Fruit Ninja Theme for Windows 7

Fruit Ninja Theme is a set of desktop wallpapers for Windows 7 PCs that are based on the popular mobile game of the same name.

In fact, Fruit Ninja is so popular it's also available on your PC with Fruit Ninja HD. Now you can enjoy it on your desktop background as well.

The game requires you to slice and dice up air-borne fruit, and Fruit Ninja Theme pays tribute to that motif with a handful of colorful wallpapers. There are several wallpapers that seem to have an Asian influence, with Japanese artwork, artistic renderings of bamboo trees and even a ying-yang sign. On each of these Fruit Ninja Theme wallpapers, there are also the telltale signs of fruit splatter, paying homage to the graphical mess you can create in the game after you've successfully sliced through the fruit presented to you.

In addition, Fruit Ninja Theme offers two wallpapers with a fruit slicing ninja, as well as a pile of fruit that you'd be slicing yourself in the game. You can easily switch between backgrounds with a right click of your mouse.

Fruit Ninja Theme also has a few fun sound effects that seem to come directly from the game. Unfortunately, there are no personalized desktop icons to make the theme pack entirely complete.

If you're a fan of the addictive game, you'll love Fruit Ninja Theme for your Windows 7 PC.

Download Fruit Ninja Theme for Windows 7 in Softonic

Windows 8 Start Panel is an app that transforms your PC to look more like the upcoming <taglink type="program" country="en" id="329503">Windows 8</taglink> interface.

If you're always trying to find ways to make your computer look as new and impressive as possible, Windows 8 Start Panel is a lightweight app that'll get the job done superbly. It goes along with other programs that try to simulate what Windows 8 is expected to look like, such as Windows 8 Theme.

Windows 8 Start Panel looks very much like what the official video of the Windows 8 interface presented.
The app works on Windows XP, Vista and 7 PCs and offers a lot of stand-out features. It introduces tile organization, where everything on the interface is introduced on a colorful, minimalist Start screen. Some of these tiles in Windows 8 Start Panel include Socialite Tile for Facebook, Tweet@rama for Twitter, News Tile, Weather Tile and more.

Windows 8 Start Panel also includes a tile that lets you play music, and other games like Angry Birds and Fruit Ninja.

Unfortunately, there's no way to currently change the green background to another color of your preference.

Windows 8 Start Panel is a fun, lightweight way to give your current Start menu a Windows 8 appearance.

Download Windows 8 Start Panel Full 3.0 in Softonic

Borderlands: Claptrap's New Robot Revolution

It all started when the Hyperion Corporation decided it had enough of the greedy, haggling treasure hunters on Pandora. They were always selling, selling, selling and hardly ever buying high-quality, previously-owned munitions.

This was acceptable when there was The Vault to hunt for and Eridian Guardians to clear out of the way, but now they were just a drain on the local economy and resources.

Hyperion, like most corporations, was neither good nor evil.
It was all about profit, and now the most profitable action was to unclog the drain.

Of course, Hyperion already had just such a contingency plan already in place. Unfortunately, the treasure hunters were one tough hairball.
They had torn through thousands of beasts, bandits and corporate soldiers on Pandora.

The direct route wasn't going to work. So they decided to activate the top-secret, Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap!.
The plan was to have the Ninja Assassin take out the treasure hunters in more subtle ways: backstabbing, poisoning, spreading catty rumors, etc.

However, the Ninja Assassin was smarter than they thought.
He was self-aware, and he didn't like what he saw -claptraps everywhere being used for target practice or as menial corporate servants.

So instead of taking on the treasure hunters, he decided to take on Hyperion.
He rallied the claptraps to his cause, and the claptraps overran much of Hyperion Corporation's territory.

Of course, our heroes were trapped in the middle. They are eventually hired by Mr.
Blake (VP of Mercenary Relations and Tourism for Hyperion Corporation) to quell the revolution.

While the treasure hunters had no love lost for Hyperion Corporation, the claptraps were assimilating all life on Pandora and converting them into claptraps.

In the end, they must stop the Interplanetary Ninja Assassin Claptrap in order to release his control over all of Pandora's claptraps and collect their reward, of course.

In order to get this DLC working, you need the original game of Borderlands (version 1. 4. 0 and later) in digital form. except Steam. or the DVD version.

or the DVD version.

Download Borderlands: Claptrap's New Robot Revolution in Softonic

Total War: Shogun 2 is an epic turn-based strategy game that takes the long running series back to Japan, where clans are struggling for control of the islands.

Through the Roman Empire, Middle Ages, the Napoleonic Wars, Total War: Shogun 2 leaves Europe for action in 16th Century feudal Japan. Use your military, diplomatic and economic resources to expand your power and influence. Beat neighboring powers to enlarge your territory. Now you can have it back on your own computer!

Paintown is an open-source project that will brings many sweet memories back to you – that is, if you ever played that kind of games. It's a side-scrolling fighting game that follows the style of all those good ol' popular fighting arcades. The good thing is that, being open source, you don't have to spend your quarters to play Paintown.

That said, don't expect too much from it, especially as regards graphics. Both characters and backgrounds are very pixelated but at the same time this is precisely what gives the game that sweet retro look. As for characters' movements they're quite limited when comparing to other similar games, but there's a complete list of special punches and kicks you can check at the developer's website.

