GiantCrayon Hangman is a completely animated hangman game with the look and feel of a real chalkboard. The letters and the drawing appear as hand-written, even with the appropriate chalk sound.

There are 2 alternative animations available (if you don't like the traditional hangman graphic), and you can even draw your own.
Play against a huge wordlist (over 24,000 entries) or make your own custom wordlists!

(Additional wordlists and other languages are also available - click here to view our wordlist store.
) Type your letters in or say them using the Mac speech recognition and the ICAO-alphabet (Alpha, Beta, Charlie, etc.

You can even create your own wordlists.

Download GiantCrayon Hangman in Softonic

Absolute Backgammon 7.2.4

Backgammon is an ancient strategy game which pits you against your opponent and also against fortune (in the shape of the dice). Absolute Backgammon is a sturdy, well designed implementation of the game for Mac with a range of features not often matched.

The design of the game is immediately recognisable (after all, there's not much that can be done to modernise a board which was designed thousands of years ago!). The graphics are pretty slick and you can also download more ornate or simple boards to suit your tastes.

Within the game, you're offered a choice of five different difficulty ratings - of which I found 'Novice' to be the most forgiving! The game includes all the usual features you'd expect (like doubling, for example) but also offers some really handy help and advice for beginners. Move suggestions, learning mode and even a guide to backgammon all came in really helpful. I'm reliably informed that the harder difficulty levels are also pretty good!

The last thing I'd add about this game was the quality of the demo version. The way it works is that around half of the games you start will be cut off during play, while the other half will allow you to play to the end. This seems like a fair and sensible way of giving users a try at the game, while reminding them that there's a more complete version out there.

Download Absolute Backgammon 7.2.4 in Softonic

Mouseposé 3.0.613

When you make a presentation you want people to focus on areas of the screen that you've chosen. With Mouseposé you can highlight your mouseclicks and movements and all your keystrokes.

This elegant yet discreet application is a great complement to a live presentation on your Mac. Once launched, it's easy to use it to highlight on your mouse, thanks to a small spot of light that will focus on it, or on your keystrokes, which appear in big characters at the bottom of your screen every time you type. Left and right mouse clicks will appear in different colors and you can also customize different sounds for different clicks.

Mouseposé includes a talkthrough tutorial, perfect for new users, which demonstrates all the features of the program with a voiceover. It only takes a few minutes and should give you a pretty good grasp of how it works and what it can do.

You can use both speech recognition and AppleScript with Mouseposé, however not all users will feel comfortable working with the latter.

All in all though, Mouseposé is an excellent program to highlight your mouse clicks, movements and keystrokes. Perfect for presentations!

Download Mouseposé 3.0.613 in Softonic
