   <title><![CDATA[iTunes 11.0.3]]></title>
   <link>http://itunes.en.softonic.com/mac</link>
<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>iTunes</strong> is an <a title="audio and video player" rel="nofollow" href="http://en.softonic.com/mac/audio-players">audio and video player</a> that lets you manage your <a title="iOS apps" rel="nofollow" href="http://en.softonic.com/iphone">iOS</a> devices as well as download content from the iTunes store.</p>
<p>iTunes 11 has been completely <strong>redesigned from the ground up</strong>. Development of iTunes has been stagnant the last few years so Apple needs to get this one right. Has Apple nailed it or is the new iTunes a mess? Read on to find out.</p>
<p>The interface of iTunes has been completely re-imagined. <strong>Everything is simpler and space is better utilized</strong>. In the previous version of iTunes, there was a persistent bar on the left where you can access playlists, albums, devices, and more. While it provided quick access to those features, most users didn't use them most of the time. Apple has scrapped this and has made the default album view take up the entire window.</p>
<p>Browsing by album is a pleasure. Click on an album and the tracks will show up below. iTunes also analyzes the color of album artwork to create a <strong>colored background</strong> for each individual album. It works well for the most part but the effect blurs the album art around the edges.</p>
<p>New in iTunes 11 is the "<strong>Up Next</strong>" feature, which is basically a fancy name for your queue. Add songs to your queue from wherever you are in the interface. You don't need to manage a playlist to arrange and rearrange the tracks to your liking.</p>
<p><strong>Creating playlists is much improved</strong>. Instead of having to jump in and out a playlist to add and arrange tracks, playlists now have a dedicated pane on the right where you can manipulate tracks without having to jump around the program.</p>
<p><a title="what is icloud?" rel="nofollow" href="http://onsoftware.en.softonic.com/what-is-apple-icloud">iCloud</a> integration has also been tightened. Every track you've bought in iTunes will now show up in your music library, whether or not it has been downloaded. Click on it to download the album. User can now also stream directly from the cloud instead of having to download the track first. This also applies to all your TV and movies that were purchased in iTunes. There's also a dedicated tab for iTunes Match, Apple's music matching service to make all of your tracks available across devices, if they're available in the iTunes store.</p>
<p>The iTunes store has also gone through a redesign with featured content up top. Top lists are still there and are easier to browse. iTunes 11 will also allow you to access the iTunes store content from your music library, suggesting similar artists and tracks, without having to take you to the iTunes store.</p>
<p><strong>The mini player has also been completely redesigned and is actually useful now</strong>. The mini player has gotten smaller but utilizes that small space much better than previous versions. Player controls will show up with you hover your mouse over the mini player. There's access to search and your Up Next queue can be manipulated from the mini player.</p>
<p>Devices now show up as a button at the top right. Clicking on it will take you to a detailed page where you can manage everything. Choose what you want synced, manage your apps, and even play music directly from your iOS device. <strong>Everything is easier to read and comprehend</strong> in the device tab.</p>
<p><strong>The only thing missing from iTunes 11 is a music streaming service</strong>. iCloud gives users the ability to download tracks locally but not stream them. There is no subscription service in iTunes to compete with the likes of <a title="spotify app" rel="nofollow" href="http://spotify-mac.en.softonic.com/mac">Spotify</a>, <a title="rdio app" rel="nofollow" href="http://rdio.en.softonic.com/">Rdio</a>, and <a title="xbox music app" rel="nofollow" href="http://xbox-music-windows-8.en.softonic.com/">Xbox Music</a>. It's only matter of time before Apple releases its own music subscription service but it's disappointing that Apple didn't release it with iTunes 11.</p>
<p><strong>iTunes is still one of the best media players around. It has gotten easier to use, feels less bloated, but is still missing a music subscription service.</strong></p><p>Download <a title="iTunes 11.0.3" href="http://itunes.en.softonic.com/mac"><strong>iTunes 11.0.3</strong></a> in <a title="Free software downloads and reviews - Softonic" href="http://en.softonic.com/">Softonic</a></p>]]></description>

   <title><![CDATA[Spotify 0.9.0.133]]></title>
