The Symbian version of FIFA 13 is far less developed than the iOS version of FIFA. It has a distinctly retro feel to it, and feels more like playing the early FIFA games that came out on 16-bit consoles - though obviously with the disadvantage of being on a small screen with no control pad!

FIFA 13 is a pretty complete game, allowing you to compete in many leagues from around the world. There are more than 250 club and national teams, and all are officially licensed, so the player names and characterizations are real. There are plenty of tactical options in FIFA 13 for Symbian, from the ability to pick your team, right down to who should take free kicks and corners during a match.

The biggest problems with playing FIFA 13 on Nokia phones are the graphics and controls. The 2D graphics are uninspiring and there's little detail to distinguish one player from another.

Artificial intelligence is weak, meaning that gameplay can get boring and predictable. The control system is very fiddly, and more primitive than other versions of FIFA 13, giving you the feeling that your options on the pitch seem very limited.

There aren't many good soccer games for Symbian. FIFA 13 is certainly one of the most comprehensive but playing matches is quite a dull affair.

Racing fans may not find the speed of Nokia Racing to be extremely fast, but where the game excels is the strategic driving required to achieve good distances.

Cars drive from a vertical view, and you have to move your car around collecting repair and gas kits while avoiding road hazards and other cars. Each time you drive into another car or over a hazard, your car loses health and when you reach zero, the race is over.

It is simple at first, but requires timing and thinking to keep your car healthy.

Graphics in Nokia Racing are simplistic, but the game plays without any problems. Controls are easy. Touch the direction you want the car to drive and in a grid system, the car will move that direction. The challenge of Nokia Racing happens the further you drive with different hazards and the difficulty of the computer opponents.

The purpose of Mine Sweeper Touch, as with the classic Windows version of the puzzle game, is to identify the location of all the mines on a grid. Tap a square on the grid to reveal it. You will either hit a bomb (in which case it's game over), a blank square, or a number. The number reveals how many mines are adjacent to that square.

If you think you've deduced where a mine is you flag it in Mine Sweeper Touch by long pressing on it. The number of mines you have flagged is shown at the bottom of the screen, so you know how many you've got left to look for (assuming your guesses are correct).

Mine Sweeper Touch is a fairly no-frills version of the Minesweeper game. There are three difficulty levels (10 mines, 15 mines or 20 mines) to choose, but apart from that there's nothing original that's been added to the original format, and the graphics are pretty basic.

That said, if you're a fan of Minesweeper on the PC, Mine Sweeper Touch is well worth downloading on your phone.
