You teach your children not to talk to strangers, but don’t you wish there was a way to make sure? With Call Control, you can be certain that at least on the phone, they will always be protected, even when you’re not around. With this app, your child will never talk to or message people he/she should not.

Call Control (CC) blocks all incoming and outgoing voice and video calls, SMS and MMS from and to numbers not on the phone’s contact list, plus all incoming WAP push messages. The application also prevents any changes in the contact list and keeps a record of all call and messaging activity, for you to review later. Parental control just became more efficient!

Kama Sutra is a Nokia-based guide based on the ancient Indian text on the subject of love.

Written sometime shortly after the second century A.C.E by Vatsyayana the Kama Sutra explains the social norms and love customs of North India around the time he lived. This handy mobile version of the text demonstrates some of the love-making positions outlined in the original Kama Sutra.

This mobile version of the Kama Sutra outlines more than 100 different positions, listed in a scrollable list. It can take a long time to scroll through the whole list, and the app would be easier to navigate if the Kama Sutra positions it shows were categorized in some way.

Click on a position and a description of that particular act will be displayed, along with a cartoon illustration of how it works. The Kama Sutra positions in the guide are generally well described but since the drawings are not explicit it can be difficult to work out the exact positions at times.

Each position in the Kama Sutra app lists pros and cons, helping you to decide which ones might be the most suitable for you.

If you're interested in learning about the ways of Kama Sutra, this Symbian application makes for a handy pocket guide.

Download Kama Sutra 1.0 in Softonic

With Nokia Drop you can transfer web content and files to your Nokia phone from your PC, and vice versa.

Nokia Drop is the ideal application if you want to have your computer and your phone completely synchronized. The app lets you transfer files without the need for cables, Bluetooth, or the cumbersome <taglink type="program" country="en" id="40401">Nokia PC Suite</taglink> software.

Using Nokia Drop is a simple, painless process. You just need to install the app on your phone, then download and install the Firefox or Chrome Nokia Drop extension in your browser.

Once this has all been set up, you can push content from web sites you're browsing to your Nokia device, through push notifications. Nokia Drop allows you to push a range of different things, including URLs, map views from <taglink type="program" country="en" id="76375">Nokia Maps</taglink>, news feeds and images.

You can also use Nokia Drop to install applications, themes, ringtones and wallpapers from the Ovi Store, without having to send an SMS.

Your phone does need an internet connection in order to receive content through Nokia Drop. However, there is a Store and Forward feature within the service that holds the information you want to send if your phone is offline, then forwards it when you next connect to the internet.

Nokia Drop provides a very easy way to send files, URLs, news feeds, and even install apps and wallpapers onto your phone from a computer.

Download Nokia Drop 1.4.12101 Beta in Softonic

Soundtracker is a free Symbian application that allows you to search for, listen to and share music from your mobile phone.

You can search Soundtracker for stations based on a particular artist or genre, then listen to songs by this artist and similar music. It works in much the same way as streaming music apps for other mobile platforms, such as <taglink type="program" country="en" id="75200">Last.fm</taglink>, <taglink type="program" country="en" id="322624">exfm</taglink> and <taglink type="program" country="en" id="3335275">Soundtracking</taglink>.

Just like these other music apps, Soundtracker has a social side to it. You can share stations that you've generated either via email, <taglink type="program" country="en" id="118150">Facebook</taglink>, <taglink type="program" country="en" id="113573">Twitter</taglink>, or on Soundtracker itself. You can 'follow' other users and access all the stations they've generated (and vice versa), which is great for discovering new music. There's even a feature that lets you find stations created by people in your area.

In general, the Soundtracker user interface is easy to get around, and once you've signed up for a free account you'll be streaming music in no time. There are a few small annoyances though, such as the fact you can't skip back through previously played tracks in the player interface - only forwards. We experienced some crashes in our tests on a Nokia C7, which seemed to occur when searching for stations added by others.

The selection of music on offer in Soundtracker is pretty broad, and covers the full gamut of popular music. With more than 10 million tracks in its database, you're sure to find something you like!

Soundtracker is one of the few free music streaming and sharing apps for Symbian phones and is well worth downloading if you enjoy listening to music on the move.

Download Soundtracker 1.7.4 Beta in Softonic

In our opinion the gray color looks very drab, but the 3D effect of the shelves is pretty striking.

