As we approach the end of 2023, it’s the perfect time to review our music habits for the year. Apple Music offers an exceptionally useful feature for this: Apple Music Replay 2023. Unlike Spotify Wrapped, which is only available from December, Apple Music Replay allows us to track our most listened-to songs throughout the year, providing a continuous view of our musical preferences. It’s now when it makes the most sense and we tend to pay the most attention to it.
Our year, in perspective
To access our Replay 2023 list on Apple Music, simply open the Music app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. You’ll find the list in the “Listen Now” tab located at the bottom. Additionally, Replay isn’t limited to just the current year. If you’ve been a subscriber since the early days of Apple Music, you can go back as far as 2015 and relive your playlists from previous years.
What’s fascinating about Apple Music Replay is that it doesn’t just provide a list of our most played songs. Through the dedicated Apple Music Replay website, we can also uncover additional details like our favorite artists and albums, as well as the total time spent listening to music. These insights are updated weekly, every Sunday, until the year’s end, allowing us to track how our musical tastes evolve over time.
Meanwhile, Spotify users will have to wait until December to get a similar summary with Spotify Wrapped. This difference in year-round availability is, in the opinion of many, what makes Apple Music Replay such a valuable tool for music enthusiasts.
Recalling how to deactivate Apple Music’s Autoplay to prevent exiting our playlists and albums, or how to set up and use Apple Music’s Crossfade in iOS 17, it’s evident that Apple Music Replay 2023 is an excellent way to reflect on our musical year. Whether we’re interested in seeing how many times we’ve played our favorite song or exploring our listening patterns over time, Apple Music Replay provides a fascinating window into our musical world.
