Batman: Arkham Origins receives a mod that gives it a graphical overhaul worthy of the current generation

In a landscape where the video game and technology industry is constantly evolving, it is important to stay updated on the most relevant news. One of the most interesting proposals that has recently emerged is the Arkham Origins Advanced Graphics mod, which aims to enhance the visual experience of Batman: Arkham Origins. This mod, updated to version 2.0, features a series of significant improvements in graphics, including an increase in the quantity and size of snowflakes, as well as better lighting that provides a more wintry atmosphere, emulating the game’s presentation in the pre-launch demos.

A spectacular aspect

The improvements are not limited to just the snow; the textures have also been optimized. For example, the Gotham skyline has been replaced with a higher resolution version taken from Arkham Knight, and Batman’s suit now includes an enhanced model, previously exclusive to multiplayer mode. Additionally, shadows have received attention, with a reduction in banding artifacts that affected visual quality and an improvement in reflections, making the environment look more realistic.

However, it is important to note that not all parts of the game have been transformed. The cutscenes remain in their original .usm format and are limited to resolutions of up to 720p, indicating that there are technical restrictions that modders have not yet been able to overcome. To install this mod, players will need to download it from Nexus Mods and ensure they have at least one of the necessary DLCs for the particular setup of Arkham Origins.