   <link>http://spotify-mac.en.softonic.com/mac</link>
<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Spotify</strong> turned the world of online music streaming upside down, providing users with access to a <strong>massive music catalog</strong> anyplace, anytime.</p>
<p>While comparisons with other similar services – such as <a title="Last.fm Player" href="http://last-fm.en.softonic.com/">Last.fm</a> – are inevitable, Spotify has certain characteristics that make it stand out from the rest. You can search the entire Spotify music database in several ways (by artist, album, genre, decade, label brand…), create as many playlists as you want and share them with other users, and learn more about your favorite bands thanks to extensive, highly detailed biographies. Spotify also helps you <strong>discover new music</strong> through the “Related artists” and Radio service.</p>
<p>There are three types of Spotify accounts: <strong>Free</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong> and <strong>Premium</strong>. Free is limited to 10 hours of free ad-supported a month (approximately 200 songs) and lets you play each song up to five times. Unlimited has no ads and no playback restrictions. Finally, Premium includes high-quality MP3 (also with no ads or restrictions) and also includes an offline mode for playlists.</p>
<p>The one big criticism of Spotify was the lack of social features. Luckily the developers took note of this complaint and include a bunch of <strong>new social elements</strong> in Spotify’s next version – together with the Library, a centralized area from which you can manage your music collection – including Spotify’s lists and your own MP3 files, which you can now import into Spotify from your hard drive, your <a title="" href="http://windows-media-player.en.softonic.com/">Windows Media Player</a> Library or your <a title="" href="http://itunes.en.softonic.com/">iTunes</a> library.</p>
<p>The brand new features included in the latest version of Spotify now let you <strong>manage and sync the music in your iPod, iPhone or Android</strong>. Also, the Spotify mobile app has been made available for anyone, and not just Premium users. Last, but not least, Spotify has launched its <strong>MP3 download service</strong>, thanks to which you can buy and download individual songs and also your custom playlists. The price depends on the number of songs you want to download – the longer the playlist, the less you pay for each track. You can pay with credit card or Paypal, though the latter is not accepted if you only purchase one song.</p>
<p>Just like a good wine, Spotify gets better with age. If you don’t mind the limitations in the Free version (or you’re willing to pay for the Unlimited/Premium one) it’s probably time to ditch your old desktop music player.</p>
<p><strong>Spotify lets you browse, play, share and buy music, including not only your lifelong favorite bands, but also brand new styles and artists.</strong></p><p>Download <a title="Spotify 0.9.0.133" href="http://spotify-mac.en.softonic.com/mac"><strong>Spotify 0.9.0.133</strong></a> in <a title="Free software downloads and reviews - Softonic" href="http://en.softonic.com/">Softonic</a></p>]]></description>

   <title><![CDATA[VLC media player 2.0.6]]></title>
   <link>http://vlc-media-player.en.softonic.com/mac</link>
<description><![CDATA[<p>If you want to play <strong><a title="" href="http://en.softonic.com/mac/video">video</a></strong> or <strong><a title="" href="http://en.softonic.com/mac/players">music</a></strong> files in just about any format, <strong>VLC media player</strong> is probably your answer.</p>
<p>VLC media player is the most successful free open source multimedia player out there with over 500 million downloads according to the developers. In particular, VLC media player is a great alternative to </strong>, <strong><a title="" href="http://itunes.en.softonic.com/mac">iTunes</a></strong>, and <strong><a title="" href="http://realplayer.en.softonic.com/mac">RealPlayer</a></strong>. It's lightweight, fast, easy to use and most importantly, plays almost anything.</p>
<p><strong>Note that versions of VLC media player compatible with Mac OS X 10.1 to 10.6 are available</strong>. The main download link is version 2 for the 64 bit Intel version compatible with OS X 10.5 and above. However, you can find <a href="http://vlc-media-player.en.softonic.com/mac/download-version/vlc-media-player-1.1.11">VLC Player for OS X 10.4.11 Intel Macs here</a>. There is not, and there will never be, a version of VLC media player for Mac OS 9 say the developers.</p>
<p>It's been two and a half years since <a href="
