iPhoto 9.4.3

iPhoto is Apple's flagship application for managing and viewing photos on your Mac.

The interface is very slick and iPhoto features tons of tools to help you manage your library. In fact, the real strength of the program resides in the organizing options such as organizing by events, create a gallery, print out calendars and books etc. In particular, the unified search function allows you to quickly find any photo based on all sorts of criteria like date, name or keywords and now, even faces.

One of my favorite features of iPhoto are the photo montages which allow you to select a style of presentation with accompanying music. These look great and are a nice way to view your photos and reminisce on the past. However, I dislike the way iPhoto has to build a library file of your photos. If you've already got several GB of photos on your system, you don't want another huge iPhoto file taking up space on your hard drive.

Of course, iPhoto is also very well integrated into other Apple apps such as iDVD so your iPhoto images can easily be used in videos that you're editing. Displaying photos in full screen mode isn't as simple as it should be however - it involved way too many clicks and its hard to get rid of the toolbar.

Overall, iPhoto is an extremely elegant photo application which makes viewing photos a pleasure.

Download iPhoto 9.4.3 in Softonic

With many digital cameras shooting small movie files and the proliferation of consumer DV cameras there is no easy way on your Mac to look at folders of movies all at once.

Movie Montage solves this problem by allowing you quick access to movies all in one window, automatic full screen slideshows, easy file renaming, batch exporting using any codec Quicktime supports and the ability to save your favorite folders right in the application.

Download Movie Montage 3.3.1 in Softonic

ImageFlow Fx 2.2

ImageFlow Fx is a complementary addition to Final Cut Studio and Motion to allow you to add stunning animations to your movie edits.

ImageFlow Fx basically consists of a pack of animations designed to speed up the process of adding animations to video editing in Final Cut Studio and Motion. If you want to create animated photo-montages, then ImageFlow Fx can create complex animations from a folder of images allowing you to select the pace and effect and then instantly preview the result.

In total, you have access to about 14 animation effects from simple zoom effects to sophisticated melt and Polaroid effects. ImageFlow is also perfect for DVD menu backgrounds, motion graphics promos, documentary photo montage, real estate sales videos, digital signage, titles sequences among other uses.

ImageFlow Fx isn't easy to get to grips with for novice editors but if you know your way around Final Cut Studio or Motion, you should be able to get some stunning animations out of it.

Download ImageFlow Fx 2.2 in Softonic
