Yesterday, Rovio teased a “New Angry Birds” game with a photo of bird silhouettes. Today the company has revealed that the new Angry Birds game is called “Angry Birds Stella.” The game will feature the company’s first female protagonist, but not much else is known about the game. Will Angry Birds Stella feature the same physics-based gameplay of the original game or will it have a story to tell?
The teaser photos released by Rovio hint at some type of drama between the characters in the game as the tag line for the game reads “Best friends forever… Most of the time.” Rovio promises to “open a door to a part of the Angry Birds universe you’ve never seen before” and that “Stella and her friends are good at finding creative solutions.” That last part hints that puzzle solving could be a core aspect of the game.
There is no release date but Rovio says the game will be out some time this fall.
