If you're the sort of person who needs to stay on top of weather information for either your business or social life then Tenki will help you do so wherever you roam.

Tenki is designed to transform your Windows Mobile device into your own pocket weather center. The application feeds you with a wealth of meteorological information for a given location on our planet.

Unfortunately, I found the Tenki interface rather clunky. The main screen is confusingly laid out and it's hard to know where to start. What's more, if you live outside the US then you need to load your web browser and obtain your city code via the Internet, which is rather annoying. It would've been nice to be able to enter your location based on your GPS location too.

Once you've finally got your location loaded into Tenki though, you'll realize it was worth all the effort just for the sheer amount of weather information at your disposal. There are three different views available: Current, Forecast and Station, and each is packed with up-to-the-minute readings on everything from temperature to humidity to sunrise and sunset times.

Despite it's rather awkward user interface, Tenki proves to be a comprehensive and reliable guide to your local weather.

It sounds impressive but Pocket DVD Wizard can reduce 4 DVD's to just 512MB in size without losing a great deal of quality.

This is great news if you're going away fro an extended period of time and want your favourite movies with you. The program works with both standard Pocket PCs and high resolution 640x480 VGA Pocket PCs. It allows you to select the image quality that you are satisfied with and watch the converted video in full screen mode without "letterbox" style black bars above and below the picture. The developers claim that it also works with Windows based Portable Media Center players, such as the Creative Labs Zen PMC or the iRiver PMP-120. This includes Windows based Smartphones such as the iJam and Motorola MPX handsets. Apart form the impressive compression ratios, what strikes you immediately is the ease of use of this program. There's very few clicks required to compress a DVD and it works pretty quickly compared to similar efforts. The fact that it supports to many output devices also distinguishes it from the rest - it can output to anything from a Pocket PC to an iPod or PSP. I also like the fact that it allows you to highly customise the ripping process, if you choose to, so that you can remove unnecessary files such as subtitles and extras.

There's not much to fault with Pocket DVD Wizard - if you like your movies on the go and have multiple devices, then you should look no further.

If you're always the bridesmaid and never the bride then perhaps you should download Confetti onto your Windows Mobile device.

Confetti is a very simple application that does nothing more than allow you to draw all over your screen with a confetti-style brush. Launching the application will turn your screen white then you just need to drag your stylus or your finger across the screen to draw shapes.

There are only two control keys in Confetti - the down button will erase your drawing and the center button will quit the program. There really is nothing more to the program than that. There's no option for saving your creations and nothing in the way of different brush types or effects to apply to your drawings.

In short, Confetti could be an amusing bit of fun to pass some time but it's not something you'll want to keep on your PPC forever.