<br />http://sourceforge.net/projects/vlc/files/1.1.12/macosx/vlc-1.1.12.dmg/download">version 1.0</a> was released and version 2 ("Twoflower") brings a new interface, faster decoding, support for more formats and the ability to play HD and BluRay. It still remains however the most stable, flexible and lightweight audio and video player around today. While other media players will play unusual formats after downloading a codec, or simply refuse to play things, VLC media player handles tons of formats, from <strong>MPEG</strong> to <strong>FLV</strong> and <strong>RMBV</strong> files. Version 2 has seen some important additions too such as support for 10 bit codes plus multi-threaded decoding for H.264, MPEG-4/Xvid and WebM.</p>
<p>Also useful is the fact that you can use VLC media player to preview files you are downloading since it plays incomplete parts of video files. VLC media player is not just for video playback however. It also offers superb integration with video channel streaming services such as Channels.com giving you access to channels such as <strong>ESPN, Reuters and National Geographic</strong>. Just right-click or CMD-click on the playlist, select <strong>Services Discovery</strong> and <strong>Channels.com</strong>. Channels.com will then appear in your VLC media player playlist. Click on it to reveal the the different categories of channels available. Click on the category you want and a drop down list of all available channels appears in VLC media player. Just click on the channel you want to watch and streaming should begin almost immediately.</p>
<p>VLC media player also has great hotkey support and if you take the time to learn the shortcuts so it can be controlled without touching your mouse. If you're watching DVDs or video files through it, this is not an issue. For music, it plays more or less any file and features an equalizer and playlist creation. VLC media player isn't as intuitive as <a href="http://itunes.en.softonic.com" title="iTunes"><strong>iTunes</strong></a> as a media manager, but it's a much more flexible player in terms of file formats. You can even use VLC to convert your files, and on top of all the formats and physical media it will play, many streaming protocols and TV capture cards are supported.</p>
<p>VLC media player makes it easy to add <strong>subtitles</strong> to your video files too - just add the <strong>SRT</strong> file to the folder where your video is kept, and it will automatically play with subtitles.</p>
<p>Finally, the interface has been somewhat improved in version 2 on Mac. In fact, the Mac interface is now considerably slicker than on Windows with a single window for everything. However, it's only available in 2 colors: Lion grey and QTX black. There are also new extensions support and better Lion integration. The preferences menu is still comprehensive without being overwhelming, and there is extensive documentation online.</p>
<p>Don't forget to check out some of our blog posts such as <a href="http://onsoftware.en.softonic.com/kmplayer-vs-vlc-media-player">VLC media player v KMPlayer</a>, <a href="http://onsoftware.en.softonic.com/how-to-rotate-a-video-with-vlc">How to rotate a video with VLC media player</a>, <a href="http://onsoftware.en.softonic.com/how-to-sync-audio-with-video-in-vlc">How to sync audio with video in VLC media player</a> and <a href="http://onsoftware.en.softonic.com/how-to-use-subtitles-with-vlc-player">How to use subtitles with VLC media player</a>.</p>
<p><b>There's very little to fault with VLC media player. It's a superb lightweight media player that will successfully play the most stubborn files where other players fail.</b></p><p>Download <a title="VLC media player 2.0.6" href="http://vlc-media-player.en.softonic.com/mac"><strong>VLC media player 2.0.6</strong></a> in <a title="Free software downloads and reviews - Softonic" href="http://en.softonic.com/">Softonic</a></p>]]></description>

   <link>http://xbmc.en.softonic.com/mac</link>
<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>XBMC</strong> is an excellent free open source media center that's been labeled as a "High Definition Hub" for all kinds of media.</p>
<p>Because it's open source, XBMC has been modified by some Mac users to create Plex although XBMC is the original base on which Plex is built. Which one you prefer will depend on what you want in a media center but XBMC is a pretty good contender being <strong>easy to use, slick, and supported by a large community</strong> of enthusiastic users.</p>
<p>XBMC has a highly <strong>“skinnable” interface</strong> meaning that it can look radically different based on which skin is used. Confluence is used by default, so this is what will greet you upon install but you may wish to change it to something else using some of the <a title="" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.xbmc.org/wiki/?title=Installing_Skins">free skins here</a>. Some of them are absolutely stunning and blow Front Row out of the water.</p>