Paintown is a side-scrolling fighting game with old-style graphics that will please arcade lovers

Download PainTown 3.3.1 in Softonic

Super Vampire Ninja Zero Prototype

Super Vampire Ninja Zero is a one-player arcade fighting game, with 90s, 16-bit styling reminiscent of Double Dragon. You play Mina, a martial arts expert with a ton of undead and demons to take care of!

Super Vampire Ninja Zero is a prototype - the gameplay is all in place, but there's only one character and stage to play at the moment. There are play modes though, including Time Attack and Coop Survival. In normal mode you fight enemies in waves, that get progressively harder. Dracula is particularly tough!

The action has three dimensions, so you have quite a lot of space to move around, like the classic arcade street-brawlers of years gone by.S uper Vampire Ninja Zero's graphics look good, in a 16-bit way, and are pretty well animated. The style is Manga-like, but not graphic or bloody, despite the violent action.

Controls are great - the cursor keys are used to move, plus the QWEASD keys for action buttons. The system works really well, and after a short time you'll find yourself pulling out excellent combos on your undead enemies. While the gameplay is very retro, it's really well done, with great pace and suitable zoom-ins and slow motions for special moves and kill moves.

Super Vampire Ninja Zero is a fantastic little beat 'em-up as it stands, and fans of those old fighting games will be in their element with this!

Download Super Vampire Ninja Zero Prototype in Softonic

Rubber Ninjas Demo

Rubber Ninjas is a one or two player fighting game. It features easy to learn controls, ragdoll physics and some spectacular Matrix-like bullet time camera effects.

This demo allows you to play three stages of the single player campaign, and a two player game. Each round is set in a globe, with a painted background. Using only up, down, left and right, players launch their ragdoll rubber ninjas at one another, trying to hit their opponent.

Sometimes you are armed with batons or sticks, other times not. The trick is basically to fling your limbs into the opponent with as much momentum as possible, while protecting your head. It's easy to pick up, but playing thoughtlessly doesn't work too well. It basically comes down to timing a little luck, to get a good point against your opponent. When you clash, time slows and the camera spins around the dueling Rubber Ninjas, which looks cool, though occasionally it is disorientating, and control gets confusing!

While it's a bit random, Rubber Ninjas is pretty good fun, and playing with a friend on the same computer is nice. Even if control is imprecise, it still feels good when you do something impressive, and the camera spins around as polygrams of 'blood' explode from your opponent. The graphics are nice and shiny, which at the very least make Rubber Ninjas pretty monitor eye candy.

Super simple, Rubber Ninjas doesn't have much depth but it has the advantage that anyone can pick it up and start enjoying it.

Download Rubber Ninjas Demo in Softonic

Mini Ninjas 1.0

Mini Ninjas is the forthcoming game from Io Interactive, best known for the Hitman series. This is a much more family friendly game, featuring a cute cartoon style full of forest creatures, dumpy Samaria and of course a host of cute Mini Ninjas.

At first, Mini Ninjas looks and feels very reminiscent of Nintendo's cell-shaded Zelda games. You control a group of Ninjas, one a a time with varied abilities, and have to go on a quest to find who is threatening your village, and why the forest creatures are turning into battling Samurai.

Graphically there are some effects that seem directly taken from Zelda - while you are hacking and slashing your way through enemies, they disappear in a Windwaker-like cloud of smoke, to be replaced by squirrels and other cute animals. It's quite attractive, but the playing field is a bit closed, and sometimes during battles you can lose sight of your character amongst the grass, obstacles and enemies.

Gameplay is fairly simple. While you have a range of weapons and spells at your disposal, most of the time mouse clicking in the general direction of enemies is enough to beat them. For younger gamers, this simplicity will be great, but it doesn't give players much depth. Combat is not as fluid as in other games of this type, and again compared to Zelda it's nowhere near as good. To create this type of game is dangerous, as Nintendo games rarely feel flawed, whereas Mini Ninjas just doesn't come up to scratch.

Mini Ninjas isn't a bad game, but it's not a great one either. If cute ninjas are your thing, you'll no doubt enjoy this, but there are much better questing hack and slash games out there.

Download Mini Ninjas 1.0 in Softonic

Katakijin 1.1

Sometimes simpler is better. This is the case of Katakijin, a fun, simple platform game with a cute ninja as the main character.

Katakijin is perfect for taking a break during work and have some easy fun fighting any enemies you stumble upon in the most authentic ninja style. The game doesn't have realistic graphics at all; on the contrary, it reminds me of those good old arcades we used to play 15 years ago, because it mixes elements of platform games with side-scrolling games.

This graphic simplicity doesn't mean Katakijin is a bad game. In a way it makes it even more attractive. Also, don't let yourself be fooled by the game's apparent plainness: it can be more difficult that it seems. Your character, a small ninja, has to make his way through endless levels full of enemies and other obstacles you must overcome with your special ninja movements and weapons. And when you find two or three enemies together, you have to work hard to beat them up!

Katakijin is a simple, action-packed game with typical characteristic from old arcades and which will enable you to have fun for a while.

Download Katakijin 1.1 in Softonic
