RAR Expander 0.8.5 Beta 3

Handling RAR files on Mac can be quite common, so you need a solution to extract them quickly and easily.
I've found RAR Expander to be such a program.

Open up your archive with the program and it will take care of the rest. It's most important feature is handling multi part archives, quite useful when you're expanding a file containing multiple video parts for example.

RAR Expander will also work with password protected files, but you'll have to make sure you remember your password before expanding.
The real downside to using RAR Expander is that it is exclusively limited to the RAR format.

While this is one of the most common formats you'll come across, it's a shame that the program doesn't let you expand other popular formats like Stuffit Expander does.

Users have also been known to prefer unRarX, which effectively restores corrupted archives, something that RAR Expander doesn't seem to handle.

Download RAR Expander 0.8.5 Beta 3 in Softonic

Dragoman 1.8.0

I can already hear you complaining at yet another batch converter. It's true there probably are way too many converters out there, with the majority of them pretty much identical too each other. Dragoman is all around pretty good though and stands out thanks to its versatility.

I've found Dragoman very easy to use: just drag and drop your file onto the interface, select the format you want to convert it to and let it work its magic. Dragoman's real strength is that it handles all sorts of formats, from images to audio, text and archive. You'll find only video is missing to turn it into a complete batch converter. For each category, Dragoman offers a wide choice of formats, although you will probably notice that some of these, such as MP3 or RAR, are read-only.

Batch converting with Dragoman is as simple as working with one file. You just drag are your files onto Dragoman, select the output format and let Dragoman do the hard work.

Dragoman is a good batch converter handling multiple file formats.

Download Dragoman 1.8.0 in Softonic
