Agrar Simulator 2013 1.0.0.6

Agrar Simulator 2013 is a game, like <taglink type="program" country="en" id="6649349">Farming Simulator 2013</taglink>, that allows players to drive farm tractors and move cargo. The short demo features several small tutorials designed to familiarize players with the fundamentals of operating their vehicles. These instructional segments contain poor directions and information, often times omitting the controls for completing such tasks.

You will need to browse through the options and settings to learn how to perform routine maneuvers such as boarding their tractor and rigging trailers. Without doing this, players may find themselves unable to board a vehicle or randomly teleporting toward spawn points.

Even after getting a grasp of the Agrar Simulator 2013's inputs, it can be frustrating to control a tractor. In one instance accelerating too quickly caused the tractor to nosedive into the ground, spin on its front tires, and finish with a hop back to stable grounding. During a second test a finicky checkpoint required finesse precision in order to register as completed. Suffice to say, the lumbering tractor required several grazes and flat out misses, before finally aligning with its mark.

Agrar Simulator 2013 lacks polish and any sense of realism. However, there is a charm in favor of its shoddy execution. The demo offers a large amount of amusement from the game's unpredictable and outlandish flaws. Given UIG's track record with past titles, such as Woodcutter Simulator, one could assume that the strange design is quite purposeful.

Agrar Simulator 2013's bizarre functionality is further compounded with major tractor companies such as Massey Ferguson and Valtra. This could have strong appeal to diehard fans of farming equipment. For most players, there will likely be a gleeful shock watching a Challenger barrel off the side of the road and massacre a flock of chickens.

Agrar Simulator 2013's demo should be downloaded and enjoyed by anyone that wants to see things go array. Those wanting a down to earth simulation may be in for a great surprise.

Download Agrar Simulator 2013 1.0.0.6 in Softonic

Microsoft Flight

Microsoft Flight, the latest in the long running simulator series, is an impressive free to play title full of things to do, that looks great and is suitable for players of all levels.

Take off is easy

Microsoft Flight is easy to play right from the start. The tutorials are excellent and they don't assume you have any experience. Simulator purists might dislike this new casual feel, but realism can be increased whenever you want.

To start with all the activity centers around Hawaii, but more locations and planes will be added over time - some of this will be premium content and some not, but there have been no detailed announcements yet. Every mission you complete earns you experience points, which open up more things to do. If you sign into Microsoft LIVE, you'll get a Microsoft Flight Pilot Profile which displays your achievements

Like Nintendo's PilotWings, Microsoft Flight is a gentle game. For example, your second mission will see you landing your instructor next to a yacht so she can play ukulele at a wedding! This chilled lifestyle feel reminds me of an even more laid back <taglink type="program" country="en" id="76022">Test Drive Unlimited</taglink> (which shares Hawaii as its location). Enjoying the scenery and simple flight is essential, and made easier by the attractive island and beautiful skies.

Challenging whatever your level

Increasing the realism and changing the flight conditions in Microsoft Flight can make it significantly more exciting. Darkness, fog, rain or wind make accurate flight more difficult and you can get extra points in many missions by doing acrobatic maneuvers.

In Microsoft Flight's free flight mode, you are limited only by your fuel tanks, but they do take a long time to empty! The two planes included in the beta test are small and easy to fly - we'll have to see what Microsoft studios have in mind as far as jumbo jet flying goes!

Microsoft Flight is the most accessible version flight simulator yet. It looks great and is easy to pick up and play. Whether it can recapture fans of the original series, which was anything but casual, is yet to be seen. Check out the demo for 2007's Flight Simulator X (FSX) for a comparison.

Download Microsoft Flight in Softonic

The car models are realistic, and the environments look clean, but detailed enough. This demo features one car and three tracks to try.
The game features no competition, just practicing lap times.
Doing so would not be so bad, but the realistic physics of X Motor Racing render driving - at least using the keyboard - horribly fiddly.
Even with an automatic transmission, it's a huge challenge to get round a road track without multiple spins, and the off-road tracks are really awful.
The sound is very average, with the sand-trap effects being particularly bad. There is no modeled damage on cars after collisions
The physics in X Motor Racing are customizable, but you'll need a lot of patience or expertise to really enjoy changing those parameters.
This is a simulator in the purest sense, and only for die-hard realism fans - although anyone who has driven a real car won't find this a very similar experience.

Download X Motor Racing 1.23 in Softonic

Garbage Truck Simulator 1.0

There are simulators for everything from trains and planes, to cranes and more. Now you can experience the unique delights of Garbage Truck Simulator, building your own garbage empire and cleaning up the city.