<p>XBMC functions very well as a standard media player although it's far better if you use as a complete home hub for your entertainment needs. XBMC supports a huge range of r<strong>emote controls and keyboard shortcuts</strong>, and it feels like a real entertainment center. XBMC can be used as a <strong>standalone player or to stream videos over a network</strong>. You can stream your multimedia from anywhere in the house or directly from the internet using practically any protocol available. For example, XBMC can play CDs and DVDs directly from the disk or image file, most popular video formats on your hard drive, and <strong>even files inside ZIP and RAR archives</strong>.</p>
<p>If you want it to detect what you have, XBMC will <strong>scan all of your media and automatically</strong> create a personalized library complete with box covers, descriptions, and fanart. Finally, there are playlist and slideshow functions, a weather forecast feature and many audio visualizations.</p>
<p><strong>XBMC is a fantastic media center although if you don't want to go to the hard work of customizing it for Macs, Plex may offer you a better alternative.</strong></p><p>Download <a title="XBMC 12.1" href="http://xbmc.en.softonic.com/mac"><strong>XBMC 12.1</strong></a> in <a title="Free software downloads and reviews - Softonic" href="http://en.softonic.com/">Softonic</a></p>]]></description>

The first thing you'll notice about Songbird is its resemblance to the <a title="" href="http://itunes.en.softonic.com/mac">iTunes</a> interface, which means that if you've ever used iTunes you won't have any problem in learning how to use Songbird.</p>
<p>Songbird automatically imports your music files from a selected folder, monitors that folder for future music additions, organizes your music in a handy, easily browsable catalog, is compatible with iTunes and <strong>Last.fm</strong> libraries, can be controlled from any other app thanks to <strong>global hotkeys</strong> and also supports <strong>Last.fm scrobbling</strong>. It also includes <strong>album art</strong> and a simple <strong>equalizer.</strong></p>
<p>Songbird is such a complete tool that's hard to find negative sides to it. Plus there's an army of developers constantly working on improvements and new features. The only thing that's missing is support for podcasts. It should also be noted that with each new release of Songbird, your plugins may be broken by the new release.</p>
<p><strong>Songbird is a complete, full-featured music player and organizer with support for plug-ins and an extensive user community.</strong></p><p>Download <a title="Songbird 2.2.0" href="http://songbird.en.softonic.com/mac"><strong>Songbird 2.2.0</strong></a> in <a title="Free software downloads and reviews - Softonic" href="http://en.softonic.com/">Softonic</a></p>]]></description>

You can set up alarms different times and associate them with any song, playlist, podcast from iTunes, or just one of the built in sounds. It won't work with anything that's on an external hard drive though. When a song is played, Awaken will show its album art and information in its interface.</p>
<p>Setting up alarms is a cinch, and even if you fail to hear your wake up call, Awaken will launch a backup alarm for you. It also features snooze for those dark and cold mornings when you just can't get out of bed. If you'd like to use it for short tasks, you can work with the egg timer which can be adjusted to a few minutes or seconds.</p>
<p>We were also glad to see that Awaken works seamlessly with the Apple Remote, so even if your Mac is far away from you you can still control the alarm clock. However, you should know that alarms tend not to launch if an update of Awaken is available. Make sure you have the latest version of the program frequently to avoid falling out of bed.</p>
<p><strong>Fitted with a beautiful interface, Awaken is an excellent alarm clock for Mac which works seamlessly with iTunes. BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac is supposed to allow Mac users to easily sync data from popular applications like iCal, Address Book, Microsoft Entourage and others. It also allows you to add and remove applications, schedule automatic backups, encrypt backup files and install software updates for your BlackBerry smartphone.</p>
<p>BlackBerry Desktop Manager also integrates BlackBerry Media Sync thus enabling you to sync your iTunes music collection with your BlackBerry. Simply select the desired iTunes playlists from within BlackBerry Desktop Manager and the music, including song information and album art, is quickly transferred.</p>
