Arc Raiders update 1.36.0 is live: solo, duo, and trio tracking split

Arc Raiders got its 1.36.0 update on July 7, 2026, and the biggest change is how matchmaking now tracks behavior across different queue types. Embark Studios says solo, duo, and trio play now each have their own separate profile.

Up to now, all of that sat under one shared profile, so the way you played solo could spill over into your squad lobbies, and the reverse was true too. With the split in place, matches should feel more consistent. It also means you can keep a careful, PvE-focused solo approach separate from the more aggressive, PvP-heavy style that tends to come out in trio runs, Embark says.

The studio says this came directly out of player requests, including feedback collected through a matchmaking survey in May 2026. It should also make the system harder to exploit. Early reactions from players and creators have been encouraging, though some are still holding judgment on whether this alone is enough to pull back people who stopped playing.

Version 1.36.0 officially launched on July 7, 2026, though Embark said it hit Xbox early and briefly led to matchmaking problems. Cross-play was also turned off for a short stretch until the other platforms caught up.
