with a fighting game. The core of the game is a three-versus-three touch-based brawler with the collectible cards used to expand your roster of heroes and villains.

Enter the DC universe

The best aspect of Injustice: Gods Among Us is that you can play as many of the heroes and villains that exist in the DC comic book universe. You create three person teams that can be a combination of heroes and villains.

Characters are unlocked by earning or purchasing their individual card which can be switched out to create your custom team. There are other cards that can be used as boosters to aid you in battle. The leveling system in Injustice: Gods Among Us is basic with characters gaining experience after battles.

As you work through the different fights, your team will need to rest to gain their strength back or you can use a card to replenish their health. It also costs power to fight each match so you may quickly find yourself waiting to fight again.

Touch and swipe

Injustice: Gods Among Us borrows the controls that Batman Arkham City Lockdown previously used. You swipe or tap the screen for various attacks and press and hold to block. Combat is not very difficult and is more of an attack-and-wait type of game.

The graphics in Injustice: Gods Among Us are not the same quality as the console versions, but it works well for mobile devices. Smaller screens are a little more difficult to play on as your fingers will cover the screen a lot of the time.

You can also purchase characters and booster packs with in-app purchases if you really want the main DC characters that are locked from the beginning of the game.

Repetitive combat combined with a waiting game

There is not much to experience after playing Injustice: Gods Among Us for a couple rounds. The combat is repetitive and it never feels fulfilling. Another problem is that the roster of characters you are originally given does not consist of the more recognizable DC characters.

Even though characters have different move sets, the controls are all the same so you end up attacking and blocking repeatedly.

The card system sounds interesting, but it does not provide a lot of depth. You can unlock items for the console version of the game and unlock items for the mobile version, but it never feels like there is a reason why Injustice: Gods Among Us exists.

This mobile version feels more like a tie-in with recycled controls and new character skins.

Pass unless you love DC Comics

Injustice: Gods Among Us is another example of how in-app purchases make a game less fun and more frustrating. It would have been better if Injustice: Gods Among Us was a paid game and you got all the characters at once.

Having to either unlock or purchase character cards is annoying and does not add to the gameplay. Even combat costs energy to play so you end up waiting to continue playing.

Injustice: Gods Among Us could have been a good mobile version of the fighting game, but it comes across as a quick free-to-play cash grab.

Download Injustice: Gods Among Us 1.0.2 in Softonic

Skee-Ball 2 1.1.3

Skee-Ball 2 is based around the classic arcade game, skee-ball, in which you need to roll balls into the numbered holes on a bank. It's surprisingly engaging for a port of such a simple real world game.

Skee-ball reimagined

Just like the original S<taglink type="program" country="en" id="304193">kee-Ball</taglink> game for iOS, Skee-Ball 2 takes the ball-rolling format and adds all manner of bells and whistles to it. You earn points and tokens by playing well, which you can exchange for power-ups such as three balls at once.

There are plenty of items and objects to collect too, including new ball designs, different playing surfaces, and avatars. In-app purchases allow you to get more tokens to unlock more prizes. You can also earn tokens by landing the ball in the hole with the flashing light.

Skee-Ball 2 includes a multiplayer mode, which works via Game Center. You can either take on a friend, or play against a random opponent in a best-of-three match.

Great handling

The controls in Skee-Ball 2 are very easy to pick up (there's a handy tutorial anyway, which walks you through the basics). You roll a ball by flicking your finger upwards to control the speed and direction. Tilting your device changes the spin on the ball, so, with some practice, you can be very precise in where you want the ball to land.

Authentic arcade experience

Skee-Ball 2 offers as realistic a simulation of the real thing as you could hope for on a mobile device. The different tracks are well designed and the ball physics are very impressive and leave no surprises when you launch the ball.

The sound effects in Skee-Ball 2 are even more impressive, and the thud of the ball landing on carpet will instantly take you back to those childhood days spent playing the game in arcades.

A skee-ball fan's delight

Fans of the real life version of the game will love Skee-Ball 2. Not only does it provide an accurate simulation of the real thing, but the power-ups, items, achievements and the multiplayer mode give the game real depth.