<p>However, as mentioned earlier, users have reported problems when updating to this version of the program from version 1.0.0. They report contacts haven't been syncing properly, problems updating calendars, and even runtime errors. Note that installing this software also requires a restart of your Mac and disables all other BlackBerry syncing software installed on your machine. This means PocketMac for BlackBerry or The Missing Sync, will no longer be able to connect to your device and will not work until BlackBerry Desktop Manager is uninstalled.</p>
<p><strong>It's unbelievable that it's taken RIM so long to BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac and depending on your individual experience, you may not think it was worth the wait.</strong></p><p>Download <a title="BlackBerry Desktop Manager 2.4.0.17" href="http://blackberry-desktop-manager.en.softonic.com/mac"><strong>BlackBerry Desktop Manager 2.4.0.17</strong></a> in <a title="Free software downloads and reviews - Softonic" href="http://en.softonic.com/">Softonic</a></p>]]></description>

When you run the library inspector on startup, it will display the errors or problems it has found and then ask you how many of them you'd like to correct. In the trial version, you can't make any corrections but you can see what's wrong with your collection.</p>
<p>beaTunes can also auto organize playlists by such things as genre, rating and even beats per minute. It could be regarded as a virtual DJ although as with all apps like these, some of the suggestions and mixes it will make will inevitably be a bit dodgy. beaTunes goes beyond what you've got installed on your Mac though, and interacts with both the iTunes store and Amazon database. This allows you to discover albums related to your music that you might not have heard or just follow the Amazon charts. The Amazon charts take a little while to load but you're presented with a thumbnail of each album currently in it plus you can divide the charts into genres too.
<br />
<br /><b>beaTunes is a nice little application that could help clean up your iTunes collection and introduce you to new music.</b></p><p>Download <a title="beaTunes 3.5.10" href="http://beatunes.en.softonic.com/mac"><strong>beaTunes 3.5.10</strong></a> in <a title="Free software downloads and reviews - Softonic" href="http://en.softonic.com/">Softonic</a></p>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<p><a href="http://vlc-media-player.en.softonic.com/mac">VLC media player</a> is one of the most popular and powerful media players for both Windows and Mac. However, it can't play Blu-ray discs but this nightly version can and previews what to expect from the next release of VLC.</p>
<p>VLC media player nightly supports partially encrypted Blu-ray discs and brings a more polished look and enhancements to the options and codecs in this flexible player. VLC media player nightly is more visually striking with a new sidebar allowing quick access to your playlist, media folders or online streams. The final version will also include a search tool so you can find missing media much more easily than before.</p>
<p><strong>Blu-ray support</strong></p>
<p>The most important feature in VLC media player nightly however is Blu-ray support. However, for legal reasons, it will only open partially encrypted Blu-ray discs. It can also now output audio to Android and iOS devices. Note that it can also be quite unstable as this is effectively a beta release of VLC media player.</p>
<p><strong>VLC media player nightly is an exciting glimpse at how VLC media player will look and finally supports Blu-ray discs.</strong></p><p>Download <a title="VLC media player nightly 2.1.0" href="http://vlc-media-player-nightly.en.softonic.com/mac"><strong>VLC media player nightly 2.1.0</strong></a> in <a title="Free software downloads and reviews - Softonic" href="http://en.softonic.com/">Softonic</a></p>]]></description>

   <title><![CDATA[MediaLink 2.50]]></title>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://screenshots.en.sftcdn.net/en/scrn/67000/67934/1.jpg" border="0" align="right" style="margin:0px 5px 5px;" /> <p>For me, the feature which best sums up the PlayStation's impressive multimedia capabilities is its membership of the DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance). This means that the PS3 can communicate and share content with a large number of other networked devices. And although Apple aren't members of the DLNA, several companies have been working to enable streaming of multimedia content from Macs to the PS3. Nullriver's MediaLink is the newest kid on the block.</p>
