Battle.net opens up: Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher are coming

Battle.net is opening up, at least a little.

At BlizzCon 2026, Blizzard and CD Projekt Red announced a broader long-term partnership that will bring Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered to Battle.net.

The news came during the “30 Years of Battle.net With Special Guest CD PROJEKT RED” panel, where Amelia Korzycka and Miles Tost laid out the plan. The agreement also folds Witcher and Cyberpunk crossover content into Blizzard games, which makes Battle.net look a lot less like a Blizzard-only launcher and starts to suggest a more open storefront model.

From the BlizzCon 2026 announcement, Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty are set to arrive later in 2026. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Remastered, meanwhile, is already up for pre-order ahead of its 29 September launch. The expansion Songs of the Past can already be added to your wishlist.

Blizzard says Battle.net players who pre-purchase Songs of the Past once it goes live, or pick it up at launch, will get a Geralt-themed Barbarian skin in Diablo IV. The company also said more Witcher-inspired Diablo IV content is planned for 2027, while Overwatch is lined up to get Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Edgerunners 2 crossovers in 2027. So far, the reaction has been mixed.

If you use Battle.net a lot, this one should stay on your radar.

You can pre-order and wishlist the Witcher releases on Battle.net now, while Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty are due to follow later in 2026.