Getting started in your garbage career

Garbage Truck Simulator is not a game, it is a simulator. It's important to bear this in mind, as it makes no attempt to make Garbage collection fun! However, there are some ways in which Garbage Truck Simulator could have been more accessible. There is no tutorial, meaning you will learn the ropes by responding to error messages, like 'you cannot begin this mission without a garbage truck'. But you can't buy a truck as you have no money, so you have to get a loan from the bank. This could have been a process Garbage Truck Simulator took players through with instructions.

Waste management

Similarly, Garbage Truck Simulator has no in game control instructions, meaning you have to memorize them before you begin your first mission. Once you are in, you control your three garbage collectors. One drives, and two look after collection. The Enter key rotates between them, while Space is a contextual action button. You can start or stop your truck with Space, as well as pick up trash and get on the truck.

Less fun than real garbage collection

Garbage Truck Simulator's graphics are reasonable, and the truck moves quite realistically. Moving on foot is pretty bad, and the camera angles are poor. The action mixes management of resources with garbage collection performance, but it's so slow you would have to be a real fan of the business to enjoy it! Garbage Truck Simulator does what it says on the tin, but it could have been so much more intuitive if it featured tutorials and some character.

As it stands, Garbage Truck Simulator is a very average simulator, that's probably much less fun than the real thing.

Download Garbage Truck Simulator 1.0 in Softonic

The data could be easily recovered with special software apps and you need to avoid that with sensitive data.

With O&O SafeErase you can rest assured that your deleted files won't be recovered. This program lets you wipe files, folders, disk partitions or even the whole hard drive in just a couple of clicks, using safe deletion methods that render recovery apps totally useless. Besides deleting files and folders, O&O SafeErase now also lets you delete temporary Internet files (cookies, history, data saved in forms and the likes) safely, thus protecting your privacy.

O&O SafeErase features a nicely designed interface with a main area (the so called Start page) where you can select the task you want to perform: delete files and folders, Internet files, temporary Windows files or disk partitions. Two other options (freeing disk space and deleting the whole computer) are not available in the demo version.

O&O SafeErase does an efficient job, though it can take a while depending on how many elements you've marked for erasing. You have the option of simulating file deletion before actually getting rid of the data, and can also save a report with details about the job. Plus there are six deletion methods to choose from, from the most secure one (in which data are overwritten by 35 different cycles) to the simplest one, where selected files are overwritten by zeros.

With O&O SafeErase you can easily erase sensitive data, including Internet files, in a few steps and make sure it's not recovered.

Download O&O SafeErase 5.0.452 in Softonic

Farming Simulator is a driving game based around tractors in the countryside. From hay bailing to obstacle courses, this simulator brings you life in the slow lane.

This demo of Farming Simulator allows you to experience two missions: a time trial and hay bailing. The first is just a one-lap, one-man race around an obstacle course, and in the second you have to carefully pull a hay baler over cut wheat, to make bails of hay. There are medals for fast times, although it's not too hard to get gold.

The physics of Farming Simulator feel pretty basic. The tractors don't move very subtly, and the models don't move with suspension, so they look quite old fashioned. The graphics overall are functional, but won't worry the Need For Speeds of this world. The sound, similarly, is acceptable but nothing more. The slow-paced action is based on a sparsely populated and quiet island.

Farming Simulator is pretty basic in terms of what it offers. There is no attempt to make any of the farming fun, so if you don't enjoy tractor driving, Farming Simulator won't change your mind. For farming fans, it's a fairly varied game, but spoiled by it's outdated presentation.

Farming Simulator is just what it says it is, as long as you think farming is all done in a tractor!

Download Farming Simulator 2011 in Softonic

There are no driving aids and no arcade modes to satisfy the casual user!

The game is pretty slick. The tutorial will take some time, and is not easy, and that's before you get to the racing. You steer with the mouse, and things like gears are on the keyboard. Mouse steering is never ideal, but the developers say if you're serious enough about driving, you'll own a steering wheel!

That is not ideal for most users, so you'll have to make do with the mouse. The graphics are pretty good, with nice vehicle models, realistic sound and good handling. What's annoying about racing is that the computer AI is too rigid. Other cars stick like glue to the racing line, and if you're out of position they won't avoid you, but push you, which often results in a spin.

This demo features 3 cars and one track, and the difficulty level means that's plenty to start off with. There has certainly been a lot of care put into Live for Speed, but unless you're a race perfectionist, you'll struggle to get to grips with it.

Live for Speed is a good looking simulator that doesn't pull its punches when it comes to being realistic.

Download Live for Speed S2 Demo in Softonic

German Truck Simulator 1.04

From the makers of Euro Truck Simulator comes German Truck Simulator, and the title tells you all you should need to know about it. Take control of a number of realistic trucks, including licensed MAN vehicles, and transport various loads across Germany.

