Apple never stops: whether it’s iPhones or Macs, the company continues to work on renewing its most successful products. Macs, in particular, have become very popular thanks to the integration of Apple Silicon and its M-family chips.

Months ago we saw how Apple launched the Mac Mini with M2 and the HomePod. However, there is one computer that has been crying out for a renewal for some time: the iMac. According to Bloomberg, the next generation iMac would be in “an advanced stage of development”.

Still, it would not be the only one. Apple is reportedly preparing to launch its next range of notebooks and desktops, including the rumored iMac. In fact, we have already talked at length about the alleged new MacBook Air and MacBook that would be in development, so they could be referring to these models.

Where is the iMac? Details of its manufacture come to light

According to the well-known journalist Mark Gurman, the next iMac is at a very advanced stage of development. The next iMac will continue to have the same screen size (24 inches) as the current model, announced in April 2021.

At the moment, the versions being tested also come in the same colors as the current iMac, a palette that includes blue, silver, pink and orange. And of course, they will be more powerful. The irruption of the M1 chip was a revolution and even today, they still deliver in many ways. Will we see a future M3 chip in iMacs? Only time will tell.

For the time being, several of the computer’s internal components will be relocated and the manufacturing process for attaching the iMac stand will be different as well. Despite the progress with the iMac, it is not expected to go into mass production for another three months or so.

The great forgotten: the Mac Pro

Apple’s top-of-the-line computer has been on hiatus since 2019, the year where its famous “cheese grater” design was shown. However, Bloomberg ensures that the company has not forgotten about the computer and that they are still working on its continuation. And in this sense, Apple’s bet is clear: we will have a processor designed by Cupertino. Even so, when we will see it remains an unknown.
