Set in the stunning floating city of Columbia, another failed Eden like Bioshock's Rapture, Bioshock Infinite is a thrilling and beguiling game that will keep you hooked from start to finish.

Welcome to a different 1912

Bioshock Infinite is a first person shooter set in a fictional 1912, with violent combat based on guns, brutal melee-weapons and fun powers called 'Vigors.' You play Booker DeWitt, who has to pay of a debt by going Columbia to collect a girl called Elizabeth.
You are accompanied for much of the time by the Elizabeth in the game, and she is one of the best companions ever created. She helps out in combat, and her fascination with the world helps you enjoy the incredible city of Columbia.

Columbia is run by a self styled prophet called Comstock, and it's a disturbing vision of 'heaven'. His society is riddled with racism, class warfare and religious fanaticism, all of which is barely hidden by the undeniable beauty of the city of Columbia. These themes along with the violence make this very much a game for adults.

An engrossing adventure

There is no multiplayer in Bioshock Infinite, but you won't mind. The single player campaign is absolutely fantastic. The story that unfolds as you make your way to and through Columbia is excellent, and it's one of those games you'll want to discuss with people once it's over.

Traditional combat wrapped in a wonderful world

The combat is good in Bioshock Infinite, but occasionally you might feel it gets in the way of the rest of the game. Weapons are fun to use, and there are enough to suit most people's playing styles, but the enemies are limited in variety. It's a solid FPS, but the combat is outshone by the wonderful environment, story and your companion Elizabeth.

Breathtaking views

Bioshock Infinite's stylized graphics look great. Columbia is breathtaking, and the people you meet have an air of 'something's not quite right here', giving the game a really unusual atmosphere. The sound and acting is excellent throughout. The game saves with check points, which are OK, but it would have been nice to see either more frequent saves or the ability to save whenever you want.
There are three difficulty levels, which will suit most players, and when you complete it, a new ultra-hardcore 1999 mode opens up if you want a serious challenge.

Overall

Bioshock Infinite is not perfect. It's a fantastic experience, and a great example of a story that only video games can give you. But the basic framework of a First Person Shooter sometimes feels out of place in a game that pushes so much in other ways.
Breathtaking, violent, and sure to keep you thinking long after you've completed it, Bioshock Infinite is easy to highly recommend.

LEGO The Lord of the Rings

LEGO The Lord of the Rings continues the series of family friendly action puzzle games, after LEGO Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Batman, Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean.

This demo lets you play through 'Helm's Deep', where our heroes in the fortress of Hornburg are under attack from the forces of the Wizard Saruman.

What we expect from a LEGO game is a fun take on the source material, and that is what you get with LEGO The Lord of the Rings. The gameplay is similar to previous games, with simple action and puzzles to work through. The puzzles are better suited to kids, since they can be tedious for adults. The cut scenes are as charming as ever, although in this demo they do stick very closely to the scenes in the LOTR movies. The dark tone of Lord of the Rings isn't a perfect fit for LEGO's humor.

The graphics are excellent, as usual. The scene on the battlements, with the army of orcs spreading out into the distance below is epic to look at, and there is some excellent use of perspective that makes the action even more impressive. Like Batman, LEGO The Lord of the Rings uses voice acting instead of just the noises and expressions that the series started out with. However, the voices are good, and don't detract from the game. It is still the animations and expressions that give LEGO The Lord of the Rings its funniest jokes.

LEGO The Lord of the Rings doesn't look like a major development for the LEGO series, but it's another polished action puzzle game that will amuse adults and children alike.

MecaNet provides a way of learning typing with guarantee of success. This owes principally to that it uses the traditional method of the academies. Besides all that, Mecanet relies on timed examinations, games of typing and courses for the numerical keyboard, functions of those who cannot presume many programs. Undoubtedly it is a question of an excellent program so much to give our first steps with the keyboard like to improve the pulsations per minute.

The program is well designed, is based primarily on three moving windows: the top where it tells us what is the exercise we are running and if they are performed correctly. The lower left window where we can see an image of a keyboard which shows the letters to be pressed with flashing indications. And finally, the lower right window, you see two hands which indicate the distribution of keys with the fingers, finger tells you that you have to press any letter.

In this adventure the player controls Orazio, a big friendly cat who, with the help of his friends, must find a way to stop an evil multinational corporation from knocking down the cattery to build a motorway. All in the course of one night, during which Orazio will have to get up to all sorts of tricks to find a solution to the problem. The interface is in the classic "Sierra style", with the pop-up inventory in the middle of the screen and the icon bar with the basic interaction: talk, interact and look on the top.

This game was created in collaboration with an Italian association and is part of a project for schools to teach children the importance of respect for animals.

This adventure game is designed for childs, but the puzzles can be really fun for adults too.

Lego Batman 2 looks great, with all the superheroes and villains animated with tons of humor and character. It's still a lego game, but this looks better than ever. The voice acting is fantastic, and gets the tone just right. There are great jokes throughout, with plenty for all ages to enjoy.

Lego Batman 2 is an excellent family video game that's as fun to watch as it is to play. Gotham City's open world design means there's lots to explore and find, and there are lots of characters to unlock and play with.