Despite all this dressing up, Skee-Ball 2 is repetitive and is essentially just rolling balls into holes time after time. However, there is fun to be had, even if only for a while.

Download Skee-Ball 2 1.1.3 in Softonic

Dungeon Hunter 4 1.0

Dungeon Hunter 4 is an epic role-playing game (RPG) in which you hack and slash your way through lavish mythical worlds, building up your character's skills and weaponry as you go.

Story-focused

Unlike the arena-based previous version of the game, Dungeon Hunter 4 focuses on classic single-player RPG gameplay. You choose from four different character types (known as 'classes'), each with their own specialties, and are thrown into a fantastical story in which you must save your kin by slaying the many and varied demons that lay in your path.

In order to achieve your quest in Dungeon Hunter 4, you need to collect, earn or buy items to improve your abilities, such as swords, armor, weapons and potions. Dungeon Hunter 4 is based around a 'freemium' model, where you need to pay for new weapons and powers and to speed up upgrades to your existing skills. The first few levels are easy to get through without having to pay, but then it becomes very difficult to progress without spending money - unless you're prepared to wait for the upgrades.

Although Dungeon Hunter 4 focuses on the single-player campaign, there is an online multiplayer mode, in which you can battle against others, or play in co-op mode. To play these modes you'll need a Facebook or Gameloft Live account.

Easy to get into

Dungeon Hunter 4 is easy to pick up and play, even if you're new to RPG gaming. The first couple of levels are based around showing you the basics of how to move around and fight, how to access your inventory, and how to upgrade your powers.

The controls in Dungeon Hunter 4 are based around an on-screen directional stick, plus action buttons for performing basic hits and special moves (positioning of these can be customized). It's comfortable to move around and perform attacks in Dungeon Hunter 4.

Beautiful visuals

Dungeon Hunter 4 is lavishly presented and is a real treat to watch. Characters are many and varied but it's the gorgeous scenarios that really blow you away. It's the best looking Dungeon Hunter game so far. The thundering soundtrack and almighty sound effects really add to the atmosphere and at times you'll feel truly immersed in this mythical world.

There's plenty of dialog in Dungeon Hunter 4, and the voice acting is generally pretty good, save for a few minor characters who sound like they've taken the stage at an amateur dramatics evening.

Is it worth installing?

The storyline itself and the way the game plays out isn't anything original. Dungeon Hunter 4 is a classic tale of ridding a civilization of invading beasts by hacking and slashing your way through them.

Still, Dungeon Hunter 4 looks great and is a lot of fun to play. It's a shame that progress is ultimately limited to how much you're willing to pay (or wait) in order to beat the game.

Download Dungeon Hunter 4 1.0 in Softonic

DrawRace 2 HD is a racing game that requires players to think before the race.

The major difference in the racing of DrawRace 2 HD and any other racing game is that DrawRace 2 HD requires players to draw out the course for their car before the race begins. Players have to think strategically about the twists and turns of each course before they are matched up against their friends or the computer controlled car.

DrawRace 2 HD uses this gameplay mechanic with a lot of skill. The game does not favor an arcade feel, but actually feels like it attempts to be a real racing title, just with a different mechanic. The cars react to the track, whether it is off-road or an official stadium circuit, with a familiar feel. The different cars of DrawRace 2 HD also change the gameplay as each car has different statistics and uses.

The game feels like a fully realized racing title, just without players driving the cars in real time. Previous knowledge of realistic driving games will give players an edge when they can recognize when to brake and accelerate. DrawRace 2 HD contains the same type of car mechanics. DrawRace 2 HD does not try to be entirely realistic by including a turbo button and jumps for cars.

DrawRace 2 HD includes a lot of different races which are opened by winning gold medals in the various difficulty levels. The game also includes multiplayer for racing with friends. If players want, they can also unlock the entire game via an in-game purchase.

There is a lot of content in DrawRace 2 HD which will last players a long time. The smart learning curve of DrawRace 2 HD will challenge even the most knowledgeable driving game player with the huge number of challenges.

DrawRace 2 HD might play differently, but is one of the best driving games.

