What bad luck to travel light-years only to crash into an airplane. Of course, memes have spread like wildfire in a post-pandemic landscape where nothing, not even the confirmation of alien life, could excite or surprise us in the slightest.

The government, en masse, has come out to defend the official version: “Extraterrestrials? There’s no such thing, no evidence, etc.” It’s exactly what someone hiding alien life in their basement would say. “There is no verifiable information to corroborate claims of programs relat9ed to the possession of extraterrestrial materials,” commented the Department of Defense.

“No verifiable information” is the same as saying nothing: as long as materials are classified, there will always be rumors of alien life.
