We’ve spent months hearing rumors about AirPods with a camera. We’ve seen clues and drawn conclusions from the most insignificant hints, but today… today we have a surprise. The macOS Tahoe 26.7 RC includes an official Apple video of AirPods with a camera. Yes, Apple has leaked the new device.

Visual Intelligence is coming to AirPods

In the video, a user lifts a book from a table so the AirPods can save it. The narration, in Siri’s voice, explains: “With Visual Intelligence you can save your world. See something you like? Just ask me to save it for later”.

Being able to access the magic of Visual Intelligence without having to rely on the iPhone camera is, without a doubt, a very interesting premise. The system, as reported by MacRumors, will even warn us when our hair or clothing covers the AirPods so the image is always clear.

A launch that could already be very close

The new AirPods with a camera appear internally under the code B790 and, as far as we know, their launch is just a few weeks away. The date most often mentioned, of course, is September, coinciding with the unveiling of the iPhone 18 Pro.

It’s not every day that Apple leaks a new product this way. An official confirmation of a very significant change in one of the company’s most interesting devices and a small glimpse of what may be on the way with future smart glasses.
