Apple unveiled its new Apple Pay digital payment system today. Apple Pay will replace your credit cards with your iPhone, using near field communications and TouchID.

According to Apple, over 200 million transactions are performed daily but with an an “antiquated payment process.” Instead of finding your credit card, swiping it, showing ID and finally signing the receipt, all you have to do is tap to pay with Apple ID. You’ll approve transactions using the TouchID sensor.

The service even works online, filling in payment details for you. No more filling out long forms for address and payment information. Some services like Uber will let you pay with Apple Pay without even creating an account. Popular reservation app OpenTable will even let you pay for your meal using the service.

Apple Pay is secure because cashiers will never see any of your personal details during a transaction. Apple doesn’t know what you bought, where you bought it, and how much you bought it for,” said Apple senior vice president of Internet Software Eddie Cue.

Apple Pay will be launching in the US next month. The service will support American Express, Master Card, and Visa out of the gate, but more cards will be added in the future.

Only iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus users will be able to get their hands on Apple Pay. Sorry. Your iPhone is now obsolete.
