MyFileMan (UIQ 3.0)

This example shows how one of the more useful controls, CQikListBox, can be used to create a simple file manager. The file manager allows the user to browse through system file structure. When working with this application, please be aware of the new Platform Security introduced with UIQ 3 – data caging. Not all of the folders are publicly available. To be able to access the whole file structure, add the required capabilities to the resources and then apply for a Symbian Signed DevCert to access the necessary capabilities.

When the file manager is started, the user is given an option to browse drives 'C' or 'D'. This is hard coded. When a new folder is opened, the application scans its content. After that, new content in the listbox is updated to reflect this. The first row of the listbox gives the option to go back. Then folders are added and files after that. The user can mark files but not folders.

Download MyFileMan (UIQ 3.0) in Softonic

Do you care about confidential data on your smartphone, and you don't want to share this very important information? You need FileGuard! It will integrate into your system and become a guard for your special files! FileGuard allows to decrypt files on the fly and encrypts them again after the view/edit operation is finished. E.g. when you try to open an encrypted document file, FileGuard offers to enter the password, decrypts the document and starts Word application for it, after Word is closed the document will be encrypted automatically.

You can add all kinds of files you are going to encrypt in the main application view. After you add a file to favourites it can be encrypted. You can open the encrypted file from all kinds of applications. (e.g. FileMan, PowerFile, PowerDesk etc).

When you try to open the encrypted file, FileGuard will ask you to enter the password. After entering the password, the application used to read or edit the file will be opened automatically. (e.g. for doc - Word, xls - Excel, bmp,jpg - Image viewer etc). After closing the application, the file will be encrypted. Favourites list is needed for encryption only. After encrypting files you can close FileGuard and work with them from other applications.

Download Best FileGuard (S90) 1.00 in Softonic
