If what this source claims is valid, the highly anticipated GTA from Rockstar Games will be delayed for another year: until 2026. The lack of updates from Rockstar about GTA VI has been a source of discord between the publisher and its fans.

The modder and writer of GTA Base, Liam, has shared this shocking news on Twitter.

GTA VI is delayed until 2026… or so they say

Although it would be prudent to exercise caution, Liam is a reliable source. He was one of the first to leak that a trailer for GTA VI was going to be released.

This doesn’t automatically grant you the right, but it gives more validity to your claims. According to Liam, GTA VI has been “internally delayed,” and Rockstar now aims for a release “in early or mid-2026.”

“This information comes from various developers from two studios,” Liam added to reinforce his claims further.

Until Rockstar confirms these rumors, it seems like 2025 is still the year for GTA VI. That said, don’t be too surprised if an announcement is made soon that changes that…
