Surely you remember the video game Stray, a title that revolved around a cat wanting to escape from a city full of robots and embarking on a beautiful mission to save the world.
Well, someone has decided that it was a good idea to turn the adorable cat into CJ, the protagonist of GTA: San Andreas, but in the form of a cat. This means we’re talking about a deformed CJ with four legs and a huge head.
A GTA mod that no one wanted, only the trolls
This mod that replaces the lost ginger kitten in Stray with a version of CJ from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is pure nightmare fuel. The game goes from being for all audiences to being a nightmare.
With its contorted body and forced to trot on all fours, the inclusion of CJ by modder Sirgalahad172 is meant to be a joke, but in this and any other reality, it is a disturbing reminder that no game is safe from the CJ specter.
“This mod is meant to be a joke, as CJ must be included in every game that exists,” wrote Sirgalahad172 on the mod page. We understand there was irony in their words.
If you prefer something much less horrifying, Nexus Mods has other more normal modifications that can be used. There are available appearances of calico, Siamese, and tuxedo cats, as well as other aesthetic changes based on real cats that modders offer for free.
You can even apply a Garfield skin to the little stray cat, which works in a strange way. Just don’t use it on a Monday, as you know they’re hateful and he hates them.
If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s worth getting your hands on Stray. Subscribers of PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium have Stray included with their subscription. However, it’s definitely not the GOTY they tried to sell us at The Game Awards 2022.