The best thing about the Nokia 3D Theme though, is its icons. The colorful icons are well rendered in 3D and have a Mac OS X feel to them.

SPB Wireless Monitor allows you to monitor data traffic on your Nokia phone. It helps you save money by calculating how much you're spending from your data plan.

You can view and manage your network usage with SPB Wireless Monitor in a number of ways. The app provides you with an Application Report, showing you how much data is being consumed by each app you're running. The Traffic Report displays the total amount of data consumed on your phone.

Both of these reports in SPB Wireless Monitor allow you to filter data usage stats by Mobile (via carrier's data plan), or WiFi. You can also specify the period of time you want to show data for (daily, monthly, yearly, etc.) You can even export reports as a file.

One very useful feature of SPB Wireless Monitor is the ability to set up alarms that alert you when you pass a certain amount of data usage. This is very handy for monitoring when you're about to exceed your data allowance.

It would have been great if SPB Wireless Monitor went a stage further and allowed you to put a cap on traffic for a particular app. This would prevent an application from consuming lots of data without you being aware of it.

As it stands, SPB Wireless Monitor is an effective way to keep track of all the data you are using on your phone.

Download SPB Wireless Monitor 3.0 in Softonic

iPhone Theme (S60 5th)

The iPhone Theme for Symbian transforms your Nokia phone so that it resembles the famous Apple iPhone.

Install the iPhone Theme and you'll get a new set of menu icons in the style of those you'll find on iOS. The Calendar, Contacts, Gallery, Messaging, Settings and Applications icons are all as you would find them on the iPhone. There are some new ones (Log and Help, for example) for apps that don't appear on the Apple device.

The iPhone Theme also places an iOS-style dock at the bottom of your Symbian phone's home screen. Unfortunately, there are no icons on the dock, and also the home screen lacks a wallpaper image.

The iPhone Theme won't completely replicate iOS on your Nokia, but it does bring a touch of the Apple magic to the Symbian platform.

Download iPhone Theme (S60 5th) in Softonic

vMenu 1.52

vMenu is a free customization app that makes your Symbian phone act like an iPhone!

The application changes the menu interface of the S60 platform to make it behave more like iOS. With vMenu installed, your tools, options and applications will be split across multiple screens, which you can flick through by sliding your finger left and right across the screen, just like an iPhone.

Hold your finger down on the screen and vMenu will allow you to add or delete icons, in much the same way as you would on an iPhone. A small trash can icon appears, which you hit to remove an icon, or you can add a new one on with the 'Add' option.

vMenu comes bundled with a handy task manager, which allows you to browse through the list of running programs and switch to them or close them.

Although vMenu makes for a much more user friendly way to operate your Symbian phone, it does have a tendency to lag. Not only does the screen stick sometimes when you're flicking through, but it can also slow response times when launching applications.

That said, vMenu is still probably the closest thing you'll get to running iOS on a Nokia phone.

Download vMenu 1.52 in Softonic

Nokia Situations Beta 2.5 Nokia N97/C6

Nokia Situations is a context-aware application that adjusts your phone's personal settings based on what you're doing.

You can use Nokia Situations to configure different phone profiles based on different situations you might find yourself in. Examples could be: watching TV, walking the dog, having lunch, sleeping, etc. The clever thing about Nokia Situations is that it runs in the background and actually senses when you're in one of the situations, reverting to the profile you defined automatically.

Nokia Situations lets you program a range of actions to occur in a given situation. For instance, change ringtones, auto answer calls with an SMS, turn on power-saving mode, change theme or wallpaper, and more.

For each profile in Nokia Situations, you can define a set of parameters that will invoke that series of settings. You can schedule base on time, day(s) of the week, or dates; trigger the profile to activate at a particular location; or depending on connectivity (e.g., if WiFi is active).

As a Beta version, Nokia Situations is already looking quite impressive. There are a few options lacking at the moment, which will hopefully be added in the future. For instance, it would be great to be able to play around with even more options than you currently can, such as dimming the screen, tweaking connectivity options, or automated SMS reading when in a car situation.

Nokia Situations is an innovative app that can help you set the perfect phone configuration for any situation you might find yourself in.

Download Nokia Situations Beta 2.5 Nokia N97/C6 in Softonic