<p>MediaLink works in a similar way to its competitors, acting as a file server which allows you to stream multimedia files, including your iTunes and iPhoto libraries across your home network. Your PS3 detects the server, connects and the shared content shows up in the XMB (PS3 menu).</p>
<p>When compared with its competitors, notably Elgato's <a href="http://eyeconnect.en.softonic.com/mac">EyeConnect</a>, MediaLink performs very well. I experienced no cuts in transmission or delays, and I was impressed to see better handling of iTunes artwork as well as video previews. Some DivX files which worked with other media servers weren't detected by MediaLink, which was disappointing. I think this was due to the files having the '.divx' format and I expect that this issue will fixed in time. That said, video playback generally works without issues, though image quality was not always as good as when using EyeConnect.</p>
<p>Browsing photo and music libraries is a breeze with MediaLink, though there are some interesting differences with competitors in the way that it presents the iTunes library. I noticed that EyeConnect always displays the iTunes library exactly as iTunes would (select an artist, then an album and you'll see tracks by that artist which feature on that album), while MediaLink seems to use a different indexing system (select an artist and then an album and you'll see all the tracks on that album, irrespective of artist) - this suggests that MediaLink is building its own index of files rather than relying on your iTunes library file.</p>
<p><strong>MediaLink is a robust, reliable media server option for sharing content from your Mac to your PS3, and compares well to other apps in its class. Recommended.</strong></p><p>Download <a title="MediaLink 2.50" href="http://medialink.en.softonic.com/mac"><strong>MediaLink 2.50</strong></a> in <a title="Free software downloads and reviews - Softonic" href="http://en.softonic.com/">Softonic</a></p>]]></description>

   <title><![CDATA[RealPlayer SP 12.0.1]]></title>
   <link>http://realplayer-sp.en.softonic.com/mac</link>
<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>RealPlayer</strong> used to be an essential application for streaming media content from the web, but you can live without it today. It is still a fully featured media player, with library, sharing, converting and downloading features.</p>
<p>Note that <a title="" href="http://realplayer-gold.en.softonic.com/mac">RealPlayer Gold</a> was the original version of RealPlayer which <a title="" rel="nofollow" href="http://realnetworksblog.com/?p=1614">went "Gold" after beta testing was finished</a> between versions 10 to 11. After that however, RealPlayer confusingly went back to version 1 again with RealPlayer SP although even more confusingly, the latest version is labeled version 12.0.0 in the program's "About" section but version 1.0 on the Real download site. RealPlayer Gold however remains very popular because it offers extra features that have been removed in SP and you can <a title="" href="http://realplayer-gold.en.softonic.com/mac">still download it here on Softonic</a> even if it's not apparent on the RealPlayer site. We assume that the reason RealNetworks did this, is to try and encourage people to pay to upgrade to <a title="" rel="nofollow" href="http://eu.real.com/realplayer-plus/realplayer-sp/">RealPlayer SP Plus</a>.</p>
<p>The installation process is a bit annoying because to configure RealPlayer SP, you have to shutdown your browser. However, you can still configure it afterward even if you don't so my guess is that it's trying to install itself as your default player by asking you to shutdown and restart your browser first. In addition, the RealPlayer converter comes as a separate program with this download and has to be installed separately although it works well convering Flash to H264 for example and automatically adding tracks to iTunes. You're also prompted to install the Real agent which will sit quietly in your system and help you download Real compatible videos when needed.</p>
<p>There is wide support for most major video formats although audio such as ACC+ isn't supported. Also, although it is supposed to be compatible with Adobe Flash 10, many users have reported problems when trying to play it over long periods and RealNetworks suggest going back to Flash 9.</p>
<p>While RealPlayer SP may lack some of the functionality of Gold - mainly the absence of a CD burner - it's certainly a more modern player designed for the social networking and mobile era. RealPlayer SP for Mac lets you download online videos from thousands of sites and transfer them to your iPod, iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry or other mobile device. Tranferring video is easy courtesy of an on-screen menu within the main screen itself simply labeled "convert".</p>
