The WWE Raw graphics are really impressive. From the adrenaline-filled opening to the pumping music and excellent crowd details, the whole thing is impressive from the moment it starts. The wrestling itself doesn't let the game down either - it's believable and doesn't lose any detail during gameplay, although the moves available are limited.

Unfortunately, the WWE Raw trial version is really restricted: you can only try one out of the four game options and only two WWE superstars are available, The Rock and Kane. Menus and options aren't well designed, so even though the game graphics are great, actually figuring out how to play or exit isn't so easy.

The characters in this excellent 3D game aren't actually real sumo wrestlers, rather robotic characters made out of blocks. The object of each bout in Sumotori Dreams is to knock down your opponent before you fall yourself. This is easier said than done due to the clumsy way that the blocky wrestlers stagger around as if they're drunk.

The key when you play Sumotori Dreams seems to be to get in early and push the other fighter before you inevitably topple over yourself. You score a point for each knock down and the first to five points is declared the winner.

Incredibly, Sumotori Dreams weighs in at just 96Kb in size. This is particularly hard to believe given the slickness of the animation, the realistic game physics, the uber-cool lounge music soundtrack, and the various lighting options you can choose between. There's even a two player mode where you and a pal can tough it out on the same keyboard. Oh, and there's an awesome hidden game mode lurking inside Sumotori Dreams (I'll leave it to you to discover it, though).

Playing Sumotori Dreams gave me the biggest laugh I've had from a game in ages, and it's hard to fault it all. Perhaps in a future release they could add different fighters with different special abilities.

On seconds thoughts, that might take away the simplistic magic of Sumotori Dreams, which is a charming little game.

Google has always been great at coming up with new ideas to fill a gap in the Internet or software market. Its latest creation, FotoWall is designed to help you quickly produce photo montages, which you can use as desktop backgrounds.

The first thing you'll notice about FotoWall is its quirky user interface, which is one of the most cumbersome of any consumer imaging app I've seen. Adding photos can only be done by dragging and dropping them onto the interface, and unless you know that beforehand you'll spend about 10 minutes looking for an 'Add image' button, trying to right-click to open some kind of menu, or hovering the mouse over various parts of the screen for clues. Oh yeah, there's no help menu either.

Once you've eventually sussed out how to put the photos into FotoWall, they can be resized and rotated using the green and red buttons that appear on the bottom of each picture. Try changing the background gradient color or the text color and you're transported back into a world of pain as you wrestle with the randomly-located pop-up palettes that seem to have a life of their own.

When you've finished creating your collage in FotoWall you can render it out as a PNG, choosing your compression level ready to set it as your desktop background. The results are generally uninspiring though, due to the limited control you have over the editing of the document (for instance, you can't even change the horrid default font).

Google is renowned for creating great apps. Unfortunately FotoWall is not one of them.

I'm sure many videogame players have considered creating their own game at some point. The problem is having the necessary knowledge for this kind of project.