German Truck Simulator has 18 German cities, spread right across the country, connected by autobahns and major roads. The game has a long career mode, while this demo is only an hour long. That's long enough to get a feel for the hugeness of the game! The distances in German Truck Simulator are impressive, and deliveries will take a long time as you travel the length and breadth of the country.

Like other truck simulators, this one is very much for truck fans. If you like the idea of driving a truck realistically, German Truck Simulator is for you. Driving on highways is unlike normal driving games, as you have to constantly keep an eye in your mirrors to avoid overtaking traffic. You'll be overtaken a lot! Controls are effective, and detailed enough to keep aficionados happy, while being easy enough for beginners.

The graphics in German Truck Simulator are a bit lifeless, but they do look quite good, and the countryside you'll roll through is very pretty. The sound isn't outstanding, but it's functional at least.

Enjoying German Truck Simulator means enjoying driving, fairly slowly, over long distances. There is something attractive about it, as it's so much more relaxed than most games. The career, of collecting and upgrading trucks is very much second to the experience of actual truck driving.

It's won't be for everyone, but German Truck Simulator is a solid trucking game with a huge area to explore as you make your deliveries.

Download German Truck Simulator 1.04 in Softonic

This demo lets you race one circuit in either the American Dodge Charger, or Seat Ibiza. Both options allow you extensive set ups, as well as practice and qualifying. You can choose your difficulty level, and configure controls and car set up.

As soon as you get into a race, the problems with Race On become apparent. Aside from the outdated graphics, even on novice setting, your car is jittery and delicate, and almost impossible to take round corners at speed. It's slightly easier with analogue controls, but on the keyboard, Race On is virtually unplayable to all but the most expert of drivers.

The two cars offered in the demo are certainly very different, but as both are so awkward to drive it's difficult to enjoy them. The Ibiza should be an aggressive road hugging drive, and the Dodge a rear-wheeled beast but both just handle as if they are driving on ice. Simulation lovers might enjoy some of this, but there are much better sims out there, and Race On is totally inaccessible for novices.

Poor graphics and terrible handling mean Race On needs to improve a lot for the full version to be a contender.

Download Race On Demo in Softonic

Need For Speed Shift has arrived, and heralds a change of direction for the venerable racing series. Whereas in recent years it has found success in street racing, Need For Speed Shift goes for track racing.

This demo offers two races, and four cars to try out. There's a street circuit around London's Westminster, and a traditional circuit race track too. Don't think that because this looks like serious racing it's not a Need For Speed game any more. The presentation, with macho narration, and lots of exciting video is pure Need For Speed.

The driving model in Need For Speed Shift is more realistic than the pure arcade fun of previous outings, but it's no Gran Turismo. You can still drive agressively, and it's still arcade-like. Sliding the rear out round corners is not frowned upon! It's an odd mix - looking like a serious game and playing like Need For Speed, but as long as you accept this isn't a simulation, it's fun.

You'll need a pretty powerful PC to fully enjoy this, as even graphics settings set to low will test older machines. If your PC can handle it, it's an adrenaline filled, pumped up game with plenty to do.

Need For Speed Shift puts the series back on track, just remember that while it looks like a simulation, it definitely isn't!

Download Need for Speed Shift 0018 in Softonic

SBK 09 Superbike World Championship is a simulator that lets you play through the 2009 season. It includes all the real teams, riders and tracks.

This demo lets you race the Kyalami track, choose between two teams, and alter the weather and number of tracks. You can make SBK 09 Superbike World Championship as realistic as you like in terms of gameplay, with a wealth of driving aids to turn on and off. This makes it appealing to bike fanatics and the more casual players alike.

The track is really nicely done, and in the rain there are puddles and drier patches which make it feel really real (and extremely dangerous!). The riders are well rendered too, and their suits get scratched and damaged after a fall. Overall, however, the graphics won't wow anyone in 2009. They're not bad, but a few effects, like the water spray, look a bit old.

The effect of speed is pretty good - there are no flourishes like speed blurring, but as this is aiming for realism perhaps it's unsuitable. There's a big range of camera views, so you're sure to find on you're comfortable with.

Superbike fans will love SBK 09 Superbike World Championship, but it's not a particularly special racing game otherwise.

Download SBK 09 Superbike World Championship Demo in Softonic

PC users have had to wait a bit for Burnout Paradise to make the move from consoles, and possibly to compensate Criterion are offering this demo which gives you total access to the imaginary city, albeit for only half an hour.

The half an hour limit is an issue, as this is a huge download, coming in at 3 gigabytes! If you have a slow internet connection, you could easily be downloading for longer than you can play. The second issue is the format of introducing you to the game - which pauses your driving to explain something - can be irritating if you really just want to drive, see the city, and crash into stuff.