Download DrawRace 2 HD 1.35 in Softonic

Chop Chop Soccer HD is a fun soccer sim for iPad. Although not realistic like PES or Real Soccer, Chop Chop is well worth installing if you're a soccer fan.

The control system in Chop Chop Soccer HD couldn't be simpler. Unlike other the more serious iPhone soccer titles there's no on-screen joyppad or buttons. Instead, you move your player by holding your finger down and dragging it around the screen, with the ball automatically sticking to your feet. Passing and shooting in Chop Chop Soccer HD is done by flicking your finger in the direction you want the ball to go.

Chop Chop Soccer HD has a real sense of fun. The 3D graphics are large, bright and colorful. Refreshingly for a soccer sim, the players are girls, and they all look like they’ve come straight from an episode of the Powerpuff Girls cartoon.

There are three game modes in Chop Chop Soccer HD. You can play an exhibition match, enter a tournament as one of 12 international teams, or practice the controls in the training mode.

Noticeably absent is a multiplayer mode. This would’ve helped to improve the longevity of Chop Chop Soccer HD, which is a bit too easy to keep you hooked for long.

Nevertheless, Chop Chop Soccer makes for an amusing and refreshing change to all those straight iPhone soccer games.

Download Chop Chop Soccer HD 1.9.1 in Softonic

You do this by making groups of three or more colored birds, which makes them all disappear from the screen.

The controls in Bubble Birds HD are very simple and involve just tapping on the area you want to fire the bird at. The longer you take to clear the board, the more birds appear. Clear the board and you'll progress on to the next level.

The graphics in Bubble Birds HD are bright and colorful, making it a quirky variation on the Bubble Shooter genre. However, nothing is added to the gameplay to make it significantly different from the age-old puzzle format.

Bubble Birds HD is a fun way to waste a few minutes, although the gameplay is not at all original.

Download Bubble Birds HD 1.7.2 in Softonic

Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD para iPad 1.5.1

Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD is a thrilling mobile racing game, offering lots of cars, tracks, events and power-ups.

Game modes

You can choose to play either a quick race, career mode or online/local multiplayer in Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD. This career mode will keep you entertained for hours as you race your way through different events, aiming to finish in the top three in order to progress to the next course.

There's so much variety within Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD. There are 55 different courses, taking in everywhere from Las Vegas to the European Alps. There are dozens of cars to unlock too, including Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins.

Besides unlocking tracks and cars, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD also rewards you with cash to tune your vehicle. You can even 'unlock' girlfriends, then access them through the 'Phone a girl' feature so they appear on screen when you race.

Graphics and controls

The polished 3D graphics in Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD are so good that you'll sometimes feel like you're playing a console driving game. In fact, the graphics are on a par with anything we've seen from this genre on a mobile to date.

The control system in Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD is kept very simple. We're big fans of the auto-accelerate system used in this driving game, and there were no problems with the touch controls during our tests on an HTC Sensation.

Racing cars in Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD is great fun, and the huge career mode and multiplayer options mean it will take a long time to get bored of this game.

Download Asphalt 6: Adrenaline HD para iPad 1.5.1 in Softonic

Podcasts 1.2

Podcasts provides a streamlined way to listen to your favorite podcasts and radio shows on your iOS device.

Your podcast library appears automatically - in fact you'll still be able to see them in the music app too. The new Podcasts library view is much more attractive, and you can move the podcast images around so your favorites are always on top. Touch the Catalog button lets you search for new podcasts, and you can also find them in the Top Stations tab, which works like an old radio dial.

Touching a podcast thumbnail lets you browse the episodes you have, and you can also alter the settings for each subscription. This is Podcasts' main improvement for me - you can choose to auto-download podcasts when they are available, choose how many episodes you want to keep and how you want them ordered. It's a huge improvement over the system in the Music app.

When you're listening to a podcast, you see the all new Podcasts player interface. Drag the image up to reveal the tape mechanism below, which gives you speed controls, sharing options, navigation, and the fantastic sleep timer.

Podcasts really improves on what was on offer in Music/iTunes, and has some great features for anyone who regularly listens to podcasts.

Download Podcasts 1.2 in Softonic
