Battlefield 4 players will soon be able to join platoons of up to 100 players. The platoon feature first debuted in Battlefield 3 and will be launching in a slow, staggered rollout starting February 27th as part of its Player Appreciation Month (basically an apology for the game’s buggy launch).

Platoons will allow Battlefield 4 players to be more social with private chat and promotions/demotions. The new mode will also allow players to collectively level the platoon up and to see all the stats of the matches you’ve played together. For platoons to rank up, players must play together in the same round where your team’s scores will be averaged or accumulated and applied to the platoon.

Your platoon can also be customized with names, player designed emblems, and links to your platoon’s website if you have one.

DICE will rollout platoons starting February 27th to Battlefield 4 Premium subscribers. You must be at least rank 10 in order to create your own platoon.