These criticisms can't detract from what is an absolutely fantastic arcade racing game. If you demand realistic handling and simulation from your racing games, Burnout Paradise is not for you. The physics are convincing while the handling of the cars is forgiving enough to permit long drifts and ridiculous jumps and crashes. Crashes, as fans of Burnout will tell you, are not done better anywhere else, and they are well integrated into races (after a big crash you have a running start!). This is all about adrenalin fueled, over the top, and psychotically dangerous racing.

There are numerous challenges from straight races to Road Rage, where the objectives is to takedown a number of other racers before you destroy your vehicle and Marked Man, where you have to reach a destination before pursuers destroy you. Alternatively, you can just drive around the enormous open world of Paradise City. Some people may find the lack of defined structure a pain - you are never told to do anything, just enter competitions at your leisure, but you soon get into the rhythm of the game.

Visually, the cars look great, the damage modeling is just what you would want, and the city is wonderful to look at, at night or day. The advantage of this fictional city is that it's been custom built to drive in, and the corners, ramps, short cuts and so on that are littered liberally around mean it's always a fun place to be.

As long as realism isn't your thing, Burnout Paradise City is the perfect driving playground.

Download Burnout Paradise The Ultimate Box in Softonic

Bus Simulator 2008 Demo

Bus Simulator puts you behind the steering wheel of a traditional urban bus and challenges you to complete "missions", that is, complete any of the city routes that bus must follow. But Bus Simulator is not only a driving simulator, meaning you'll have to take care of the business by deciding the price of tickets or renting the vehicle's ad spaces to make them more profitable.

Driving in Bus Simulator not as easy as it seems at first sight: not only you have to find your way in an unknown city (note you can open the map with the M key) but you also have to stop at every single bus stop in your route, open and close the doors and follow your way to the next one. Also, don't forget to respect road signs: I didn't stop for any red lights (too much GTA IV is seriously affecting my driving style, luckily only the virtual one) and got fired in about 5 minutes.

Graphics in Bus Simulator are just fine; quite realistic, but certainly not the best ones I've seen. Physics is not very elaborate, especially when it comes to crashing against objects or other cars (hey, don't laugh at me: I'm not that bad at driving, I just have to test everything!). Other than that, Bus Simulator just an original game that seems as exciting as driving a bus in real life.

The main feature in Bus Simulator is undoubtedly its originality; apart from that, it's just a standard driving simulator with some business management tools that may entertain you for a short while.

Download Bus Simulator 2008 Demo in Softonic

Nitro Stunt Racing Demo

Cars run on roads, planes fly through the skies.... well, not really. With Nitro Stunt Racing you'll fly with your car – literally.

In this racing simulator you sit behind the wheel of a powerful Formula Jet, a special racing vehicle equipped with a reactor that will enable you to perform the most incredible jumps ever. In fact, you spend half of the racing time on air! Luckily enough you can keep on controlling the car while flying to ensure a proper landing. Too bad I discovered this only after being disqualified for taking land on my car's roof. Hard as it may sound, the game is fairly easy to control and after just one race I was able to leave my only opponent behind quite often, sometimes even while flying over a bump which is probably the coolest way to overtake someone with your car. Just one tip: change the camera view with the C key; otherwise you won't be able to see the ground while you're on air and landing will be even worse.

On the downside, I was disappointed with the demo's incredibly strict limitations. You're limited not only to a single car and a single playing mode (duel) but also to a single track, something which particularly annoyed me because I wanted to try loops and this one track doesn't have any. At least the game features high-quality graphics and a well worked physics engine that delivers a very realistic speed sensation.

A very fun and original racing game from which unfortunately you'll catch only a brief glimpse due to demo limitations.

Download Nitro Stunt Racing Demo in Softonic

It might not be glamorous but there's no denying that this is a stunningly realistic simulator with lots of great features.

In Rail Simulator, you can choose from contemporary and historic trains on three levels of driving difficulty. Each train can be driven in easy, intermediate or expert mode. Easy provides a wonderful “install and go” experience which allows even novice drivers to experience the thrill of train driving. Expert mode is for professionals only - you won't even get out of the station if you're not.

Rail Simulator has Passenger and Freight mode with hours of missions which do get a bit boring but this game is all about the realism, not thrills and spills. However, meeting the demands of a busy commuter train or collecting the components of a freight train are certainly challenging tasks. If you prefer a more leisurely approach, free-roam allows to you explore the routes at your own pace.

Rail Simulator is a great game that might not be big on adventure but is sure to thrill train enthusiasts everywhere..

Download Rail Simulator in Softonic