<p>RealNetworks have also introduced features such as PerfectPlay and LivePause, a new Playlist window and the ability to play Windows Media content. There have also been improvements in the way RealPlayer handles streaming and buffering courtesy of TurboPlay for fast connections and RealVideo 9 and RealAudio Surround for the needs of HDTV. There's also a RealPlayer downloader integrated which means that you can download Real media video and audio to your Mac.</p>
<p>One of the most annoying aspects of RealPlayer releases is that they often take a while to start because of the various plugins they use but RealPlayer SP is pretty snappy. The removal of the CD burner from RealPlayer SP however is a shame but overall, it's a vastly improved media player.</p>
<p><strong>RealPlayer SP is RealNetworks slickest and most advanced media player to date.</strong></p><p>Download <a title="RealPlayer SP 12.0.1" href="http://realplayer-sp.en.softonic.com/mac"><strong>RealPlayer SP 12.0.1</strong></a> in <a title="Free software downloads and reviews - Softonic" href="http://en.softonic.com/">Softonic</a></p>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://screenshots.en.sftcdn.net/en/scrn/36000/36114/screen-capture-2.jpg" border="0" align="right" style="margin:0px 5px 5px;" /> <p>Imagine you've just got that shiny new iPod or iPhone and you've filled it with your favorite music. But one day you may want to transfer songs back from your iPod or iPhone to your Mac. Frustratingly, with <a title="" href="http://itunes.en.softonic.com/mac">iTunes</a> you can't do so, which is why Senuti was invented.</p>
<p>Senuti could be useful to transfer music after a hard drive crash, the purchase of a new computer or just to move music between computers. When your iPod or iPhone is connected, Senuti instantly lists all the songs and playlists that it can detect. It can automatically add songs to your iTunes library or you can define a folder for them to go into. If you are worried about duplicates, Senuti displays a small blue dot next to every song you already have in your library.</p>
<p>The first thing that strikes you is the simplicity of the interface followed by the speed of Senuti. It uses a small file known as 'iTunesDB' on your iPod or iPhone device to rapidly extract every bit of essential information for every song and playlist. In addition, it supports simple dragging and dropping of both music and playlists, which will not only copy songs to your computer and add them to iTunes, but will make a new playlist with the same name and add all of the songs to that list.</p>
<p>Some users have complained of instability issues but I experienced no such problems. Senuti detected my iPod's songs instantly and transfers to iTunes were extremely quick.</p>
<p><strong>Senuti offers a quick and simple way of transferring songs and playlists from your iPod or iPhone to your Mac.</strong></p><p>Download <a title="Senuti 1.2.7" href="http://senuti.en.softonic.com/mac"><strong>Senuti 1.2.7</strong></a> in <a title="Free software downloads and reviews - Softonic" href="http://en.softonic.com/">Softonic</a></p>]]></description>

Musictube offers a much more elegant solution than searching for different tracks individually on YouTube. Its interface is <strong>beautifully designed</strong> and will let you quickly search for artists and tracks.</p>
<p>When you play an artist in Musictube, the playlist will be populated with tracks by that artist. One of the best features of Musictube is the ability to <strong>switch between the live, studio, or cover</strong> of the currently playing song. You can also enable the video of the song to be played in a box on the bottom right. Musictube <strong>supports up to 1080p</strong> <a href="http://en.softonic.com/mac/audio-players" target="_blank">video</a>. There is also a <strong>full screen mode</strong> that lets you enjoy your music distraction free.</p>
<p>In use, Musictube is very stable and launched quickly. While Musictube is beautifully designed and easy to use, it leaves much to be desired in terms of <strong>sound quality</strong>, which is to be expected. YouTube uploads don't usually have the best sound quality. It also would've been nice if Musictube included some music discovery tools.</p>
<p>This trial version of Musictube limits playlists to 10 tracks and doesn't support video.</p>
<p><strong>Musictube is a well designed and easy to use YouTube music player although the sound quality and music discovery need improvement.</strong></p><p>Download <a title="Musictube 1.1" href="http://musictube.en.softonic.com/mac"><strong>Musictube 1.1</strong></a> in <a title="Free software downloads and reviews - Softonic" href="http://en.softonic.com/">Softonic</a></p>]]></description>
