We are back to tell you what are the 10 most important video game releases for April 2023. It is true that we do not have a month as strong as those of the first quarter of this year, but we expect good games of the caliber of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor or the downloadable content of Horizon: Forbidden West. Let’s go with them.

Meet Your Maker (April 4, 2023)

Meet Your Maker is a first-person post-apocalyptic game where construction, infiltration, jumps and action predominate. In this adventure we will have to guard the Chimera, an experiment created as an ultimatum to save the Earth.

In addition to learning how to survive, players can design their own levels. It will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox X | S Series and PC.

Curse of the Sea Rats (April 6, 2023)

Curse of the Sea Rats, a metroidvania developed by the Spanish studio Petoons Studio, looks great. With an impressive visual style (each animation has been drawn with great care as if it were a movie), in this game we will have to embark on the journey of four prisoners who have been transformed into rats by an infamous witch.

The game bases its entire story on how they will have to fight and overcome obstacles to recover their human bodies, all this accompanied by the classic dangers of this type of games. Curse of the Sea Rats will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox X | S Series, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Sherlock Holmes The Awakened (April 11, 2023)

Released a decade and a half ago, Sherlock Holmes The Awekened is a remake of the original game that not only brings new graphics to this era, but also a gameplay readapted to the current needs of players. Of course, its essence remains unchanged (it was what made it famous).

In this adventure where Lovecraft gives the setting to the world of Sherlock Holmes, the famous detective has to face the Cthulhu Myths. We will have to investigate a series of mysterious disappearances that are related to a cult, all while avoiding dangers and overcoming obstacles. Available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox X | S Series, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection (April 14, 2023)

Capcom brings us a dream compilation with the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. This bundle includes 10 action-packed games, as well as additional features such as a gallery consisting of over 1,000 illustrations, music, online play and much more.

The story is the same as the original games, i.e. in the year 200X, the rapid advancement of Internet technology has created the new “network era”. People have learned to enjoy the benefits of the network through personal exploration devices called “PET” and personality simulation programs known as “NetNavis”. As the online world expands, making life more convenient, so does cybercrime. Our protagonist Lan Hikari and his NetNavi, MegaMan.EXE, must join forces to meet these challenges. The games coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC are:

  • Mega Man Battle Network
  • Mega Man Battle Network 2
  • Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue
  • Mega Man Battle Network 3 White
  • Mega Man Battle Network 4 Red Sun
  • Mega Man Battle Network 4 Blue Moon
  • Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Protoman
  • Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Colonel
  • Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Gregar
  • Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Falzar

Minecraft Legends (April 18, 2023)

Developed by Mojang and Blackbird Interactive, Minecraft Legends is Xbox’s bet on its license, but in other directions. In this game, action, strategy and resource management play a key role (as in Minecraft). However, here everything is oriented more towards an adventure with its own story than the sandbox we are used to.

Minecraft Legends will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox X Series | S, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Horizon Forbidden West – Burning Shores (April 19, 2023)

One of the big releases this month is the expansion of Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores. This additional content puts us back in the shoes of the warrior Nora Aloy, just after the events of Horizon Forbidden West.

In order to enjoy the expansion, players must have completed the game’s campaign up to the Singularity mission, also included. Once this is done, Aloy will receive a call in the Focus that will start the DLC. This time, Aloy will travel to a dangerous new region south of the Tenakth Clan Lands, where players will experience a new plot with new characters, machines and adventures. Available only for PlayStation 5 (not released on PS4, although the base game is).

Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp (April 21, 2023

Another classic that returns to the present, Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. The Game Boy Advance games appear on Nintendo Switch in a compilation with new graphics, the gameplay of the time and a fun online mode to also fight against other players.

One of the best strategy video games we had for handhelds needs no introduction, right?

Dead Island 2 (April 21, 2023)

It’s hard to believe, but Dead Island 2 is really coming out. This video game has been announced for so long since its first trailer that it is incredible that in just a few days we will have it with us.

After suffering countless delays and even changes in the development team, this zombie adventure forces us to survive while finding resources in an extremely hostile area. The rest is already known. Dead Island 2 is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox X | S Series and PC.

The Last Case of Benedict Fox (April 27, 2023)

One of the most surprising adventures that last year’s festivals gave us: The Last Case of Benedict Fox. We play Benedict Fox, a self-proclaimed detective who travels with his demon companion to explore the minds of the recently deceased.

Behind this bizarre story lies a platform game where action and puzzles go hand in hand. In addition, everything comes garnished with an incredible artwork. It will be available for Xbox X | S Series and PC.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (April 28, 2023)

Surely, the bombshell of this month, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Developed by the veteran Respawn team under the leadership of game director Stig Asmussen, in the game we return to control Cal Kestis, now more powerful and experienced who carries on his shoulders the hopes of the future of the galaxy. After the events experienced in Fallen Order, he is no longer a rookie with a laser sword, something that will be reflected in the game.

For this occasion, we have new faces like Cere Junda (Debra Wilson), Greez Dritus (Daniel Roebuck), Merrin (Tina Ivlev) and the new mercenary Bode Akuna (Noshir Dalal), who will support Cal against the Empire and the enemies of the galaxy. It will be released for Xbox X | S Series, PlayStation 5 and PC.
