To help The Walking Dead game feel more like the comic series that is it based off of, Telltale has chose to use a cartoon, cell-shaded art style as well as releasing the game in five episodes. The story in The Walking Dead is absolutely engrossing, bolstered by great voice acting and character models. While the graphics in The Walking Dead aren't the most advanced, its cell shaded art style brings the comic book characters to life with vivid colors and hard brush strokes. You really care about each of the characters in your group. There are also some great villains in the game that do some shocking things.

Since there are so many choices a player can make in The Walking Dead, your friends playing the same game will most likely have different stories than you. This gives The Walking Dead some stellar replay value. At the end of each episode, you're given a report on how your choices coincide with other Walking Dead players.

The story builds up to a nail-biting climax, albeit a short one. Since The Walking Dead is so good at making you care for the characters in your group, finding out the fate of Clementine and Lee will leave you breathless. Some players have complained about the ending but I think it was beautifully done and goes along with the themes presented in the game.

TellTale Games has done right by The Walking Dead franchise with an engrossing storyline that provides a parallel to the comic. This game is a terrific value and is one of the best games of 2012.

Tower defense games have been done to death, but PopCap has breathed life into a often dull genre with Plants vs Zombies.

Utilizing your gardening skills, with the occasional help of Crazy Dave, you have to harvest sunlight to grow an army of plants to destroy the hordes of approaching zombies. Each Plants vs Zombies round starts with a clear lawn, and you have to build up your defenses, usually starting with sun producing sunflowers, then peashooters, and so on.

As you progress through Plants vs Zombies you are given a larger armory including mines, bombs and more. While your capabilities improve, so do the zombies - you'll meet a range of zombies which require different tactics to be destroyed. The 60 minute demo gives you a great introduction to this really well balanced game. The attacking zombies are paced just right, so you're always under pressure to keep planting, while you have to do pretty badly to get overrun and lose.

The graphics are cheerful and detailed, while the sound features some amusing effects that never get irritating. the main game is broken up with mini-games, like bowling, which help to keep it feeling fresh. The mixture of real time strategy and cartoon zombies is pretty irresistible, and it's hard to imagine someone not enjoying Plants vs Zombies

It seems just about everyone is getting into the zombie game genre. There's one for every platform and they feature many of the same gameplay elements. All Zombies Must Die! isn't innovative in its gameplay but its writing might just win you over.

The biggest differentiator that All Zombies Must Die! brings to the table is its quirky and funny writing. While most zombie games feature a noticeable scarcity of plots, All Zombies Must Die! tries to make a funny zombie game. It doesn't take itself too seriously.

Gameplay is simple. You view your character from a top down 3rd person perspective. Move your character with the keyboard and aim with your mouse. Shoot by clicking in the direction of the enemies. Since All Zombies Must Die! is a top down shooter, it can be difficult to keep track of where the cursor is. It would have been helpful for the cursor to be a different, more attention grabbing color too. Alternatively, you can use a dual analog stick controller for easier control.

There are objectives in each level given to you by the robotic gates. Perform the specified task and you will be granted access to the next level. After each level, All Zombies Must Die! rewards its players with achievements, experience points, and upgrades. Goals and upgrades do a good job of keeping the game entertaining, though the shooting can get repetitive after a while.

All Zombies Must Die! doesn't provide much innovation within the zombie-shooter genre but there is enough funny writing and interesting quests to keep players engaged for hours.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is set in 2025, and the military relies heavily on computer-controlled drones to do its dirty work. This reliance proves fatal when America's enemies manage to take control of this high tech drone army, and turn it on US cities.

The single campaign in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 follows Alex Mason in the 80s, and his son David in 2025 as they fight a terrorist called Raul Menendez. It offers greater replay value than most triple A shooters, thanks to its branching storyline. During a game you will make choices that change the game, and give you one of six different endings.

The near future missions feature some cool technology, which feels fresh after so many years of the same old adversities! Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 isn't revolutionary, but it feels a lot more dynamic than Modern Warfare 3's coridoor like story. One thing that hasn't changed, luckily, is the totally over the top story telling. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is finally an FPS that you could buy for the sinlge player mode.

Optional Strikeforce missions put you in control of multiple units, and feature Overwatch Mode. This gives you an aerial view of the battlefield, so you can order your troops around. You have various objectives, and have to guide your troops to victory.

You can jump into the action with any soldier on the field, and also control the various drones at your disposal. There's a lot of freedom in these kinds of missions, and they are totally different to what we've seen before in CoD. Controlling the quad copters which allow you to zip around above soldiers heads armed with rapid fire machine guns is great fun!

These are 'sandbox missions' - you can complete them any way you like, and in a totally fresh turn, you are free to lose the battles too.

Call of Duty Zombies returns, and has been expanded with a story mode of sorts, but doesn't feel as well made as the rest of the game.

Multiplayer modes are pretty much what you'd expect, but instead of classes and set loadouts, there is now 'Pick Ten'. This means you can just pick the weapons and attachments you like, without worrying about whether you are a sniper or not.

There are 14 multiplayer maps, and they are all well designed, and will no doubt provide months of great competition. Overall, while the multiplayer is solid, it doesn't feel as fresh as the single player campaign.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 does enough to ensure its success. It's got a great campaign, and a deep enough multiplayer mode to keep you playing until next year's game!

As its so easy to get into, Blacklight: Retribution is really addictive. You can totally enjoy the game for free, and earning points to customize your weapons and soldier makes it compelling.
What Blacklight: Retribution doesn't do is make many concessions to FPS beginners. Despite the training, new players will be cannon fodder until they learn to compete with the experiences players online!

One nice feature of Brawl Busters is that the first few levels are introductory and simplified into a tutorial to teach you how to play the game. These levels include lessons on how to move, hit, combine movement and use the objects you come across in the game.
